Aside from the fact that I think the customer should get a little more space and bandwidth considering what they're expected to pay, especially when compared to say Dreamhost, I am loyal to this company.
I've never experienced downtime, and there is support via AIM on practically 24/7. They have always helped me and they give perks to long-time customers.
I will pay whatever price for this company because they have proven to be an amazing service.
I had a reseller account with frozen for about 12 months. During that time Steve was very helpful and quick to respond to support via chat. He answered ALL (read "a lot") questions and seemed like he had time for me and I did not feel rushed at all. Site speed was overall great!
I noticed down time was starting to become an issue frequently toward the end of my run with frozen. When asked about it, Steve said it was due to high resources during backups. This was a nightly thing that would last an hour or so. I know because I had a site uptime monitor that would email me when my site was not available and when it would come back.
I give Steve a lot of credit though, because he saw his quality of service dropping with the resellers and did a great thing by moving them to another, more reliable, reseller host, which honored the prices from frozen. This in itself says a lot. And that's a good thing.
I don't know how the regular hosting is at this point so i can not comment on that, only the time I spent with them as a reseller.
I've almost had my webspace for a year and I've never really had any problems with frozenwebhost, they've only had downtime twice that I have noticed. Steve is reliable and friendly and I have no qualms about going another year with them.
To expand on consumer complaints about downtime - yes, they did have an issue when trying to upgrade/transfer their servers in November 2006 and did experience downtime. But if someone can show me a host that has never had any downtime, please do - so far, I have never encountered one. And let me tell you - that is the ONLY time I have had any issues with them at all, and they handled it more gracefully than any other host I have been with - sending out apologies, warnings, and a free month of hosting. Whats more, Steve (the owner) has helped me a number of times with special server permissions requests, and has always responded pretty much right away - no waiting. This is a small company, with good, old-fashioned customer service. You really can't find that anymore. I have been through hosts that have taken DAYS to respond - so this is a big plus for me. I can sing nothing but praise for this host. Seriously - none are perfect - they will all make mistakes - so in my opinion, the value is in how well they handle them, and how much effort they put into preventing them.
Although the price was appealing, the amount of downtime was simply unacceptable. I used FrozenWebHost for four months (7/2006 to 11/2006).
During the first week, they transferred my account to a new server. It was several days before things were running correctly and all my webmail settings were lost.
During the following months there were several occasions where I could not access my account for extended periods (more than 6 hours). I wasn't too upset about these because things were working the next morning.
During the last 10 days of my service there were TWO outages that lasted MORE THAN 24 HOURS (11/2/2006, 11/9/2006) These were due to some sort of vulnerability caused by another customer's account (or so they say). I was told several times during the 24 hour periods that my site would be up and running shortly and that they just needed to restore accounts from backups. All said and done the data restored was almost a week old (second restore dated back to 11/1/2006) and since I use Webmail, I lost all email during that period and any email that should have come in during the 24 hour down time. I also had to contact them several times just to get their webmail program running again.
The only saving grace of this company is their swift response to support issues. I commend them on keeping their customers in the loop, but they need to devise a better backup and disaster recovery plan that doesn't involve downtime measured in days. Since my data and email is far more important than customer service response time, I am moving to another host.
Frozen Webhost is simply the best hosting company out there. I can't tell you how good the customer service is... it's just incredible. The price is great and everyhting is perfect. By far the best hosting company I have used: ever.
Wonderful host. The prices are outstanding, my hosting was set up immediatly and accounts transferred almost as soon as I gave word. The support is outstanding, and Steve is available almost all of the time. I would definatly reccomend Frozen to my friends, and I was actually referred by a friend of mine.
I thought all was going well when I suddenly experienced over two days of downtime during second week of august. Since I was very upset of the situation and way it was handled, I switched hosts; however, they do have reasonable prices, but there is definite room for improvement as this is a new company.
I have recently started my hosting with frozen the support is great and the speed of my downloads our great I had alittle problem with server but they refunded me a full month for only a little down time witch I think is great. If you need a excellent host frozen web host is the one you want.
I gave FrozenWeb a shot simply because of the price, the fact you don't have to prepay a year in advance, and the free teamspeak server. But what REALLY makes FrozenWeb the best company I've dealt with is the Customer Support.
Steve is the epitome of customer service. He gives you various alternatives to contacting him and he is always helpful when you have questions. I haven't had issues with the site that Steve couldn't help correct immediately.
I was looking for a web hosting company to host my start-up company's website. There were three things I was looking for:
1) Great price
2) Great service
3) variety of tools (web development, webmail, website analysis, etc)
Frozenwebhost.com (FW) fit my needs perfectly.
First the price cannot be beat... literally.
Second... I love being able to IM FW and have all my questions answered and answered clearly. The owner knows I am new to this and understands that I am intimidated by webhosting and has worked with me accordingly. I cannot feel more at ease about choosing FW.
Third... I have not used any of the tools provided, but they have them and that is what matters to me right now. I am excited to start learning.
To sum this up.... I highly recommend Frozenwebhost. If all things were equal like the tools and the price, there is NO OTHER company that can match the customer service.
From the second I first contacted Frozen Webhost's support staff for help with one of their packages, I could tell this host was a keeper. Their support staff were so kind, and even transfered my existing reseller at no charge.
It's too soon for me to fully rate everything having to do with FWH, but I can already see great things!
Great host! Been a customer since Nov.2005. There was a short time that lasted for a few hours as the hard drive was being replaced due to failure. Over all I am very pleased with the support I have recieved. Any questions I have ever asked are answered very quickly and professially. I would highly recommend FrozenWebHost to anyone who is looking for a webhost THAT KNOWS WHAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS!!!

