I've now been a customer of Arvixe for just under a week and got round to migrating my sites over at the weekend. Decided on them after reading both the reviews on here and having a quick live-chat with their sales guys. The process so far from pre-sales to setup to the support I've received with any technical queries has been utterly painless. Fast response and turnaround times on support (tickets, live chat and forums all used so far) coupled with tolerance of when I'm being an idiot are especially impressive. The level of control I can have through cPanel and shell access is just what I was after having moved from a host that was becoming increasingly locked down. Gold stars and smiley faces all round.
For reference, I'm on the basic Personal Class hosting for now. May upgrade in the future as my needs change and if this good experience with Arvixe continues.
I have used Arvixe for the past 4 years. They're support team just helped me out again tonight for the millionth time, so I figured I should write a review. I have a virtual host through them and about 6 domain names and supporting domains. They're support team is not only helpful and prompt, but always polite and very helpful. I have never had a problem with Arvixe. I don't write many reviews, but this one I am happy to write. I highly recommend them. I am very happy with their service.

switched from 1and1.com hosting to Arvixe about 5 months now based on review here. Customer support is top notch and very reliable so far for ASP.NET/SQL 2008 web. These people are professional and really know what they are doing. Would recommend to any web designer who wants a reliable ASP.NET hosting.
I have been using Arvixe for years, now, and they are excellent. I've never had a problem with them. I just realized, today, that I should go online and give them a good review somewhere. I highly recommend this company. They've been great.
I have been hosting multiple websites. I tried StartLogic, Godaddy, LunarPages from 2003 to 2007. All of these companies' services at moments became unreliable and slow. Lately in 2007, I shifted to BlueHost, but in late 2010, they suspended my account because CPU issue because as assessed by their own claimed world-class technology. They kept my account suspended for three days, so I decided to shift some of my sites to other hosts. One of my busiest sites, I shifted to a shared hosting plan Linux PersonalClass. I have experienced that people at Arvixe are quite supporting, competent, and quick. Their servers even for my busy website are performing optimally. I hope they will not suspend my account as it was done by BlueHost for their own reasons. Arvixe's support is excellent, quick, competent, friendly. Uptime is good. They are not deceptive as most others whose claims are later found false.
I have tried GoDaddy. com as well as 1and1.com but I found Arvixe web-hosting best of all. I have also don so much time looking for good, reliable web hosting provider with advance technology for future. Most of the other provider's email box/account has some kind of limitation so please beware of those top rated provider with basic setup. You will also file some coupon around for additional discount. You don't have to pay anything for automated backup. No specific skill required and 24x7 support available via chat. Their LIVE support is very quick and agent will get to you in a seconds. I am also using following web hosting.
I've been an Arvixe customer for many years now. I've found their uptime to be excellent, as is their support. Any questions I've had have been answered quickly. They've gone out of their way to help me even when the problem was my own lack of knowledge.
I would not hesitate to recommend them to others looking for shared hosting.
I have only recently joined Arvixe, and did so on the basis that they could offer products which other companies do not offer right out of the box so to speak. I have found everything about the company to be fast, reliable and trustworthy so far and have no complaints. In reply to chad who said that 85% of attempts to contact support go unanswered I can confirm this is untrue.
On the basis of that statement I contacted Arvixe via their live support and within 10secs I was connected to a very supportive staff member. The guy I spoke to was very polite and keen to help in any way he could.
The service itself seems to be faster than other hosts I've used in the past, I've used Hostgator, GoDaddy, Siteground and a load more over the years, and so far none of my websites have run quite as quick as they do with Arvixe.
The price is also pretty impressive and with the added bonus of a free .com domain name for as long as I have my account with them it works out as one of the cheapest on the net.
I migrated from a shared host with another provider to a VPS host with Arvixe after reading some reviews. My experience has been very positive so far, they are professional and helpful and will go out of their way to help with any reasonable request and I can't ask for more than this.
This is my 4th webhost: 2 went bankrupt, one had an outage almost every other day. These guys have been great: virtually no downtime, very responsive to any questions. I would recommend without any reservations.
Arvixe is simply amazing. I have two .com sites currently hosted with them. One is a medium traffic community page and the second is purely business. So far, we've only had two little spots where the site was down (one was their fault, not sure about the second). They had the sites back up in no time.
You get SSH free if you ask nicely. I use it for a tunnel so I can access my site securely and fix problems if they should arise. Big plus!
Support rocks. Emails are answered in a personal way and they actually want to help you. For example, I was playing around with Django and I couldn't figure out if Arvixe supported that framework so I sent an email. Turns out they don't, but the big thing is that it took about half an hour. The guy was very helpful and suggested a different starting place since I didn't want to upgrade to VPS just for that.
Pricing is a bit high for a startup site with little to no value or income. But for the quality of the service, definitely worth it.
I would absolutely recommend this to someone who wants to run a business site.

