I'm not happy with this hosting, because the server has memory limits and it's impossible to import a wordpress database of more than 300 entries. When you contact technical support for solving this issues, they don't know how to solve it and they tell things to test, but nothing works. Too expensive for the service they give.
I registered with Downtown host in 2006 and since then, I am a happy camper.
Their support response time is superb and great customer service. Their staff are very polite sauvy. There has never been a single request that I have made and is left unanswered. The service is very reliable. I have only had a couple of issues when the servers went down but since they fixed those problems, there has never been any issues regarding reliability. I am on shared hosting plan and have several sites running and all run just fine.
I've had them for over 4 years now, and they have been a very reliable host. They have extraordinary customer support, as they always respond with an hour, and are very professional in their communication.
Pricing is very reasonable, especially on long-term plans, and they are very reliable.
On a few occasions, the server has been very slow in responding, even during daytime hours, or not reachable. Also, the server response time is a little slow as the server my site is on is located in Argentina.
But yes, I'm very happy with having my sites hosted here.
I switched to DTH last year. I read a lot of good things about them from the forums on WebHostingTalk.
I host a few websites with them - and I have not had any problems with them. Their server uptime is great, customer support is pretty good, and prices are reasonable.
I've used several hosts in the past and Downtown Host has exceeded my expectations!
We have had Downtown Host all summer now and I have had zero problems with them hosting our website. We got a 1 year package so there have been no billing concerns either. At this time I plan to renew our yearly term when it comes due.

We´ve been hosting all of our clients sites in Downtownhost for more than 3 years, and it´s allways been a pleasure to work with them.
The way they deal with problems is just excellent, there´s allways someone ready to solve your problems within minutes.
We switched to DTH about 1.5 years ago. Brought along few more websites in the process. Could not be happier. Reliability, pricing and performance are the best we've seen in 10 years of hosting with other companies before that. The very few times we had questions, technical support has been very prompt in responding and always looking into and understanding the problem, not just bouncing back canned replies as many other companies do. If things stay as they are now I do not see a reason to even consider moving out. Thank you for the great service Downtown Host!
After a year, I am even more pleased than I was after 6 months.
In 12 months, I have had only had two occasions to seek support, and in both cases I was amazed at the speed, the friendliness, and the value of the help provided.
Their customer service is helpful and quick. AS a matter of fact, it's some of the best service I've encountered from providers.
I've been using the blog hosting service myself, and would certainly recommend this provider to anyone who is looking for reasonably priced hosting. Cpanel is absolutely a must have for people who don't want headaches when upgrading their blog software!
I started using them from some months. I would have to say that the customer support is unbeatable. The uptime is almost 100% and there were no issues that I had with other hosts in past.
The best host I have ever found. Friendly staff that actually know you and your sites and care, not just an operater in a busy building. Site speed/FTP/cpanel are all great and fast. Prices are perfect.
I have to say downtownhost is the best host I've ever had. I really had some doubts about choosing a host. After searching around the internet and receiver a lot of recommendations, I decided to go for downtownhost. And now that Idid, I recommend it to everyone else out there. My site has been up from the very beginning, never had any problems. I run a forum on it and I didn't expect a host to be that fast. The forum is running very smooth, and the bandwitdh is much for such a cheap price.
If I wen't to any other host I should've paid 5 times more than I do currently

