They have suspended my account because they said my website do a overload in database. Aplus said that they sent 3 times alert by email.. but is false.
Aplus have Terrible Service, bad tecnical support, and is not clear at begin to sell the hosting plan. They are force me to buying a dedicated server or give them other hosting account data to tranfers. I have 1 year payeed. |

My site is hosted with Aplus on a dedicated server. As I type this, their network has been down for 23 hours due to a packet router in Phoenix going bad. The site is technically accessible, but page loads are measured in minutes instead of seconds, often just hanging indefinitely, and trying to Ftp or Ssh files in either direction is impossible.
Every time I ask them when it will be back up, they pull a time out of the air (or other places) just to get me off the phone or chatbox and stop bothering them.
I do not recommend this company. |

Great reliable connections I had like 2 downtime instances. We used 1 dedicated server for hosting with an 80gb hard drive (big mistake) so I decided to order an upgrade. Well that's when all the problems started and at first they were nice about it but the data that I placed on the 250gb drive would randomly lose data. I asked them to check the hard drive and they just replied back with ADMIN error.... How come the thing would work for 8 hours straight before data would become lost? Rebooted multiple times so the folder was remounting on the second drive fine but then the worst came on a reboot yesterday when the server didn't even come up. He said files were missing etc etc. Then they said the server was in working order no it was not. IT WAS ON but the control panel software I paid for was not on there the apache server was broke... Needless to say don't expect a decent call from a good person unless you order something. If you submit a ticket or talk to their online chat 'gurus' they will tell you they will get back in touch with you but will NOT...
Another problem ordered 8 IP's told I will have them in 24-48 hours they tell me they didn't have the form you have to fill out to order IP's I responded back with the ticket number because someone closed the ticket 3 minutes after I submitted it.
Summary:
When you order from there just order a big server if you have the money. They are good until you need upgrades or someone that isn't a jerk. My salesman Hank is still a good guy and I know he has alot of customers very good recommendations for 'packages'. He tried his best to help me but the DS Technicians are mostly jerks, at least a few of them I talked to. NOT ALL OF THEM. I will not be back and I will not recommend them to any of my business partners or friends. |

Aplus started out as a highly recommended hosting service about 4-5 years ago, and at one point I had almost a dozen websites hosted with them through a resellers account. Since then, their customer service and reliability has gone to the dogs. Their technical support is unhelpful, barely polite, and their website management tools are slow and buggy. And don't ever register a domain name through them. They've been holding a domain name hostage now for over a week while I struggle to transfer one of my last accounts away from them. Stay away from this company, they aren't what they used to be, and there are dozens of better hosting companies with the latest management tools and helpful customer service. |

We have registered couple of services like hosting plans and domains with them.
Their support is excellent! We faced a problem recently with the payment (delay from our side) and on request we got a extension of a weekly (after their grace period of a month). Control Panel is very user friendly, and email notifiction is good.
Aplus should add another + to their name. |

We hosted with them for about a year. Billing errors galore, horrible customer support, and very confusing control panel.
We now host the site elsewhere, but because of their hidden rules, we've been through hell and back trying to get the domain transferred away from their incompetency.
Their support is rude and does not use correct grammar and spelling, which makes for very confusing conversations. They hide their terms and conditions from plain view so that the customer cannot accomplish what is needed.

i have a dedicated server,it been in aplus.net about 1 1/2 years, in the first months i get some troubles, so my server was down about 22 hours , beacuse hard drive problems they refund me the 5% per hour as the warranty policy says, everything since this problem was fixed, has been running fine, my server its really fast i was looking for the cheapest, so i found it here in aplus.net its great and powerfull , about the support they are in the chat 24hr so if you have troubles they can fix it almost in real time, my server its been up and running my app about 10 months without a reboot server, and nothing just working very very i mean very fast. if you have some questions you can ask them in the chat, so they will answer you everything |

Aplus Net has had a security breach that impacted several of its customers. The breach allowed pornography to be placed on several sites, including several college and educational institution sites.
Aplus net refused to provide log access information the affected web domains and server machines. The requested logs were pinpointed by date and time, so it wasn't a data quantity issue. If your host doesn't want security problems resolved, what does this tell you? |

These guys are the worst! I have been through hell trying to get my website up with them. Several emails and several phone calls, all with different people telling me the same thing over and over and bouncing me between companies, it's been a big waste of time and money!
All three customer reps who I talked to wouldn't even bring up the issue (domain name transfer) until I explained it to them in full detail. Every conversation started off with, "How's your website going? Do you have any problems?" I would explain to them the problem and they would all say, "Yes, on our records it shows..." and then explain to me the problem in full detail! Why not just give me a solution right off the bat instead of beating around the bush trying to make small talk and waiting for ME to bring up the problem!
All of them said they would send me a follow-up email, but never did, so I was never able to get back in touch with the same rep. The phone numbers they gave me to call back didn't work either!
This has been a nightmare and now they are giving me the runaround on my refund! It's the worst! They do not have a satisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau! Avoid, don't repeat my mistakes! I paid a lot of money for nothing by headaches! |

I have been with APlus for serveral years and can say that they were pretty reliable until I changed over to their JSP hosting plan. It has been pretty bad since then. Stay away from their JSP plans! |