after struggling for a long with mochahost(worst web hosting and terrible i have ever seen) i shifted to 2gbhosting their support was nice but trust me my asp.net application loads very very slow with them finally i shifted to godaddy.com
huh the speed was good but
1) for support i have to wait hours as they dont provide online support
2) trust me my asp.net application was giving error on every next page as they dont provide full trust permissions.
3) Gmail the real boss of email u cannot use within ur asp.net application to send mails and they said they wont enable also (terrible)
4) the worst and worst thing their built in cpanel it really sucks takes hours to do simple things and continuously log off if u r working also
finally afterwards i found arvixe hosting really i was scared to start as i was having lots of bad experience
i just started with basic plan and trust me i am so happy which i was never with any hosting company there are many benefits with them but few are :
1) the best part online support solves ur probs in minutes.
2) dotNetpanel in ur cpanel simply fast and the best all ur work is done in minutes.
3) trust me my asp.net application runs so fast i even cant believe it works more fast than my localhost with visual studio.
4) google apps and gmail is working absolutely fine.
5) pricing are unbeatable.
they are king in hosting really i hope they maintain their service and position in future also.

Have been very happy with the service! Was hosting on Maddogdomains.com which is a godaddy.com reseller. They have a size limit on their SQL databases of 200mb. Obviously this was not going to work for a web store of any size and the only option was to go to a dedicated servers which costs a LOT! I found arvixe.com which was actually cheaper, had unlimited database size, unlimited storage and bandwidth plus you can host multiple web sites on one account. So I switched and I'm very glad I did! Noticed a considerable increase in speed after switching. Tech support is good and resolved several issues with getting my SQL database moved over from my old host. For $5.00 a month I am hosting 2 very nice websites each with SQL databases plus free domain name registration. I don't think you will find a better deal anywhere.
We've been very happy with Arvixe as a ASP reseller host. They have excellent support, and prices are good. My only complaint is with email hosting for my clients... mainly that almost all emails, specialy if from a blackberry, are tagged [SPAM] and there i now way to stop this. Lost 2 clients because of this problem! Hopefully they will come up with a solution for this!
Recently moved to Arvixe after a nightmarish debacle with another hoster.
Setting up a ASP.NET, MVC site with SQL Server db was a breeze, problem free, and has run that way for the months we have now been with them.
Support has always been good (ie they actually read and answer the questions you ask), and they understand the technology.
Fantastic pricing too. As a professional .net developer I know a lot of other developers and clients, asking about good hosting companies, so Arvixe will benefit as word spreads for going the extra yard.
Very good hosting company so far. There is always a very intelligent person on the other end of live chat who takes care of your needs immediately. Sites are always up and run as fast. No issues with viruses or hackers. 5 out of 5 stars.
For ASP.Net hosting for a reasonable price, it is the best I found after trials with many other hosts. Overall, I have had a very good experience. Tech support is good and very responsive (both chat and email). Performance seems to be good so far as well.
Just a few things to note on the downside: 1) With ASP.Net accounts, users cannot manage their own email passwords - it must be done through the control panel. 2) Only one admin account for all of the domains in your account. 3) The reseller account has a 100MB memory limit on your app pool - if it exceeds that, your app pool is recycled - if your asp.net site does anything at all, it will recycle. I had to move my account to personal (away from reseller) to overcome that problem. 4) I have had downtime and the communication was less than timely. They were honest and responsive to tech support requests, but the did not volunteer information unless asked. 5) The SQL Server databases are SQL Server Express - you won't find that in the marketing information. It works, but performance is not the same as the real deal.
All-in-all, I am happy even with the shortcomings. I would (and do) recommend Arvixe to others.
I have only been with Arvixe for a couple of weeks, but so far they are night and day compared to my last host. I had Godaddy on another website I built and they were okay, but not nearly as convenient or as cheap as Arvixe. I hope the good experience continues. Arvixe is great. A++
Arvixe is the fourth company I've hosted with in the last decade and it will be my last. Their service is wonderful, their packages are priced competitively, and their product is the best I've used thus far. I IMMEDIATELY noticed an improvement in speed when I switch to their servers. I have not seen any downtime since I've been with them, and that's counting the three sites I manage with them. You won't be disappointed.
Arvixe servers were okay when I first signed up. Unfortunately, I have experienced some downtime and the server seems slow. What bothers me most about Arvixe is that it's hard to get someone online on their online chat. You can try to see if you can get someone. So far I've found that about 85% of the time no one is attending it. That means if the server is having problems, it's hard to find anyone to help. Some of their replies also do not seem professional and not helpful. These are the two big negatives about Arvixe. If you wish to try them out, try to contact them on their online chat first... see how long it takes and then imagine if your website has a problem how long would it take for someone to answer you. Also their control panel is really basic. That could be a good thing though so that it doesn't complicate your hosting services. The bad thing is that you have less control. Uptime has been okay, but just the server seems a bit slow. I really hope Arvixe reads this review in hope they can really get their act together and improve. Arvixe does have some potential as a good hosting company but there's a need for a LOT of improvements.