Although Frozen Webhost is the only host i have ever needed to use, they still provide top quality hosting.
Firstly, their prices are extremely competitive, but also their staff are extremely helpful. Over the past months, whenever i have had problems, I just talk over MSN to the support staff, and they have immediately fixed my problems.
Finally, their servers have been close to perfect in terms of reliability (with only a slight problem on the first day only).
All in all, Frozen Webhost is great and i am definitely going to spread the word about them. Thanks Steve and Frozen Webhost for hosting my site!!!
I just registered with frozenwebhosts and have very little experience with webhosting in general. I added their customer service guy to my msn and he walked me through everything i needed to move my band's website to his hosting service. He was extremely helpful, knowledgable and courteous. A true "customer service expert". Though it is not really fair for me to say the reliability is good since i just registered, but I can say that the customer service was fantastic and the prices were the best i could find for my needs. Though i don't know what my outlook will be down the road, I'm confident that they will meet my expectations (since all the reviews i've seen have said they are very reliable, and for that I highly recommend frozenwebhosts.
I've been with frozenwebhost for about a year now and am very impressed with the service, I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of cheap and reliable webhosting. I have a clan sight, a Teamspeak 2 Server, a file server and email accounts with Frozen and the very few times we have had down time Steve has been right there the whole time earning one very satisfied customer.

I must say that ever since I started using Frozen Webhost back in January, everything has been running smoothly. My website has been up and running consistantly with very little down-time, and the customer support is definitely top notch and is always there for you.
Overall, an outstanding and reliable web hosting service.
While looking for a host I found Steve and Frozen WebHost and since we
have a small site and low traffic I just couldn't pass up the price.
And as the business grows we have plenty of room to grow on the server.
Technical help was fast and courteous and the site was up in minutes.
The team also cleaned up some poor HTML coding done by another host that
charged more than 10 times the amount we pay now.I definately recommend
Frozen for all web hosting needs.
When looking for a webhost, Frozen Webhost got my attention. For only
$5 a month you can get 10GB of bandwidth, 1GB of space and even a Teamspeak server ideal for gaming. I questioned. Does this have good customer support? Downtimes? I decided to go ahead and try it. What I received was great! The best customer support and hardly any downtimes.
4 months later, I upgraded to the Gold package and the customer support is better than ever. I defanitly recommend this host to everyone.
I was referred to FWH by a friend and ever since I've used it I've gotten FULL support from Steve. I too knew NOTHING about webdesign and websites until I got my hosting 4 months ago. Now I know a lot more. FWH has given me links to useful and helpful ftp programs, to more efficiently use my ftp access, and if my site is in a bind, Steve is quick to fix the problem.
I've refered countless friends to FWH for blogs/portfolios and Clan Sites. I'm running a Halo 2 clan which will soon be buying more hosting for a clan site.

I have been a customer of Frozen Webhost for Almost a year now. I personally know nothing about web design, or how to make web sites , I just rented the web space but I had No idea what to do with it.
So I messaged someone on their Technical support team , and got a reply instantly . He was very nice and helpful my website was up within an hour from the time I purchased it. He even showed me a set of pre made templates for the site and let me choose which one was best for me.

Excellent service from Steve and FrozenWebHost. We've always been kept updated and had hourly reports from FrozenWH when we had a short period of downtime last week. We were rewarded with a doubled bandwidth quota for our patience during the downtime and at no charge too.
I can say for definate that I'll be sticking with Frozen WebHost and will always recommend it to friends in need of excellent value hosting.
