Pros: Great Price
Cons: No customer service, site unreliable, slow servers
You get what you pay for.
I was with this provider for several years because, quite honestly, my website never had that many hits. Last year I rolled out new content and started getting decent traffic. Next thing I know the site's availability was up and down like the Dow Jones.
When it was up, my site was very slow in responding.
When the site was down, emails to customer service went into a black hole. You say, you should have called. Great idea, except there is no number to contact them at.
Wouldn't recommend them to a friend, casual acquaintance or terrorist.
Going with infinology was by far the very worst decision that I ever made in my more than 5 years now of reselling. I was with them for around 5 months in 2002-03, and it was nothing but trouble. When there was a serious problem (which was the case many times) they simply did not pick up the phone or answer their email - extremely frustrating. Their message said, something like, "We cannot answer the phone because of hi customer volume blah blah blah." This message would come on during times when you really needed to get a hold of them. There were VERY SERIOUS outages that lasted for many hours, and on many occasions (probably 5-8 as I recall within only a two month time span, with some outages lasting more than 12 full hours without any connectivity). I strongly recommend not to go anywhere near this company. Also, I spoke with the person in charge, at one point, and he essentially came across as not wanting to shoulder any responsibility. He really seemed like he didn't care. I could see that this was the root of this company's problem - right at the top.
Infinology closed my account twice and blamed my sites for poor security setups on their servers. They charged me $142 without my permission to renew my web service. Avoid these guys at all costs. If they are your current server, cancel your credit card as fast as you can.
I just went through the process of signing up with another host. After two support tickets went unanswered, I decided I wouldn't put up with that, and looked elsewhere.
Unfortunately, my experience has been the same as others. I have tried repeatedly via phone, online trouble tickets, and e-mail to contact any living being at Infinology - all to no avail.
I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. I doubt anything will come of either of those complaints, but I filed them nonetheless.
I am fairly independent in terms of supporting my own web site, but recently a problem has arisen with permissions and their WebShell from the Control Panel. If I edit a file, it gets saved as an empty file. It is obvious that there is a permissions problem or that would not happen.
FTP still works, fortunately. I have made a backup of all my content and MySQL databases, and I am now searching for a new place to host my web sites. Once I am set up with a new hosting company, I will cancel my account with Infinology. I fully expect to lose the balance on my account since I paid in advance for a two year plan and I am only 25% of the way through that two year period.
Suggestions would be appreciated. I am done with them, but hope they are also done with me. My fear is continued billing:
- How do I stop it with them?
- How can I insure outside of them that I not be billed by them again?
My experience seems to be like many others here. Started out OK, and now they have fallen apart with no support. Received no response from messages or emails. I see no defense on this site of them. It's as if they have been taken over by some non-functioning entity that could care less. At the risk of sounding naive (which I am in this field), what the heck goes on with things like this? I mean, they obvioulsy went thru the trouble to set SOMETHING up that was working. And now a few years later it just seems to fall apart at the seams. What is the typical scenario? Did they just get bored or go on drugs? What?
I suddenly found all my links (40 picture galleries) pointed to their website instead of my pictures. I managed to break through their Sales line (figuring they might want to keep that open) and got the broken English girl. Nice enough girl, trying to a crappy job. She said my accounts had been suspended (for no reason). They lifted the suspension, but it's obvious they deleted all my links.
I am moving over to another web host, a friend who is about to go public. I think it's best to find someone who you PHYSICALLY know and can get in touch with. Enough of these blind internet companies out there. They may be good for years and then suddenly everything you have counted on is gone. I can't imagine how much a business counting on them for services would be screwed.
They started off great and slowing went downhill. I have had trouble tickets in for months that have not been answered. Don't even try the phone, you will not reach a human. Or if you do, they won't be able to help.
When I started with Infinology back in 2003, I had a good relationship with them. They were prompt and met my needs. However, within the last year, the company has went to hell, with interminable downtime, all my databases stopped working, and worse of all, it seems like I cannot contact any support or staff. From snooping around, it seems like they went out of business, and even charged my credit card fraudulently for another year's service without notice. I'm so sad that they turned into a scam.
Horrific! I started having trouble and they are totally unreachable - emails go unanswered, voice mails go unanswered WHEN you can even leave them (usually mailbox is full), support barely speaks English (I could care less if it's outsourced overseas, but if I can't understand them then they are useless)
When i filled out their little form to cancel my account I received an instant automated email saying I was sending this cancellation to an invalid account (even though it was their online form, not an email) then I received another email saying it was received, then I was never canceled.