I hosted my site with webhost4life for one year. It was going well, but things has been changed dramatically after they moved my site into new platform. My site was down, connection problem, so my business interrupted for one week! All my technical questions were almost ignored and no good service anymore.
So i was really in big trouble then i searched a new hosting to meet requirements of my website.
My requirement was paying 100-150$/year to get: ASP.NET platform + MS Sql Database (at least 2GB) + at least 20GB space + unlimited mounthly traffic.
I am advised to try arvixe. It is totally able to provide me what i need: by paying 108$/year, it provides: MS Sql Server (unlimited database lol, i need only one)+ unlimited space + unlimited mounthly traffic + kind and quick technical support.

Amazing. Would recomment these guys to anyone. As a small web design company our last hosts caused us no end of grief, but they've been brilliant - easy to set up, paypal payments means that from the UK my payments are easily done, and any isues we've come up with have been solved through the online support chat by people who are always helpful and polite. My last host ought to take a few pages from their book!
We were formerly hosting our site with ix-webhosting and had considerable issues just to get set up. Our website needed reporting capabilities and Arvixe has crystal and SSRS reporting support.
IX-webhosting was not advance in todays technologies Arvixe was, apparently we went with Arivixe after several days of research. We
would recommend our Moms' websites to Arvixe for they are truly the besthosting company we have ever experience. Sure we had some difficulties trying to set up but, the resolutions out weighed the anomalies immensely.
And NO we did not get paid to write this experience. We belive in giving credit to were credit is due good/bad it is just the right thing to do.
After 'playing' around with 4-5 hosts, I must say, Arvixe is the best host so far. Although I would place grandbytes.com ahead of them on all the comparison factors, price did the trick for me.
1. After sales support: somewhere between satisfactory and delight zones. At times, you get a response that is little off the point, but gets you what you want. Still, it is at par with that of grandbytes.
2. Speed: grandbytes is miles ahead on the following - webmail and website loading time. When you click on 'horde' or 'roundcube' when hosted with grandbytes, it takes at least 30 seconds lesser than that on Arvixe. Ditto for website loading time. But I have not experienced any outages while being here at Arvixe. Kudos.
3. Management: I am not a techie, so my needs are limited to few tools - email accounts, renewals and website visitors analysis. I would keep Arvixe at par with grandbytes on this.
4. Price - this is what made me decide in favor of migrating to Arvixe. At a super economy price, I could manage 6 domains on one account. I would have spent at least three times had I continued with Grandbytes.
Verdict: my mind brought me to Arvixe, and while being satisfied here, my heart still lies with grandbytes.
I have been with Arvixe for about 5 months now and it has been a smooth ride thus far! I love that they have live chat available 24/7 and go above and beyond for their customers. I had a few problems when I first signed up (not with them, just with mistakes I made) and they were very willing to help me and explain things to me. I just hope that they don't get so overwhelmed with new customers due to their current customer's satisfaction that their customer support and uptime starts lacking! Crossing my fingers! I have been using Arvixe since Nov. 2009. They have great customer support. I love the prices. The server was down for about 15 minutes one month. That's pretty good up time!
I want to be able to do reselling with them, but their plan is to high for just starting out. I will go with another host for my reseller needs, and maybe switch to them after I have several customers.
