Of late, this provider has gone downhill at a rate that is beyond belief. Tickets being ignored. If they are responding, they are terse one-line responses with no courtesy or respect. They've been great until they "scaled back" their support staff. Now they simply ignore tickets and my site has been down for 2 weeks with no sign of it coming back up and no number I can call to lodge a complaint. Absolutely disgraceful. Avoid like a dose of the clap. I'm switching to another provider ASAP.
Lately my experience with Digitalibiz has been horrible. They've cut way back on their tech support department, and on occasion don't respond to support tickets. Which I've needed to enter a lot of lately. Once the had all my websites (about 40) down for almost two weeks! Lately they've screwed up the settings for the mail server so that no forms that send emails work through the websites. That issue has been going on for two weeks and they don't seem to have anyone qualified to fix the issue.
When I first signed up (Fall of '06), I had email issues right away. Those were fixed within a few hours. I have had a few times over the last year with down time but it only lasts a couple hours each time. The website did go down for a couple hours one morning about a month ago. Other then that, I've never had issues with the website. Whenever I submit a ticket, it is taken care of right away. So I am happy with these guys.
I am a developer that does web sites for Clients. I have had my own account with DigitaliBiz for about 8 months, no problems. Based on positive reviews and pretty good experience with my site, I signed up a client whose previous web hosting contract was expiring.
I have had nothing but problems with the sql server 2000 database, which was set up on a different server than the ones on my own account. I couldn't connect to it with Enterprise Manager, nor even log in to it with their provided online database maintenance tool.
I logged a Medium trouble ticket since at the time there was still 5 weeks until my client's subscription expired. I received one email saying they were having problems with a firewall. 2 1/2 weeks later after several emails I sent inquiring about status, I get an email saying "Try again". It didn't work, I replied, and I haven't heard from them since, despite my attempts to escalate the issue. We had to renew my client's old web hosting subscription.
Now I am attempting to get a refund and running into their 30 day policy, even though I had the original ticket opened 4 days after we signed up.
Another piece of irony? Right now, even as I am typing this review, the entire DigitaliBiz system is down. No ping response from any servers, including their main website.
I am very pleased with this service. The package is complete, support questions are answered within a reasonable time.
The only thing, ASP.NET developers have to keep in mind applications are running in Medium Trust mode, this means that NO external services can be used (webservices, whois calls etc...).
I've been a long time customer of DIGITALiBiz and even their original free service DigitalRice. With the exception of a few confusing circumstances with the support tracking system and some more complicated hosting features, I've had an absolutely excellent experience with them.
They have wonderful features coupled with very cheap hosting packages and the HELM management system and SmarterMail webmail access are amazingly rich and intuitive interfaces. The application packs they now support also help facilitate almost effortless setup of great commonly used web based applications.
So far I have been very pleased with this hosting site. I have not had any major problems. The minor problems i have had are resolved in a reasonable amount of time.
First rate provider.

Did quite a bit research as needed a reasonable amount of webspace for pictures and Digitalibiz have good solid reviews, provide a fantastic value for money service amd their support can't be faulted on the query I have put through in the first day I have had the account.

I only use email. They have a very reliable and up to date offering. I am very satisfied with the service as well as their pricing. They have excellent Customer Service and technical support who response to queries promptly.
I have been with this company for a little over three years. In that time there have been a few down times but mostly everything goes well. Whenever I have had a problem, I have found the sales or technical support team to be responsive, even during their move to a new location this fall which caused some problems. Overall, I am satisfied with the service and pricing and have hosted more sites with this company. I find that along with the good service I have received, the user interface is very simple to navigate and maintain. A great company and a pleasure to do business with!

