Really great host. Read the other reviews, so I wanted to offer an opinion. I've been with them for, hmm, over two years now. Never had a problem. Phone support can be shaky sometimes, but they always call me right back if I get voicemail. E-mail support is also excellent. Usually less then an hour or two turnaround during working hours. Also have had practically no downtime in the last two years. Great host, and I've been with.. Well, to many ;) |

One day, my burstband hosted website was just gone. I called, but of course got an answering machine. After 3 days, I left voice and email messages asking if BurstBand was going out of business. When I finally got through on the phone, the tech admitted that the server was dropped from the rack, trashing both the primary and backup drives. He also said that a data recovery effort would not be pursued, citing costs. My choices were a blank website and 1 month free, or a refund. I offered to take delivery of one or both of the disks in order to pursue recovery of the data. They refused, citing "privacy issues." Draw you own conclusions. The lesson here is "NEVER TRUST YOUR ISP TO BACK UP OR RECOVER YOUR DATA!!!" |

Phone line goes straight to answering machine. 12-24 hour response time via email. Uptime is literally more like 85% than the 99.xx they advertise. Billing problems. Highly exaggerated, if not false, claims on website. |