On Friday I was ready to move a website I have been working on for the last few months to my local hosting provider - Web Africa - in South Africa who I have been hosting with for about 4 years. My clients site was broken straight away due to WA downgrading their asp.net hosting to a medium trust environment. The majority of the sites we develop require full trust and until now WA supported this.
I spent the entire weekend trying to get the site to work in medium trust to no avail. WA also informed me that their current full trust servers were going to be downgraded to medium trust too (they call it an upgrade) which will result in a lot of existing sites breaking. Time to look for a new hosting provider...
I hunted high and low around South Africa but decent asp.net hosting just does not exist here, so time to move off shore.
I reviewed a lot of USA and European based hosting companies and Arvixe kept popping up. Their helpful online staff helped me make my decision to sign up with them. They are very quick and helpful.
This afternoon my account was active and ready to go. I however purchased a linux account by mistake. It took no more than 5 minutes for Noah to assist me with purchasing a windows account, cancelling the linux account and crediting my windows account with the amount paid for linux. Brilliant.
Within an hour I had my clients website, forums and clickonce installs as well as both databases setup at Arvixe. All worked off the bat except for the main website. This was due to a security setting in IIS. Noah was FAST. He simply gets the job sorted out and things back on track.
So far, I am extremely impressed with these guys. There is nothing that counts more than decent support and Noah goes beyond the call. I really hope the rest of the support team are like this.
What counted highly in Arvixes favour is the support team can actually sort out the problem there and then. I was also hosting with Host Depertment (who's support sucks badly) and Mochohost. Mochahost had pretty good support, but most of the time the online staff have basic knowledge and capabilities. More often than not, you are told to submit a ticket. This adds delays which I don't like. Arvixe simply get you sorted out online while you chat. Brilliant.
Well done guys. South African hosting companies could learn a bit from you guys on pricing, technology and excellent customer service.
At first i was mad when i sign up with them and the sales support guy said that i was a scammer because i sign up for reseller with an ip that is not from Kiribati. It is a US ip address so their server identifies me as a scammer.
Well after clarifying everything Arvand was on one on one with me on the support chat and solved everything for me.
I am very happy with their support and i do recommend them for anyone who looks for the best web hosting provider.

The availability of both live online support and phone support is fine. However, any support questions seems to turn into an arguement. Arvand seems to take it personally if you think there is a server issue. He loves to argue and harangue the customer. This attitude is passed on to the rest of the support staff. He claims to be the owner.
As far as the up-time. It is very good. I have monitoring software for keeping up-time statistics and so far the up-time is unparralled.
I will post a sanitized version(last names and accounts removed) of the last support session I had before I called and wound up arguing with Arvand (for the seond time). He even suggested they did not want to host my accounts any longer. This chat session was after being online for over an hour and following the "samples" provided to convert a working website from CDONTS to CDOSYS. I was originally told that CDONTS was installed and I wasted time attempting to get the original working implementation before contacting support a second time. (This is actually the third chat session)

