The panel is easy to use but their server is that slow it is too frustrating to work on. The panel all too often mis-reads and throws an error: not a valid Nameserver. I have no trouble with my domains at Go Daddy, I am moving all over there to GD! |

Absolutely horrendous. They don't have a control panel of any type, they give you and FTP account and send you on your merry way. When I used it they didnt have any billing system set up, nor was there automatic billing. I've been "flagged" because of there lack of organization. My first week using them, the site was down for two weeks with NO notice at all. They said they were updating, but didnt bother to tell anyone. They were constantly down.
I wouldnt waste my time with domainsite ever again. |

Horrible Horrible company. I first started using DomainSite hosting about four months ago, and originally signed up because they're pricing was cheap. My experience howevere was not worth the price. The first time I signed up, they said you need an FTP program, and suggested using a free program that could be downloaded from another site, I was fine with that and went to the other site they recommended, turns out that that site no longer had the FTP program for free, and you had to pay to download it. So I looked elsewhere, It was almost impossible to find this program for free as they said could "oh-so easibly" be done. So I ended up having to not only pay for a domain name and hosting, but I had to purchase this FTP program as well.
Then, about two weeks into my hosting, my site goes down for about three more weeks with no explanation why, there was no notice on there site, no emails to warn people about this downtime or anything, I lost a huge profit because of this, I contacted the company, and they basically said "Oh, we're fixing some things with our program, it'll comeback soon..." They could have had the deceny to WARN their users about this before doing that.
After that there was CONSTANT downtime, with atleast a 80% rate of downtime. Again, no explanations.
Later, There was MORE downtime (big surprise) they said they were upgrading (I had to email them and ask what was going on again, for they don't seem to feel the need to tell people in advanced on their site of future problems..)their ftp program system, they said it would be back up in one week.... it took over a month.
On top of that, they don't have private ftp accounts, and the only way to get a sub-domain for your site is to contact them each and everytime, but not before they screw the spelling up of the subdomain each time.
After their little ftp upgrade, they contacted me and said I haven't paid... And that they tried charging my credit card (without my permission, I was on a month to month deal) and never billed me or contacted me even once about payment, Like I'm supposed to sit around all day and ponder whether its payment time... That's the joy of bills, they tell you when to pay, and how.
Oh, wait, did I mention that if you try to transfer a .htcaccess page to their site, your site will freeze until you contact them to fix it?
Domainsite is a complete waste of time and money, they aren't worth the hassel at all, and I 100% recommend Ace Net as your choice. |