Stay clear of this company. Their fairly competent looking web page and attractive hosting plans are not matched by the quality of their service...not even close.
Registered around 10 domains and got a single hosting plan. All for personal use. I was told during the first sales call, in no uncertain terms, that the single hosting planc could be used to host any number of domains, as long as GB limits were met. Was told that with each domain I could have a large number of email a/cs.
The first issue I had was that after I signecd up, both of these statements were not true, I was told by the tech support. One hosting plan (the one I had, any way) could host only 2 domains and that with other domains (with no hosting plans), I could get only one email (any and number of aliased that I can forward to that single email. Now I am a tech consultant myself, so it's not that I didn't understand the conversation during the sales call; it's just that for the sales guy, truth didn't matter, just getting my business during the call did.
I was severely disappointed, because my decision to sign up with these guys was based largely based on these two statements. Tired of doing research for a good company, I decided to give them a chance, hoping that they would at least deliver well on the service.
From the beginnning, I had nothing but frustration trying to use any feature at all..even doing things like create an email box. Their main management interface is confusing like hell (I have been an IT consultant for 11 years; been to 40+ companies so far!) When I was able to decipher the interface and try to do something, things would just not work.
Couldn't create an email a/c. The fixed something. Then couldn't access the email box. They said my account is "messed up" and fixed it, but would not tell me what was wrong. Then I couldn't build a simple web site with their designer software. Again they said they fixed something. In a few days, the site disappeard! I didn't touch it!! I tried to rebuild it a month later. After completing the design, while publishing, got weird error. They said my ftp account was messed up, whatever that meant. Last time I used it, it was working so I don't know what kind of ghost do they have roaming in their premises that would mess it up!
It just went on and on. The only reason I gave them better than worst rating for support is that their support is readily available...through phone/chat. The chat is especially cool and they never make you wait or make you feel like the tech is talking to 10 other people. Fairly nice to you too, when you call, and I felt like they did try to help you.
However, if their underlying infrastructure is unreliable/buggy or their second line techies incompetent, unavailable or unresponsive, the front line people can't really do much for you. Any time my issue was not resolved on the first contact, the issue wasn't handled properly by the backend people.
I don't know how I didn't see this web site (webhostingjury) when I was reasearching companies. Perhaps I saw it, but like with hosting companies, it's not easy to gauge the quality of the review sites, so I might not have relied on it much. Is there a review site that reviews review sites? :)
Anyway, seeing aplus.net get badgered on this site, I am willing to put a bit more trust in webhostingjury.com, and will consider its ratings to select another hosting company.

I had problems after switching from a Unix to a Widnows shared server. I had problems updating my site with FrontPage and went back and forth with tech support for a full week. The phone support person would always forward the incident to an administrator, who would take more than 24 hours to get back to me. Finally, after five days my web site went down for the whole day. At that point, I switched providers. |

Worst service their is. A commercial sitemap script I use kept on crashing my site. Got told by support that I do need it. What? I will decide what I need, and this script runs perfect on all other sites!
Oh, and the worse is the editor of Cnet recommends this lot. Well, Cnet and Aplus- you are both history. |

I've hosted with many different companies. APlus.net had the best support I've encountered. I have four servers with them. I can always get my account manager on the phone if I need new hardware or need to troubleshoot the servers. I like that I can remotely reboot my server from the road. So far. So good. |

AVOID! They couldn't solve a simple technical issue, so my website was useless. I cancelled the service using their online cancellation form, but they kept billing me. When I asked for refund, they lied that they never got my cancellation. |

The pricing is great for the features you get, however unbelivable poor policies to keep you out of spam lists. In the past month my email server has been on various spam lists three times, twice within 4 days!!! if you rely on email - DO NOT use this service. |

Very, very poor service. Constant downtime, poor customer support and poor training. Their servers would crash or be down for hours at a time on a nearly weekly basis. Simply updating our database would often crash their server for a full hour. I do NOT recommend this company at all. |

I've had a dedicated server with Aplus for about 2 years (I don't know why I've stayed so long) and have had NIGHTMARE support conversations, HUGE billing mistakes, and so many things go wrong it makes me want to cry. Don't go with Aplus.net ever! |

No problems at all. Billing is correct, support was always available, quick and professional.
Now I'm planning to move a site to them from another provider with huge mysql search demand. I hope it will be all right.

Problems with this host include their website interface and, above all, customer support.
The interface is user-unfriendly, does not allow you to block cookies or pop-ups, and is generally slow.
Customer service is usually available, but the staff does not seem well trained, the quality of the phone connection is always poor, and the accents of the people on the line are so difficult to understand that I get the strong feeling I'm not talking with someone located in the US.
I came to this site looking for a new host after I experienced an e-mail outage for about 24 hours, due to a glitch in the A-Plus subscription renewal process that was never adequately explained to me. This is completely unacceptable; I would not recommend this provider. |

worst billing and customer support
every month they got the billing wrong- would spend voer 1 hour each month correcting the billing on the phone with their customer service.
Then the next monthe same error would appear. Credit card charges still in dispute. |

This is by far THE WORST hosting company I have ever encountered. I am a web developer who has worked with many different hosts- and aplus.net is a complete disaster. Their control panel is not user-friendly, but beyond that, it's their technical/customer support that is completely useless and unprofessional. I wish I had saved the transcript like some others have done- so I could post it here. They are so rude, it's unbelievable. They have no knowledge of what they are doing, say they are going to email you something, and never send it.
I have never been treated more unprofessionally and as rudely as I have by the "live chat" workers at aplus.net. STAY AWAY! My client is switching hosting companies as we speak. They have been nothing but a complete nightmare. However, if you like being treated disrespectfully, they might be the one for you. |

I have been very happy with the Aplus hosting. Though my site is rather small, primarily just a family site with photos, they were very helpful when I set up the site. At one point, I had problems getting Frontpage extensions to work on the site. Their folks were very helpful and responded quickly via email. My only complaint would be the lack of MySql in the Solo XR plan that I have. Otherwise, highly recommended. (I have not experienced any downtime or other issues mentioned in other reviews). |