Infinology doesn't return phone calls or e-mail, period. Voice mail "mailboxes" are full. Messages state mailboxes are full and in some instances, "goodbye" as the call is then terminated, (by them). The infinology.com website exists as a "shingle on the web" only. No one's home. I've threatened to report them to the BBB, various Internet reporting agencies, etc. Nothing. For all intents and purposes, they don't exist. The best experience I've had to date is with Hosting Connecticut. As a developer I've used them for years with other sites. Never an issue. No kidding, never. Here's their contact info:

I'm not an Infinology customer, though I certainly tried. I ran across a couple of good reviews about the hosting so I decided to look into them further. After reviewing their plans I had decided to go with "plan 7296", however I had some questions as there were two different descriptions of the plans (For example, one page said you received 16GB space, while another claimed 100GB; 300GB data transfer vs. 999GB data transfer; 15 matching subdomains vs. 25). I called the company for 10 days and never once reached a person. After the first day I started calling all of their departments (sales, technical support, the operator, etc) and, again, never reached an individual. I left several messages using their "leave a message option", and no one ever called me back. The end result is that if I can't contact them to purchase their product, how am I going to contact them if something goes wrong. I certainly won't be using Infinology.
Their service has become increasingly spotty. Nine months ago I needed to spend two hours (not counting wait time) going round and round with a tech support person whose grasp of the English language was limited, making dealing with technical issues a chore.
Email has been down for 36 hours now and shows no signs of being restored yet, which isn't acceptable for customers wishing to conduct business through web and email. A high priority trouble ticket has gone untouched for nearly 24 hours. Calls to tech support ground out in voice mail no matter what time of day they are made.
For those having trouble canceling, the URL to cancel is:
http://www.infinology.com/cancel/index.php The form asks for your Account Number, something I don't even remember existing 4 years ago when I first started hosting there. Every transaction has been done with an account username. To figure out your account number, look at the URL of the control panel when you are logged into it. That 7 digit number after your username/ is your account number. It was a lucky guess for me, but it went through and I received a confirmation email promptly.
I HATE THEM! I HATE THEM! Service is nonexistent, my mail is down with no explanation, my website is down, my ftp is down and even their website is down. The past year os so has been horrible! I can't call or email them and they don't respond to trouble tickets. I can't wait to be free from them. I am deleting all my billing info from them so they will automatically cancel my accounts. I hope they can stay afloat until my time with them runs out. DO NOT USE THEM!! When they were Primemaster they were fine, now I hate them.
I have been a customer of Infinology since before they acquired the Primemaster business - perhaps 5 years or so - and the service has gotten steadily worse; intermittent uptime, unreliable mail access, slow tech support responses.
The last three months have been the worst of it, though. I haven't been able send email through either a mail client or the webmail interface, and they have deleted five successive trouble tickets without bothering to respond. They do not answer emails and do not pick up their phone.
Unsurprisingly, they continue to bill me like clockwork.
I have moved to a new host, but after all I've read from other reviews, I am nervous about their continuing to bill me even after I've canceled. It's really a shame when a decent business is criminally mismanaged. I do hope the proprietors end up facing criminal charges for fraud.
We have been with Infinology for 2 years. The service has rapidly deteriorated especially over the last three months. Our experience with this service has prompted us to implement a disaster recovery plan. We now are switched to another hosting service.
The service from Infinology is unbelieveably bad. Over the course of a month I have made repeated phone calls but there was no answer. The phone mail is always full. They don't answer your tech support questions. Often we can't access our databaae. It is becomeing dangerous for our business. Finally we have enough and pulled the plug. We have been dangerously living for several months. Strange they continue to charge us on our credit card inspite of our request to discontinue the service!
To make the story short: they used to be good, they are now horrible.
Like many others, I am now stuck with domain names registered through Infinology. These domains are of course locked and I have no way of getting any information to transfer to somebody else.
Infinology does no longer respond to trouble tickets, phone nor email.
Periodically the servers go down, the email gets lost or appear several days later, and they suffer from disk full syndrom (with nobody apparently to address the situation).
I cannot possibly understand how they are allowed to remain in business with such horrible level of service (i.e. no level of service, I mean ZERO customer support).
Isn't there a way to file an injunction to cease and desist? How many customers out there have lost money with these guys???
This should have zero out of 5 since I paying for nothing! Infinology staff seem to have disappeared but they are still charging me though I have been trying to cancel my account for months now. I've have the same response as other users recently, no response to emails and phones don't work! Very frustrating and no way to get my credit card info out of their system! I have already transfered the hosting to another provider.