This is where I called and wound up with Arvand for the second time. Notice the rep. send "Every time" I ended up blaming the server. I only called one other time. When they could not get DSN working for the database. Turned out to be an issue with the 32 bit ODBC connection not liking a 64 bit machine and Arvand had to intervene to make things work.
This time Arvand is "proving" it is a code issue and "not his servers" and if I want anymore help, I "must pay". I don't mind paying if it is truly a coding issue. However, after hours of trying to get a working implementation up and running and then being asked to switch, the support could be a little more helpful.
I looked online for reviews of Arvixe and found only positive reviews which I thought was fishy since it was too good to be true. Anyway, I went ahead and bought a hosting account (I already had a domain with Godaddy). So far the only minor complaint I had was that though I think I selected Windows hosting, I ended up getting Linux hosting - but I contacted their LiveChat service who cancelled the account for me and I was able to then immediately get a Windows account. The other minor thing was that I paid using Google Checkout on a Friday and it took till Monday evening for the payment to go through.
Leaving that apart, things have been great so far - it was easy to setup the site, forward my domain with Godaddy to their nameservers, transfer the files/sql data and so I'm giving it a 5 throughout.

I am a new customer with Arvixe. I have been looking at different hosting solutions, 1 and 1, GoDaddy, etc. I saw a recommendation for Arvixe at CodeProject and DotNet forum. So I checked them out. I uploaded three web sites, and two databases. I had a couple of questions during the initial setup, I received very quick and informative responses from the staff at Arvixe. I am very happy with the performance of my sites there. So for an initial review, I give them 5 out of 5.
I simply can not believe how positive my experience have been with ARVIXE - so far. Reseller setup was way easy (compared to Hsphere). The support chat line was very helpful, most amasingly was that the support person was proactive. I asked the person if they had ASPmail component, the person said "no" but offer to have it installed. Can you believe it? In this industry (hosting) you'd be lucky to get a reply, and if you get a reply, you'd be lucky that the reply is remotely helpful.
I only been with ARVIXE for 2 months, but I have used many reseller hosting services for over 5 years (includig Jodo, EIRCA,Vortech), and usually by this time (the 2nd month) the experiences are all down hill. So I'm waiting for the "shoe to fall" with Arvixe.
I don't usually post anything; nor do I want to share a good thing and have everyone flood their servers. But in this day and age of 3rd rate Tech Support, I just had to tell everyone.
At first i was disappointed on the payment part but they are very prompt in solving it. Overall i am happy with Arvixe. They are customer oriented people and also they know what they do technical wise.

Arvixe is a good and better than the best, according to me. Because we have 6 differenet hosting server account in different companies. Finally we faced one Database driven application in one of server. But we faced a lot of problem with the resources of the server. Timeout errors, server restarting and so on... After uploading the same application in arvixe server, we are cool and tension less. Superb!!!.
According to the support, they are very prompt and giving 100% perfect answers to the customer. If there are any other problem, they will connect to the client machine through logmein account and they will fix it. So I am still very happy with Arvixe Hosting Services.

Arvixe seems to have prospered since I signed on as a user in 2004, but they continue to offer attentive customer support as well as highly reliable services with an occasional reduction in price or increase in benefits. I don\'t know whether the balance of reliability, features, support, and pricing is the best available, because I haven\'t felt like shopping around. Works for me.
Arvixe offer a very competitive Windows hosting package with good customer services. They were extremely patient as I cluelessly asked for various ports to be opened to allow extra functionality on one of my sites. They were not quite so helpful when I needed help setting up an ASP DSNless connection but I\'ll give them the benefit of the doubt on that as I wasnt 100% sure what I was expecting from that. Overall I would recommend.
Love these guys. Only host I\'ve found where the monthly price is actually monthly. Everywhere else say\'s they\'re $5 or $6 per month, but then you have to sign up for a whole year. They\'re support is responsive both on sales and technical issues every time I\'ve used it. I definitely recommend them.

