Once upon a time 34sp had pretty competitive pricing but over the years they've become more expensive and their competitors have become less espensive.
No 24/7 support. Very slow to respond to problems. The same problems come up over and over again and they do nothing to compensate for them. Even if you pay for business hosting they are super unreliable, there's way too much downtime and stuff is always breaking!
I've been on 34SP for almost 2 years. U.K. located servers, but very fast everywhere, and i experinced only 1 downtime. Thats over the 99,99% uptime!! AND they have one of the fastest, friendliest support team ever!
I had to move because of their reseller's price, but compared with my ex-hosting providers, they are on the top!
There is the occasional outage which is a bother, especially when it takes down email. Otherwise, quite reliable and probably the best value available.
How can anyone possibly complain about the price? £15 per year for superfast hosting, full CGI, SQL, etc...
I've experienced NO problems whatsoever with this host. They were recommended to me by a few other people and I now recommend them too. Great forums if there are any problems you are unsure of and a great service, in my opinion.
I wouldn't hestitate to recommend them to anyone else.
The price is quite a winner. I've been using it for two years and its never failed me. I'm quite happy with the service as well. They have extras you can add if you need a more complex system but the basics work fine for maybe 80% of the web building population. Enjoy!
34SP are great. I'm not sure what problems Martin S has had below, but I've never experienced any downtime at all. The staff are always quick to respond, and are usually available in their chat room for an instant response.
I have 2 sites with them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They have a referral scheme too, so when you refer people you can get money off your account!
I used this host for my old website www.cool-mobile.net, although the hosting was slightly overpriced for the actual amount of space recieved, the customer support and speed of loading was top notch. The control panel was easy to use, and the site never ever went down. Recomended highly for people just starting up new websites.