I've read many reviews that say what needs to be said about this web host. Please do your research before signing up with them. The price seems good at first, but the saying "if it's too good to be true, it most likely isn't" holds true with Inifinolgy. My current site says Account suspended. My domain registration and my 1 year fee has been paid in full (I have proof from my credit card receipt). I sent a cancel account notice in to them after my admin password changed out of the blue and couldn't for the life of me, or anyone else for that mater. Get a hold of anyone at Infinology. Only after LA BBB was contacted did my account reach the suspended status. See www.pillowfist.net, it's dirty business and something should be done about it. I guess Karma will prevail in the end, but beware if you’re thinking of using this host. I highly recommend looking elsewhere, as there are many capable web hosting companies out there.
Infinology, is probably the worst hosting provider out there, they allowed a nonpaying customer of mine to call in by telephone and get my passwords, well they actually gave him the password. Since then, I can not get a person in customer service, my trouble tickets go unresponded to, my emails remain unanswered, other email servers are blocking thier emails and still no answer by telephone. All of my emails even non-published email addresses are getting flooded with spam, I still can't get a representitive on the phone. The site server seems to go down about 6-12 hours a week, sometimes even more, hackers have found thier was into some of my web sites, and still no answer from infinology.
Infinology used to be a superior webhost. In the last year however:
1) Our website goes "down" every few weeks for lengthy periods.
2) We are TOTALLY UNABLE to contact a human being at Infinology Tech Support.
3) We tried to contact someone at BILLING and SALES as well and only once have we succeeded. That time, it was an overseas semi-English speaker who could not help us contact anyone in Tech Support.
I think Infinology must be in the process of closing up and I could not recommend their service to anyone.
Without doubt, the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. They DO NOT respond to emails, they DO NOT answer their phones; you are forwarded to a voice mail system that constantly says "The mailbox is full, goodbye". DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. Oh, have I mentioned how horrifying this company is?
Where to begin. Well in the actual beginning tech support was good. I got hit up with the spam situation as mentioned earlier by another user but the tech's sorted it out and life was good again. Then For about a week the site was extremely slow and unreliable. The control panel is fine for my needs so no complaints there. My problem comes in with the tiny database size you get. The SQl server is also unreliable. For no reason there is a physical problem with my database which they cant explain that causes it to get locked as being read by the sql server. Whenever i put in a ticket for help although it doesnt always get answered that doesnt matter to me because whatever the problem is normally gets fixed pretty promptly.
Also the price for our package sucks, as there are many other hosts that offer more for less.
So I have been with Infinology for over 5 years. I moved there from Hawk Communications. That of course is another sob story all together. They just stink. If you find this please stay away from Hawk Comms. They are a total SCAM I used to work there and I would know. Joe Egosi is d out to make money and deliver nothing along the lines of service. His Dad’s name is David but I think their last names are different. They are a scam and the entire Joi Internet thing is too.
Recently I have been having trouble with the fact that I upload a file and then I can't delete it. I can't edit it and I can't write over it. So I am stuck, I also can't edit the CHMOD to be able to edit the file. I have 5 open tickets with them right now and no one has looks at them in weeks.
Support is a really hard to understand group of women that really don't have any answers. They can forward you to voice mail boxes that don't exist or no one will answer and give you names of people who as far as I am concerned don't exists either. No one has ever called me back even thought I leave messages daily.
I have called support and asked them to work on the tickets and they lead you along and nothing gets done.
I have been told the owners name is Max Lun, but who knows if that is right and his phone number is : 302-351-4997. It never connects so again I have nothing to work with.
They used to offer 24X7 support but now the support is only for about 7 hours a day total and the sales department is the only group to answer their phones at times and never have an answers either.
The billing department is not there at all and have not answered emails I have sent this for 20 weeks straight. So if they are there they can't type out even one email.
I WOULD NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING. THEY ARE USELESS AND I STAND TO LOSS MONEY BECAUSE OF THEM.
We bought our hosting plan with Infinology three years ago, and needed some tech support at first. It was prompt and good. We simply had some informational pages about our company up, and used a bunch of email addresses. Then this year, I noticed that new customers get SpamAssassin with their accounts. I wrote and requested that SpamAssassin be enabled for our account, and was told we'd hafta pay $20 to be moved off the old, creaky server we were on to a new one which supports SpamAssassin. That didn't seem fair, treating the loyal customers that way, so I dropped it, figuring that when our hosting expired in July, we'd simply move to another host we have and like a lot (which offers about a thsousand more features) anyway.
Suddenly, we couldn't pop our email, and discovered our domain had expired. Oooops: the email address we'd had on our Infinology account no longer existed, so we didn't receive notification that the domain was about to expire. My bad. Went in and changed our email address, then went to request a transfer of the domain name ... but discovered that our email address on our account at Infinology had reverted to the non-existent email address. Wrote to their billing and support departments repeatedly asking them to change it back, but no reply. Phone calls to billing and support ring forever with no voicemail. Dialing 0 to speak to the operator says, "Leave a voicemail for Infinology Corporation Jason," and no one returns the voicemails. The 30-day grace period on the domain name is now up, but we still can't register it elsewhere, and I'm beginning to worry that we'll never have it again.
