I love this host. It's amazing, and you want to know why? I have PROOF they don't overfarm. I get 0.51% server usage average in the day. Err... And that's overfarming? Seems like a less then idle server. Here a statistical image:

I would stay far far away from imhosted. First off, they have oversold their server farm, causing frequent slowing of their servers, sometimes even having them locking up and going down. I have hooked up with a server monitoring service and confirmed that my server is dropping connections 12 times daily.

Then, they claim to have IM service, which is a joke because either they never are logged on, or if they are, they ignore you.

So, since they don't have phone service you have to open a support ticket, which may or may not be answered in 24 hours.

I changed e-mail address and notified them. They kept sending emails to my old address which I did not receive. As I "did not answer" their emails they dropped my site -- I explained their error to them but there email "help" representatives are incredibly unhelpful - I am dropping them and starting with a new host. When I signed up with IMH nearly 6 years ago they were a good host. Quick to resolve issues and with prices you really couldn't beat. However, in recent years things have started to go down hill. Site downtime increasing, lack of any real reasons for this and getting any sort of rebate or decent answer is like getting blood from a stone. It's getting so bad in fact that I am going to be changing hosts in the coming weeks and canceling my account.

To give a case of complete incompitence on their part. My site was all fine and perfect yesterday. Today, my admin password didn't work, got that reset only to find that all e-mail accounts have been removed and that it's as if they've reset my domain to day 0.

My honest advice to people is avoid them. Pay a little extra and go for other hosts who are more reliable. Yes they packages are cheap and appealing but trust me, they're nothing like they were when they started. Today IMH are just a company out for money who like to think they're one of the best out there. Avoid IMH at all costs!

Worst provider ever... The only easy part was signing up with them, there price is cheap/fair. The problems we had were ftp issues, password issues, registering for site builder was a mess no reply from them to set it up to use it. the customer service team send emails back but not very helpful. The billing is even worse, still in the process of canceling my account they now tell me it can take 40 days to get my money back. all that being said if you look at there site they would have you thinking they offer fair priced and reliable web hosting however it is anything but that. beware of IMHOSTED.COM just read other reviews and you will see it is best to stay away from them. Thanks.

The server is always overloaded and very slow. Down time is very frequent, at least 3 - 4 times per week. Support is not helpful at all. Don't trust every words they said in the package, they just want to get you money and give you lousy service. They are dishonest, stay away from this unreliable host, or you will be regreted.

Don't do it!

1. The phone numbers theypost for customer service are answering machines. In fact, all the numbers are. Their website is registered anonymously, they have no phone numbers where you can actually talk to a person, and what minimal costumer service does exist does so under anonymity. This is weird and makes the entire company suspect.

2. Their support ticket fix is ridiculously slow. Things that are easy to fix will be done quickly. If your problem requires expertise, don't expect a response for a long time.

3. Imhosted's uptime guarantee is a load of crap. My website doesn't work, but Inhosted says it does! Customer Service admits there is a problem, but I highly doubt that means I get a refund.

4. Customer service is RUDE. After spending hours calling their numerous answering machines, filing tickets, and struggling to get help, I downloaded ICQ for their 24/7 live support. Only one person is online and he's a jackass. He told me 'five minutes' several hours ago and my site still doesn't work.

If you get Imhosted, you'll be sorry.

My website has been rock stable and trouble free with Imhosted. Support has been excellent and they always reply quickly. The live chat/phone support service is a nice addition. Overall, I would recommend them.

Don't be fooled by the plans and cheap prices, the customer support is terrible. They say they have Icq help available but all they do is forward you to the support ticket desk, where it takes a day for the any question to be answered. When dealing with problems they never provide complete information, giving you bits and pieces of logs in e-mail, never the actual log files.

The customer help is not particularly well-versed in their field, and could not explain anything to me, just copy and paste parts of log files. Additionally account setup takes days, not hours or minutes, days! Not only are they incompetent, but they are slow too.

Downtime was tremendous, maybe as much as 10% in a month. vBulletin hardly ran on their server, it took every page ages to load and my e-mail was bombarded by hundreds of database errors.