I use arvixe to host a website and simple ftp services for a mid-size company.
They are great - I had some initial troubles setting up / transferring from my old host but customer support was very helpful. They have a live chat feature that\'s very useful for real time problem solving. The support techs know what they are doing and don\'t mind helping you.
The billing process is a little convoluted, but not a big deal - just pay attention to what they are asking you to do.
And for what you get, the prices are fantastic. Lots of companies charge a lot more for a lot less. Def. Recommend.
I have 4 sites hosted with Arvixe. I used to use other hosting parties as well but they proofed to be less reliable than Arvixe.
Up time is (nearly) 100%. I have encountered a few small hick-ups in the last 4 years but in fact I haven\'t encountered any problems during the last year.
Price is good but why I wanted to write this review is because of their support. A week ago Arvixe transferred my account to another server. First of all they informed me very well. But during the transfer I found out that one of my tables in the SQL database wasn\'t restored. Oops no back-up, so I wrote an email and asked them to help me. Within one hour the problem was solved. Someone investigated the problem and found out that I had defined a double key. The new server didn\'t accept this. They changed the script and restored my table. Very good and quick service! Thanks guys!
These guys have been great. The site has only been down a very minimal time over the last several years, it loads fast and the service is impecable. Best host I\'ve had and I have no plans of switching.
Site took a couple of days to get working, but the people were lovely. The live help webchat was a godsend and the site itself has been very cheap and easy to use. Lots of features, and I can afford to pay a year at a go.

I have more than a year expirience using the service and I'm very satisfied. For the little money I have true PHP5/MySQL5 hosting and almost unlimited resources. In addition, I used the opportunity to use Java. Support also works pretty well
The host has been extremely responsive and helpful. Tech support is very accessible. Rarely has the site been down, and we have been notified of planned changes well in advance.

A great hosting site for the basics for development - cpanel, PHP/MySQL, and plenty of space for cheap. Their support is very responsive and willing to work through with you any problems related to your hosting. As with most providers, though, add-ons or more advanced features will cost you. For serious coders, subversion or CVS repositories are not possible unless you get a dedicated server, and like other shared hosting providers you can't fiddle with the server. Recently-ish they have made it possible for only business plans to have parked domains, which means a pricey upgrade if you want to host two of your small personal sites with the same account (parking domains).
Web experience has been somewhat satisfactory. Would like more options for account login page. Printing invoices is complicated. User interface is not intuitive.
Our websites went down for a few hours a month or so ago--during which time I was uploading new pages on the website and making presentations to my Company President. Called Arvixe to find out what happened and was told: "software issues. servers are down. don't know when they'll be back up-maybe a few hours." Service returned a few hours later. Was very embarrassing and inconvenient for my company. Makes me seriously doubt reliability. Thinking of leaving for a better server company.
Over the years, I have had little need to contact Arvixe -- which for my needs is a good thing. I know they are there and they are responsive when I do contact them.

I am not an expert in web design but found the experience of putting up a site to be much less stressful and complicated than I had expected due to Arvixe's ease of operation and responsive and patient customer service and technical assistance staff.
I searched around for a long time and could not find a better package than what I found with Arvixe. Arvixe was by far the cheapest. At that point my only concern was reliability and service. I didn't face big problems during my hosting period,even if there are one it is solved easily and quickly.
The only thing I regret is that the unlimited or multiple domain hosting packages are a little bit expensive
For the price it includes tons of feature you'd expect to pay more for elsewhere. My only gripe is that occasionally the server will be down but they get it up pretty quick.
Arvixe has been an excellent host. Their customer support is superb. I have never had to wait for more than 30 minutes for an email answer, and even phone support has been quick and effective (hey, how many providers even have phone support?). Up-time has always been in the high 90s. Their control panels are easy to use and intuitive, as is their account and billing interface. I am very satisfied with this service and will recommend it to anyone.

