oh i love this host!!!! great saves me lots money highly recommend
I honestly don't know what I was thinking when I chose to remain a customer of this moron Peter Ho. I had registered a domain with IExpresshost in 2003, and remained an understanding a loyal customer until June 2005. I put up with several frustrating instances of server down time, and tried to be understanding because of the cheap price charged for hosting and some understandable downtime issues. The customer support was never good, but the price was right. About a year or so ago, the all too common downtime lasted about a week. I tracked down the company that provided internet connectivity to Peter Ho and was told he had not paid any of his bills and had not returned calls. Peter explained this as a billing problem that occurred while he was on vacation.
To make a excessively long and frustrating story short..... at the beginning of June 2005, this idiot decided to disappear with no warning to his customers. I had just paid to have my domain name renewed and another year of hosting service. Even with all of the frustration I had decided that the hosting was cheap enough, even if it was not always the most reliable. Now however, I am stuck with being unable to renew a domain name that was never updated by Mr. Ho even though I paid for the renewal. Additionally, I can't get access to my domain name because the jerk registered it in his name, not mine, and put a transfer restriction on it. The website for Iexpresshost is no longer up, and Mr. Ho seems to have disappeared to wherever it is that Ho's go.
If anyone finds this fraud, I would be more than interested in hearing from them. Being in the law enforcement profession, I'm sure that I could locate someone in Singapore willing to publicly cane his dumb ass. At the very least, I wouldn't mind taking enough whacks at him to compensate for the money and time I am out.
Mr. Ho, if you are still reading these forums and responding anonymously as your own best customer, it is high time you grow a pair and take care of your business. Explainations, release of domain names and a refund would be a start.
I was with IexpressHost years ago, shortly after they launched. I remained with them for about a year. I contacted support and asked if they could cancel my account and refund my remaining balance. They did not reply for many weeks. The third week I threatened legal action, and I did get a reply. One of their support guys told me that the owner of IexpressHost had disappointed (he lives somewhere in Singapore), and he suggested that I find a new host. Everything was automated, so new signups were accepted. I left IexpressHost in 2003, shortly after the owner disappointed.
My website is down as well. I just renewed my contract in May. Money and Data gone! With no response from iexpress. This is definatly fradualant activity. Does anyone know where to start the complaint process?
Me too. Iexpresshost has been down since Thursday June 9th. If anyone has any news on whether they will appear again, post here. This guy should be reported to the authorities on charges of fraud.
Stayed with them due to price and speed (when they are up)... Currently still down and I wonder if they will ever be back. Is there anything that can be done legally against these crooks?
My experience with IexpressHost was terrible, with frequent downtime and almost no tech support. I lost entire huge databases from a site that took months to rebuild.
Details of my experience along with some of my investigations into IexpressHost and Peter Ho can be found here:
Like the poster before me, I'm searching the web to see if iExpressHost still exists. It doesn't look good. My website and their website has been down for at least three days. I've not really had too much problem with them until this. It's bad timing. And since there's no phone number there's no way to call and ask them what's going on.
They're up...They're down. Granted, more up than down, but it is a pain in the neck. Their Customer Service leaves MUCH to be desired as there really is none. You can't call them if there is a problem. Right now, I can't access any of my sites, nor can I even access www.iexpresshost.com! I don't even know if they still exist. This is going on three days now. I found this JURY because I was searching the internet trying to figure out if they went belly up. Stay away from them. I have other accounts with POWWEB. they are much more reliable. I just wish they supported subdomains.
When I first signed up, everything went well for a bit. I chose this host because of the low price, but after a while the downtime started adding up quickly. At one point, everything was down for more than a week. When things are up, I have no real complaints, they seem pretty nice but this company isn't what you would look for if you have a website that has any real importance to you.
From the moment i got started with Iexpresshost until now (over 13 months), i feel very very happy. I rarely have to contact them cause their uptime is awesome but whenever i contact them for my problem they answer imediately and help me resolve promptly. The long i am with them the more i love them. Thank you Iexpresshost!
They started out fine until the 14 day money back guarantee was over and went down hill from there. The only reason I will rate them as a 1 is because there is no 0 available. My site was down repeatedly and requests for a response went unanswered. Good riddance ixepresshost. I have moved on.
Down 50% of the time ATLEAST and to boot, have stolen every name transfered there. We transfered two of our own, and a partners because of the price.....its been 3 months now our names are about to expire and he just writes saying "Thank You". He should be in prison
Slow if any tech support. I had tons of downtime with them. Cancelled service with them and got penalized a percentage even though they were at fault by not holding up to the alleged 99% uptime, should have done a charge back.
They are down on average 4 days a month and never follow through with what they are saying they will do. By e-mails sent to me from them it seems as they dont pay their bill on time so that their server gets pulled at least once a month then they blame hardware problems for the server being down after a day.
