Brontobytes is an awesome web host. Helpful, great plans, great services, great price.
Service tickets are answered within 30 mins or faster and the guys who I have dealt with have been knowledgeable, informative and helpful in any questions I have posed.
My websites are up and running any time... possibly no downtime or none that I have seen.
The plans they offer are great. Doubt I'll ever be searching for a new web host. |

My first venture into having a website, and I learned the hard way that there are rip-off artists everywhere. The guy who runs this operation sold me a domain name (that he double-billed me for and won't give a refund) but registered it under his own name. I very quickly learned that it was impossible to communicate with him and that I had best cut my losses and bail out, so went with another hoster. BrontoBytes would not point my name to the new nameservers, would not respond to any emails, would not answer the phone (found the number through eNom). eNom could not help me because the domain name was not registered under my name. I ended up having to buy another domain name. Stay away from BrontoBytes. This guy will take your money and give nothing in return if he thinks he can get away with it. The first review of BrontoBytes here is from the guy I'm talking about, so if you discount that review, you will get an accurate assessment of this operation. |

When I first took out a hosting package with Brontobytes they were very good, no complaints.
But the last two months have been a complate nightmare with problems with the POP and then the SMTP server. The customer support has been dreadful and then this month they lost the domain name! Paid for the domain name and as yet we are still waitinhg for this. Have had to change the domain name for my business and move to a different hosting company. Still waiting for further response from them but many open tickets have still not been answered. Terrible service.
I would never take out another package with Brontobytes and I would suggest only take out a package with a company who not only have an on line support but also a contact telephone number. |