Great service at a great price - what else can you ask for. I haven't had to use technical service but everything else has worked as advertised. Downtown Host has every feature you could want, I heartily recommend them.
I switched to Bluehost because the cost. I had a lot of problemas with them and the bandwidth exceeded issue. I talked to downtown hosting's tech support about it and they told me that it was not an issue with them. I looked into Joomla forums for my systems and downtown hosting was recommended very well and after trying one month and having some issues for configuration of my website and the way they responded, I kept my website there and it has been without any problems and the guys in support have helped even with simple questions.
My first search for a host was overwhelming in terms of choice and trying to filter the genuine reviews from the rest. I initially chose hostgator and after billing issues and unhelpful support went looking elsewhere. I found a website that had decent reviews (I don't remember the site now sorry) and DTH received many good reports. So I signed up for 1 month to test the waters.
I initially used DTH's support staff who migrated my site and assisted me with an issue that popped up early on. The support I received was excellent and very friendly. I have been using DTH since (almost 2 years)
I am due for renewal shortly and will be staying with DTH. Their speed and uptime has been great so I have no reason to change.
If you are uncertain (like I was) definately give them a try.
Downtownhost has been a fantastic service provider for hosting our site. Any requests I have had over the past year have been handled very quickly and I have been very satisfied with their service. Compared to other hosts I have worked with, they are above and beyond the value of other hosts, especially with their customer service.
Overall I\'ve had a great experience with DowntownHost. Once in a while a server goes down, but it\'s usually back up very quickly. Customer service is the best. Live chat is usually up an running and help tickets get answered sometimes within a few minutes of placing them. I really can\'t complain, especially for the great price I\'m paying per month. I\'ve recommended them to a few of my friends.
They are a little pricy for the low-cost hosting market (as opposed to high-end commerce outfits like Rackspace) but I\'ve found them well worth the trouble. They are comparable to HostingMatters in terms of quality of the hosting service, but perhaps a trifle less reliable. On the other hand, DownTownHost is much more willing to work with site owners regarding stuff like PHP and appache settings. That\'s probably the cause of some of the technical problems, come to think of it, but I don\'t worry about it: It doesn\'t matter how reliable your hosting service is if they won\'t let you build the site you want to build. DownTownHost has terrific online customer service, and they let me build the site I want to build.
I was searching for a reliable web hosting for my blog and some new proyects. DownTownHost offers all I need and a very good customer support (also in Spanish, it\'s a plus for me!). After a month with DTH I have no issues and everything is going in the right way.
My website disappears the second a bill doesn\'t get paid. So if there\'s a problem with my card, instead of notifying me, they give the domain to a cheesy internet seller. I keep meaning to switch and this is the year I will get rid of them for good. Not recommended.
Excellent quality (continuity) of service - and very quick responses to any questions/concerns. I was aware of only 5 minutes downtime (if that) in the first 6 months. The price is more than reasonable. I am very happy to recommend downtownhost.
Every support request I have submitted has been resolved quickly (most within an hour) even at 2 am. The patience of their staff with people like me who need lots of guidance is much appreciated. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a courteous and reliable web host provider.
I've been with them for almost a year. Customer support is excellent. I do wonder, though, if Sebastian and Diego ever sleep. It seems as if they are always responding to support requests, whether it be early in the morning or quite late at night. This is a true sign of dedication.

the only thing I wish they would change (and the reason I gave them 4 out of 5 stars for pricing) is because their payment procedures is kind of strange. I have to transfer money to my account and then go through a second step to actually pay the invoice. I wish I could just PAY and be done with it. I don't understand why they do this - it seems tedious. But this is so minor compared to their reliability and customer service that it's worth overlooking when searching for a domain provider.
Highly recommended host. The only host I've ever renewed my services with! Good prices, great uptime, and amazing support. I have been with them a while now and I am more then impressed with the support as well as with the service it self.
For a while I had a program watching to see if any down time accored and it never reported any to me so I set it to only show me if it went down eveyr 1/2 hour and still not reports.
4 weeks ago I started a ping to my site and just yesterday closed it and to my surprise there was no loss what so ever.
I will mention thier support is amazing, they are always helpful and some times go above and beyond what I first asked for which most hosts will not do.
They seem to go out of thier to make me happy.
I used to only have a few of my sites hosted with them and the rest on bluehost now I have all of them on downtownhost and I am so impressed its great.
In my opinion There is not better host then downtownhost, with the same price I mean. I have been with many hosts too and had several really bad experiences but down town host makes me feel as if I am a welcomed customer or even a real person.
There is no way I would go any where else!!
They also recently added round cube to the web mail system and it is nice.