I would never recommend this host to anyone for large scale or even personal site hosting. I would pick a smaller host with more tech-savy staff and who actually care about their clients.

Trust me and the rest of the reviews, you do not want this excuse for a host.

Hello!

I bought a hosting package in this company. Then I found that their hosting is not reliable.

And I decided to cancel my account. At first I completed a cancellation form. And has now answer after 3 or 4 days.

Then I contacted live support.

BTW, about live support. Their live support is very bad. They have ICQ based support. It's the list with seven ICQ numbers. And only 1 - 3 of them are online. When I was speaking with person from support I was posting the same question 2 or 3 times (!) and only after that I received an answer.

Let's back. I posted a trouble ticket. And I didn't receive ANY answer. Next day I contacted live support again. They recommend me to post trouble ticket. And I posted one more trouble ticket. I think you already know what I received as a result. I received no answer. Next day I contacted live support again (it was the third time in a row). Do you know what did they recommend me? THEY RECOMMEND ME TO POST TROUBLE TICKET!!!!!

I don't know will I receive a refund for my account or not. I bought this account 29 days ago and they have 30 days money back.

I DON'T RECOMMEND TO BUY ANYTHING IN THIS COMPANY.

After a year of hosting with imhosted.com I'm done. Initially, I had difficulties setting up my account. Then they could not get the DNS settings for my MX record correct, so had to host DNS services with networksolutions.com. Site was up and down throughout the year with no word from imhosted.com, nor any mention of maintenance or serice outages on their website.

Explicite quetions to the customer support were ignored. I received only the vague 'sorry for the inconvenince' type response.

Changes to their 'approved' scripts were made without any notification. Our e-mail response page was non-functional for several months before I noticed it.

The last straw: our site went down this week. I attempted to access the imhosted.com homepage to open a ticket and it was unavailable as well. Their response to my ticket: "We apologize for the inconvenience caused.There was some temporary hardware issues with our main server (base) and because of that our web site was down yesterday. We have fixed it and our site is working fine now."

A 'ping' is not a served webpage. 99.5% equates to two full days down a year. Can your business accept this number? Ours can't.

I have had issue after issue with imhosted.com My site goes down frequently. Mysql looses it's sock or it exceeds the maximum number of connections every other day. Their support is an insult to my intelligence. They do not tell you anything about what happened other than it was a "temporary problem" or "it has been resolved". The last blow was when they moved my site to another server causeing me to loose two days worth of data. They didn't backup before they did it, they didn't tell me ahead of time and they really didn't say way. Only they determined it would make my site run faster. They did this in the middle of a business day. Now the page load times are 10+ seconds which is unusable and they explain that they are still migrating sites to this new server which is supposed to be more powerful yet it has 1 CPU vs. Two before.

There are many many other issues I've encountered with them. Stay away at all costs. Reading aroudn the web, I am not alone. Consider yourself warned.

A complete and utter disgrace from end to end. Took half a dozen support messages just to get the site working properly once registered with them - all was well for about a month and since then a complete disaster. They said my site was down because of an issue with a Raid 5 array, they said it was down due to a DNS issue. "It was a temporary issue. We assure you that you won`t face any more disruption." - complete lies from support - utter LIES - avoid at ALL costs.

I've nicknamed them Im-Notusually-Hosted because of frequent outages. I signed up in 2003 because the price was inviting. Ever since I've had serious tech support troubles and their chat support is never available. THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE OVER THE PHONE EITHER. And they don't seem to speak English very well so it's hard to communicate problems to them.

IMHosted promises refunds credited to your site for downtime and after complaining I got a fraction of the price credited to my account compared to the amount of downtime I had documented. I've lost about 3 clients because my site was down. The MySQL goes down at least once a week and even though they tell me that they "always" get it back up within 5 minutes my forum has been down for hours at a time.

I sended to them (imhosted.com) 17 messages, by phon they give you "live message".
And they don't feedback, but when you setup , they very Fast.

I signed up for hosting with them. they promise 24/7 live support by phone and by live chat. They have neither. I have been trying for a week to get my money back from them. And yes, i am within my 30 day period of getting my money back.

Billing, tech support none of the above will even respond to the emails from their tech support site. I have never seen anything this bad in my life.
