Excellent host. Had some concerns with uploading files initially, as some have mentioned below, but setting the ftp client properly helped (I believe they have strict firewall rules to keep server secure which I understand is a good thing personally, others might have different opinion who do not know how to configure their ftp clients or something) and site runs smooth after all its on a really beefy server, I believe its got 12 gig of ram and 8 cores. Have had 100% uptime for my site, no issues whatsoever.
I have recommended this host to some of my friends as well, and they have moved from hosts like godaddy etc. to A1 Web hosting solutions .. these guys are perfect, after years of bouncing hosts finally I found a home for my sites. They go above and beyond as well to help setup your site for you or if you are having some technical issues with your site.
Kudos to the owner, really helpful and very knowledgeable.
I can never upload anything without running into TONS of problems. It takes me almost an entire day just to upload wordpress to the account. I email them and they get back to me fairly quickly but with the same answer: "don't queue more than 2 files at a time, do you have a firewall on?"
I recently moved from a friends hosting service to A1 webhosting. I read the reviews on here and felt that they were worth looking into.
Contacted them and decided to sign up. After I got my website transfered I got banned. Not just from my site but from A1's site as well. Why? Cause according to them I had about 400 FTP connections going at once.
Now being a user of Filezilla I figure it could be possible, if I was using filezilla to load the files. Instead I was using cpanel to upload all the files and database information for my site. You can imagine how suprised I was to be banned for using cpanel to upload stuff.
After contacting them and getting unbanned I figured no biggy not going to be doing intense uploading for a while.
About a day later I have 5 people asking if the site is down. I of course can access the site just fine. They can't access the site or the a1 webhosting site. Needless to say I immediately canceled the service and have moved on to polurNet, where I should have gone in the first place. They don't ban random people for no reason!
On the plus side their costumer service was friendly and seemed knowledgeable and their prices were very reasonable, despite there site saying mega bits(Mb) not MegaBytes(MB)/Gigabits(Gb) not GigaBytes(GB).
I have used A1 Web Host for a number of sites for almost 2 years now and I am very pleased. I can't remember any problems and all have been working fine.
I've been building and maintaining websites for over 3 years now. I have used many hosting companies over the past few years. The ONLY web hosting company that I recommend to use is A1 Web Hosting Solutions.
They offer GREAT support, stable servers with very reasonable pricing. I would have saved myself a few headaches if I had found this company sooner.
I had a1whs service for about a year now and their service has always been exceptional. During the past year, I recommended them to over a dozen of my friends, some of them who registered and got the same experience that I had.
For $1.55/mo and with rock solid stability and almost instant support, what more could you ask for? There were MANY times in which a1whs' crew of technical support and I had conversations over the weekend AND holidays! Now that is support! Something you barely see nowadays.
At the end of last year, I decided to move on and look at other web services (it never hurts to look), but after 3 weeks of looking and contacting different hosts, I decided that a1whs was the best choice for me.
I emailed customer support asking questions on a general topic, and to my surprise, they remembered me! 5/5 is definitely well deserved from this company, hands down!

i would highly recommend hosting with A1 Web Hosting Solutions. i am ever so pleased and very happy.
All I can is I have nothing but praise for A1. They've had some rocky situations (not of their creation) but were very quick to send out emails explaining what was going on and how long it would take to for any anomalies to be rectified. My site has been up for 99.98% of the time and that says a lot about the commitment A1 has for their customers. Some people say you get what you pay for but as far as I'm concerned with A1 you get more than what you pay for. Props to the staff of A1 for the great service they provide to their customers.
Been a customer for over 3 months. Still going great, A+ support, download speeds have also dramatically increased. Making a lot of new improvements! Would recommend a1whs.com to friends and family.

Since I am a rookie at webmastering I had many problems with configurations of my hosting account.
The admin/support at a1whs.com has been most helpful and together we solved all problems.

Excellent Support , Great Speeds. Also helped installed scripts and forums free of cost. Transfered my other 3 sites also to a1 web hosting solutions . Just perfect. Would Recommend this host to everyone but in particular to newbies into hosting and getting sites online :)
