No idea how good their technical support is, as I have never needed to use it!
Very impressive, just hope they can maintain this quality of service in the future. |

We used Host Monster to host our company website americanlaboratorytrading.com and they have been great. Their technical support is quick and they keep it up constantly. We've had numerous people perform jobs on the site and everyone has had exceptionally smooth access to the site. I would definitely recommend these guys to others (and have!) |

After dealing with another "Cheap" hosting company I was a bit nervous to go with Hostmonster. The one thing that sold me was the ability to call and speak to a live person any time I needed. I have used this a few times and the help has been fantastic. A few of the sites I hosted were hacked, this happens, but they were very helpful in making some changes to help prevent this from happening again.
My old hosting company delt with emails when you had an issue. That did not work well, their tech support always reported that the issue was resolved yet the problem was still there. It took 3 tickets to resolve the average issue. Hostmonster is not that way, the phone calls work best and if you have to wait, a voice tells you where you sit in the queue and how many calls are in front of you.

The price is great! The speed is great! Nothing but good experiences so far.
The tech support needs to lighten up on their Geekiness as not everybody is a rocket scientist. And they need to be a little more descriptive in their correspondence.
Above all, very happy I used Web Hosting Jury to help choose a host for my site.

I don't have the time right now to write a full-scale review, but I pretty well much agree with everything the previous reviewer wrote. All I can add is that I had several requests (tickets) for them over the past 6 months, and they replied/enabled/fixed each of my requests almost instantly.
If you want great service, great features, at a very reasonable price, go with their two-year plan! |

I recently left a very poor hosting provider for 7 years (reviewed on Hostonce's review page) and was nervous about trying a new host that had low prices, thinking that you get what you pay for.
I am sad to say that there are no reviews yet for Host Monster upon writing this, so I hope to be the first. I have been a Happy Host Monster customer for about 3 or 4 months now.
-- CUSTOMER SUPPORT: 5/5
My initial impression was very good. Before I had even signed up as a customer I tried their Live-Chat feature to get a few questions answered. Since I was already a bit skeptical of finding a new host that was both affordable and reliable and could support the functionality that I needed, finding out these questions fast was a necessity. I was able to get all of my questions answered very quickly. In addition, now that I am a customer I've used this feature twice and both times was able to get a straight answer and a prompt fix (Note: both times where I had an issue that needed to be fixed, it was a problem that I created unknowingly and they were able to figure it out and resolve it). Considering the cost of this host, their support is ridiculously great.
-- PRICING: 4/5
I have one problem with the pricing. The cheapest hosting plan, as advertised (I found this host through an advertisement on this site) requires a 2 year contract. It was a leap of faith to do this and hope for the best, however, in my experience so far I have absolutely no regrets and I hope that Host Monster is able to keep up the great work. With this in mind, I would consider a 5 out of 5 score for Host Monster aside from the fact that I was caught off guard between the advertised price on this website (3.95/mo at the time) versus what it actually was to sign up, 4.95/mo but only if you signed up for 2 years. The price was higher if you did not do the 2 year contract. It is still worth every penny, and I am very happy with the service received.
-- RELIABILITY: 5/5
I have had excellent hosting reliability. I have not once had a single problem, hang or hiccup with any of my sites that I host on Host Monster. Also, their Customer Support has been very reliable as well. They've met every demand I've placed on them. With nothing to complain about, this pretty much is all I have to say about their service. They're great.
-- MISCELLANEOUS:
* WEBMAIL: 4/5 - Their webmail interface options are a little funky. I decided to simply use it for POP mail purposes and use 3rd party interfaces to send/retrieve mail instead of using their webmail interface. It is doable if you are at a computer without your Outlook or Thunderbird, but if you set up a free account such as yahoo you can grab POP mail with that as well. I have never lost an email or lost a webmail account, I just do not prefer their webmail interface.
* CONTROL PANEL: 4/5 - They use Cpanel for their control panel. There are many options available to you. My only gripe is that compared to other hosts that use Cpanel, Host Monster's Cpanel is pretty graphic intensive and a bit too colorful. Other Cpanels from other hosts have all the same options but without all the fluff and and unneeded graphic intensive interface. It may be helpful for a less experienced user though, for visual reference. It would be nice if you could customize how your Cpanel looks so that I could just have text links to each section instead of large icons.
