Equivity is the abosute worst host!!!!! STAY AWAY from them. There server goes down all the time and they are the rudest support I have ever seen in my life, it is quite amazing. They blame you for the problems they were cases were they stated that we do not want to help you any more. They are a VERY RISKY and unprofessional host probably a couple of teenagers with some servers in their florida basement.
Do not go near these guy(s). As a reseller they have almost put me out of business. My clients sites were down more than they were up, so I decided to get a VPS from them, same problem.
The last straw was when they forced me onto a new server while I was on vacation (and they knew it), they shut down the old server too early before my nameserver ips had propagated and it resulted in 4 days of downtime for all of my clients.
Luckily enough, most of my clients have been with me since '97 and I only lost one, but I'm not sticking around with these idiots.
They are rude and inexperienced. They DO NOT understand the customer/business relationship at all.
The site is totally unreliable. We have at least on user a week unable to use access their email. Their customer support is awful. There is no phone line to call, and they are very slow to respond. You are much better off using Yahoo or hotmail.
Equivity claims a 99.9% uptime, which is an absolute lie...the server is ALWAYS DOWN. Equivity even takes your site down and then extorts money from you by making you pay extra service fees so that you can have your website up and running again. EQUIVITY IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM!!!
I was looking for a good, experienced Click Cart Pro host and Equivity came recommended from the CCP website. I have been extrememly happy with their pricing and automated tools and service. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that their support is email only. No a bad thing as they respond fairly quickly. I have been used to Interland (a much bigger company) who has 24/7 tech support by phone. I've had to use it to save my (and my clients' ars) a few times, normally because a server or email server has gone down. At least with Equivity the customer service / tech support may not be on the same level, but I haven't, in 4 months, had to use them! Thier 'intro' pricing, which I think is permanent, is very competitive, especially considering their expertise and support of ecommerce aps, SSL certs etc. Recommended.