I've been very impressed with Arvixe. They offer very good value for money. I have 6+ main domains with multiple others pointing to these, all hosted under the one package. Their support has always been rapid and site down time has been low. I currently recommend them first to my colleagues.
Overall good service reasonalbe packages with fair amout of space... I have an issue in one small area Technical Support almost impossible to get them on the phone and the live chat service is really a hit or miss you never really know when they will be available.
We have used Arvixe for our website for over 3 years, and have not had any bad experiences during that whole time. Our first host was a nightmare...and Arvixe has been a dream to work with. Very stable and reliable hosting provider at very good price. Had to use their customer support just once and that too was quite satisfactory. The only thing I could ask for is some additional customization of features at the same price points.
Arvixe is the only host I use. I have been hosting several websites
with them for almost 2 years now, and I have nothing but positive things to say.
I'm a picky person when it comes to choosing, especially something as important as a host. If the hosting performs well I can pickup new clients, but if it performs poorly, I'm going to hear about it from my clients, sometimes all at once. This reflects on my company image as well.
How did I find Arvixe? That part wasn't so easy, as there are virtually infinite hosting companies. With all the different plans, features and policies it's sometimes hard to compare. I took a deep breath and started a new spreadsheet. I ended up with 21 hosting companies to grind down.
If a host didn't have a feature I needed, that box was colored red - if it did satisfy my requirements it was colored green. After the process of elimation was over, Arvixe was the last standing host, all the boxes colored in green. As a bonus I also got more resources and the plan prices were considerably lower.
I closed Excel and signed up with Arvixe right there. Everything was changed over without incident, and within a couple of days I had settled in to a great new home. As cliche' as it may sound, doing all that research really paid off. I got a reliable host with a generous allowance of resources and a ton of features.
In the time I have been with Arvixe, I haven't had a client come to me and complain. I myself, and all my websites never had a problem. I LOVE Arvixe. They are always on top of the game. The only issues I've ever had have to do with not receiving my discount (which most of the time has been my own fault for wrong html code). When I asked them why, they checked it out each time, got back to me either the same day or following day and not only told me why, but told me how to fix it! They go above and beyond and with that pricing, you would expect A LOT less. I recommend them all the time and would recommend them above any other hosting company I have dealt with.
Arvixe has been a wonderful host. Their support has always been responsive, they don't lock down the server to the point of uselessness (I can do quite a bit through phpshell), and the connection speeds (including ftp) are much better than my previous host (dh2.net). The cpu load from other users is pretty low, and even if the disks look full on cpanel they seem plenty responsive. Their goal seems to be to satisfy customers, not to make it difficult to switch hosting. I am on the php5 plan. Please email me any questions (gatoatigrado at gmai#).
possible downside: I don't think there are nightly backups (at least they don't advertise it). I've never had a problem, but in case you have a security leak (e.g. installing your own phpmyadmin -- I don't know why you would, they keep theirs up to date, but anyway), backing it up yourself is definitely a good idea.
a very minor technical detail - cpanel messes up when downloading backup files, or files over 1gb. I have a 7zip binary that's statically linked so you can use it through phpshell to compress and encrypt the backup file, then download it through the public http which works fine for larger files (my backup is around 600mb); email me if you want it.
I chose arvixe after reading a long thread of their customers bitching about Arvixe service and thought gee I wish I had their problems. I have never been aware of downtime. We had one glitch when changing servers due to a non standard config that I asked for and they supplied both before and after the server change for no cost. If you have the expectation that the provider in this low cost market will do their best then Arvixe is the hoster to choose. Their best tends to surpass expectations
Its been almost a year already and all i can say is that my experience with Arvixe was(and still) great.
though i cant do a review on everything, i'll point out a couple of key reasons i choose a host.
Uptime: I get my uptime reports from siteuptime.com, though i cannot get a full copy of my years uptime report it still says uptime is 100% since 12/1/2003 and before that it was around 98-99%. I can be your proof that you wont ever have to worry about your site going down.
Support: They assisted me until my problem was solved and most of the time they do it for me instantly.
Through e-mail - fast quick and through responses just how i want it to be. Their e-mail is just too damn complete that i dont have to email them about the same problem. Response times are usually within 2 hours.
Prices: Excellent prices for their more-than-enough packages. Go and compare yourself, with the support and uptime, you really can't go wrong with them.