I would definitely prescribe this host. I have had no downtime and their support is very good. Their support is good and their package is good and the price is very reasonable.
These guys are great. They upgrade features and lower prices! The customer support is terriffic. Every time I need something (and it is not too often) they are Johnny on the spot and get me a good answer.
I've been using digitalibiz for some time now and although they've had quite a few downtimes, I really appreciate their customer support. It's fast and reliable. Of course mine is only a personal site. But all their services are good enough for me. Cheap, reliable and friendly.
I'd recommend them to friends. In fact I already have!
I've been with them for about a year now and I must say that in the last month it has improved 500%. I was close to cancelling but they've change everything. Their support is very responsive now. Before it would take me days to get an answer but now I get one within hours, even minutes. I'm going to stick with them a while longer to see if it stays this way but I'm a happy camper now.
I have never been in a business relationship with a company that so completely ignores its coustomers. The support division of this company is atrocious. Email after email to the support divison goes unanswered. I am going into two weeks of not being able to access my site, which due to the nature of my business costs me money on a daily basis. They have repeatedly been advised of my circumstances and my inquires go on unresolved with no response.
I have tried calling them at their office in maryland. I get a recording that says it will transfer me, puts me on hold and then another recording comes on and says voice mail not working---Imagine that.
I have been with Digitalibiz since November 2004. Back then, they were perfect. Cheap. Reliable. And had a very good config/management facility. Site access was amazingly slow but I wasn't really bothered as I only used it for my personal website.
Since early this year, I've created a new website for a martial arts club. And since then, the downtimes were furious. The servers have been really slow too.
And starting this month (september 06), downtime is almost every day. No access to emails. No ftp. No website!!!
Customer services is non-existent. This is bad for business.
I'm pulling out my website before my martial arts instructor beats me up to death. And moving on to another host.
This is just not worth it. Daily downtime (yes, I'm not exagerrating... its been so for the past week... there's always a downtime.. at least 1 hour a day) is NOT ACCEPTABLE. I've hosted a third website at another provider now.
So... fck digitalibiz. (please excuse my french) - ps. am pulling out my current sites with digitalibiz now to a more reliable host. even if my subscription hasn't expired yet (think i still have 1 or 2 years of paid subscription to go. crap, aint it?)
I used to be thrilled with Digitalibiz, but lately, not so much. They've become extremely unresponsive with customer support issues, probably because so many are generated. Parts of the system, from their email servers to their SQL servers to anything else imaginable is always down.
I've submitted issues and they consistently blame other email providers, even extremely reliable ones like GMail and Hotmail, even claiming that BOTH these services must have the same problem at the same time, rather than accepting responsibility.
They've left issues open, or fixed them without notification, so I never know they're fixed except finding out by trial-and-error.
They have a site page dedicated to "System Status," which unhelpfully always says that all systems are up and running, which, especially lately, is far, FAR from the truth.
Unless their customer service changes in the next few months, when my prepaid service time expires, I'm moving on and not looking back.
If you're looking to sign up with a new host, you might pay a little more, but it's worth it for reliable, responsive service.
I have been using DigitalIbiz for quite some time now and was very happy. Until recently. Lately they have been extremely unresponsive to my problems with my email and have not worked very hard on solving my problems.
Basically they upgraded their email system and my account was locked out. As a lot my business is depending on the email, when my email is locked out it can hurt potential enrollment of new students.
I have been extremely patient with digitalibiz and they don't respond. My email has been down for over 2 weeks at a time and then when they get it working they don't even tell me.
I don't know what happened but their tech support is terrible and overall makes this a terrible web hosting company.
Over the last 3 years we have been hosting 4 websites with DigitaliBiz on 3 different account: the largest Reseller, the largest Shared and the smallest Shared.
We've had the following issues:
-size of email boxes was reset to default 100mb without warning and we lost several important emails with databases from our clients
-IIS on the largest Reseller acount keeps recycling every 10-30 seconds so users have to re-login again and again (still not fixed)
-FTP connection speed now is ~9 kb/sec - we can't download (for a backup) files larger that 1mb - we are getting server timeout errors
Tech support respond in average in~ 12-36 hours
Problem fixing may take several days/many emails and a lot of efforts to proove them that the problem exists... or it may take years
In general, if you have a very basic personal website - go ahead - prices are good
This is a great host, with great features and a great web-based interface for customizing and changing options. They have great cusotomer service and reliablity. I have two websites hosted with them and they provide a great bang for your buck.
