servers rarley goes down.

the 24/7 support is a big lie, the company seems to be run by one person, I usually get ticket response after more than 24 hours.
often problem with DNS.

I cancelled my service with this host because of sub par support and three months after stopping my service they are still billing me $30.00 every month! Every time I contact them to stop the billing cycle they tell me to respond to a ticket but I can’t login to the system because they suspended my login credentials! These guys are criminal in the way they are treating me!

BY FAR THE WORST HOSTING SERVICE I HAVE LOST OVER $2,000 DOLLARS IN PROFITS THIS WEEKEND... SERVER HAS BEEN DOWN SINCE FRIDAY, NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER FROM MIKE THE ONE GUY THAT RUNS THIS HOSTING CO. This one is a keeper, finally! I have not had any down time. When i submit tickets they give me a reply in less than 24 hours. Their prices are great too. I give them 5 out 5.... i have no complaints.

Completely unprofessional I felt like there was a kid behind the computer running this site. The reliability is terrible. Server was down continually making checking my email a struggle. each month it was down at least 4 to 5 times, with no explanation and for hours at times. I contacted the support and it took them two days to get back to me. I let it go and I figured that servers have downtime its a normal thing.. then during a meeting with a client the server went down leaving me embarrased as we were able to surf the net but unable to access the site. on many ocations time sensitive email failed to be delivered or even sent due to the server being down. I had to take fire from my clients all of which noticed the discrepancies... whoever this one guy is because that's all there appears to be no one exept one guy... is extremely INCOMPETENT and irresponsible with his server and with his clients... he is not concientous of the fact that people depend on this for business.... my personal loss for getting this hosting just because it included LPanel ended up being of more than 7,000 dollars and a possible law suit from one of my clients which I will follow with this guy if that happens. I am currently requesting a refund for my money.... If you want someone reliable and professional DON"T get this

I've been happy with datacities. They have pretty decent uptime and my support ticket turnaround is on the order of hours. There have been little glitches here and there but I'm happy overall. I've recommended them to 2 friends and they are happy too. Can't beat the price! I'm pretty knowledgeable and haven't needed much help, so keep that in mind along with my comments.

I've been with DataCities for over 3 years and over all the service has been marginal at best.
Price of hosting – Very competitive
Up time – Many times I was down for extended periods
Support – Extremely lacking. Your interface with technical support is via a web form. It has taken very long typically in the past to get any response.

My plan was just automatically renewed from last year with a 40 percent increase (unbeknownst to me). I did not receive any additional space or data transfer. I have since canceled my service with them. I opened a ticket to have my account closed, 3 weeks after the renewal, and was asking for my money to be refunded. I was told I would not get a refund because their 30-day money back guarantee only applies to new accounts. I found the phone number for DataCities by looking on my credit card statement. I called and talked to Michael Cruz and he told me that the best he could do was to refund half the amount for the year. He also offered to charge me what they had charged the previous year. I declined because I moved over to IX Web Hosting. The last thing Michael told me was that I could contest the charge if I wanted to. I am.

I purchased a reseller account through Datacities a couple years - just recently switched to a new service. I have dealt with a lot of web hosting companies over the years - some good, some bad, some really bad. Where does Datacities rank? Well, here is what buyers should consider if they are going to host with this company:

1) Price: Very competitively priced. You'll be hard pressed to find anything lower for a web hosting reseller account.
2) Uptime: Good. Rarely had any major downtime issues.
3) Pre-sale Support: Good. If you are interested in purchasing something from them, you will definitely get a response in a reasonable time frame.
4) Support/Technical/Customer Service: This is the only (major) issue I've had with them. If you are looking for a timely response to your question - good luck. There's been times where I didn't hear back from them in weeks; often times my questions were ignored entirely. Very frustrating. But don’t just take my word for it - go to their forums, read their customer complaints for yourself. It seems to be a larger issue, not just a few exceptions.

So, in summary, if you are looking for a low price web hosting package, and you don't need much hand holding, this company would probably work fine. If you anticipate needing help at some point with setup, installations, etc., you might want to consider a company that has a better track record in this department.

My site has been down for more than 24 hours. Datacities advertizes 24/7 support but they have not responded to the ticket I entered or any of the follow-up responses and emails I have sent.

Biggest gripe is that they do not publish a phone number to call.

Have been with Datacities for a very long time and Lpanel since the beginning (sister company www.lpanel.net). Generally very positive, like all webhosts there is downtime, but they always provide good feedback and support regarding it and explain what happened in simple and easy to understand terms.

One service which I find especially useful is the free Lpanel liscence, Lpanel is a webhosting/billing admin software that is related to Datacities and makes reselling webhosting very easy. It is well worth a try (take a look at the demo, http://www.lpanel.net/demo.php) and getting it for free when you sign up for Datacities is a very nice extra.

Pricing is good, fair and some of the lowest prices I've seen. Deserves 5 out 5. Customer Support has generally been very good, occasional delay and lack of phone number makes it a 4 out of 5 and Reliability has been as good as I would expect from any webhost, so 4 out of 5.

Well worth a try.

I sell Christmas products. My site has been down for 3 days. I keep writing to them and they've not solved the problem. Now I can't even get into the client logon to check my trouble tickets. They have everything screwed up and have not fixed the problem in 3 days. My website is down and I'm losing business right here at Christmas.

They have some quite good packages, the only one. From what I hear its a good host for files and such, but not if you plan on running a large forum or something of the sort. Overall I would say.
Uptime: 5/10 - could use alot of improvement
Support: 9.5/10 - answered questions the same day and almost always fixed every problem I had
Plans: 9.5/10 - Great value for your money, if you don't have a forum and simply need to store files I think this host would be best.
Overall I like the Support Team butb they could do better with the Uptimes and Errors Occuring.
So Basically I would say its a good host for storing files, not the best for running a large site on.