Back in 2001, I bought my domain and hosted with Primemaster Solutions. No problems with them. About a year later they were bought by Infinology. I experienced downtimes and poor tech support early on. I immediately switched from them. The only thing I do with them is the yearly domain renewal, a painless and straight forward process with no problems. Should there be?
This past July I received my renewal notice for the August expiration. I submitted the online payment form as usual and did not observe any errors or complications.
A day after the domain expiration I notice my site was down. Checking with my domain control panel I noticed my domain had expired and there were no pending requests.
I immediately called Infinology during their tech support hours and after ringing for 5 minutes a voicemail answered. I left a message. I also emailed Sales, Billing, and Tech Support. I also re-submitted a renewal payment just in case the first was somehow lost.
On the 2nd day after no responses, I spent the worse part of my workday calling Infinologies contact numbers. I was excited when finally someone answered the option 2 Tech support from the Phone Menu Tree. To my surprise he said First Rate Mortgage Company. He hung up after I said I was trying to get hold of Infinology.
Tried a second time and got First Rate Mortgage again, this time he said enter extension 51 or 52 to get them. This is weird. Called back and entered extension 51. After 10 rings, Tatiana from tech support answers. We can barely communicate with the strong accent and poor connection. She said the charges are in the system and my domain should be active the next day. She emails me back to say only one charge mad by Billing.
Then next day comes, domain still expired. I spend the next 2 days calling, emailing, faxing. Finally I get Katrina in Sales. She sounded just like Tatiana and stutters when I mention that to here. She says oh she's in Tech support. Okay, so after battling for 5 minutes that they are the registrar of my domain who is responsible for submitting the renwal to the registries, She take my credit card and domain info. She says to call back in 2 hours to make sure Billing got it? She says that there is nothing in the system about any renewal attempts, even with Tatiana!! Whaaat!!
I call back in 2 hours, she says billing got it and that it will take 72 hours for my domain renewal to appear. I tell her 24 hours and she doesn't budge and hangs up. I can never get hold of her again.
It's 9 days past my domain expiration, still in registrar-hold status, and no charges to my credit card. No responses at all.
I do believe they are under new ownership, probably ready to go under. I've already submitted complaints to the bureau, ICANN, and such. That won't do much though.
I'll just keep pushing until they renew it. Only then can I transfer it to another registrar.
Thinking back, my only mistake was to not transfer my domain to someone like godaddy.com. After researching they seem to have favorable reviews. Even registerfly.com has some dirt, registerflies.com. They're even ICANN registered? Holy Carp!!(I know).
So I have an online business, dead in the water. Phone's blowing up because email is down because of DNS. All for a measly renewal which is pennies compared to money lost and not to mention all my site optimization work. Truly a f*cked situation.
Apparently there is other recent carp too! Operating under different names.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! SUPPORT IS NONEXISTENT. THEY APPEAR TO HAVE NEW OWNERSHIP RECENTLY. SUPPORT TICKETS ARE UNANSWERED. DOMAIN RENEWALS ARE INOPERATE AND YOUR DOMAIN CAN BE CANCELLED EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE USED THE ONLINE FORM AND GOTTEN APPROVAL. YOUR DOMAIN WILL BE LOCKED AND IF YOU TRY TO TRANSFER IT THEY REFUSE TO ASSIST YOU FORCING YOU TO CONTACT THE REGISTRAR DIRECTLY AND BEG FOR HELP. STAY AWAY!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!!
I hosted my site with these guys for over a year and a half. At first, they were just fine, although their control panel is horrible. However, much like the other guy below me, my site experienced downtime periodically at least once a week, and has not allowed me to FTP.
Every time that I call Infinology, I get the same woman on the phone at Billing.
If you let the phone ring between 50-75 times at customer service, you get a Middle-Eastern gentleman. Again, the same one every time.
Infinology is about to go under--DO NOT sign up with them!
I began using Infinology to host my business site in 2003. For the first year, this host performed fairly well. There were occasional periods of down time but I could live with the problem. When there was a problem, reaching technical support was usually difficult and often the tech had such poor english speaking skills that the help provided was of minimal value. Those were the good old days.
Recently, Infinology has had nearly weekly periods of extended down time. Not only would my site be down, but the Infinology company site would be down as well. The outages would often last for hours, occasionally days. Forget about reaching anyone in tech support during these downtime periods. Their answering machine would take messages but I never received a return phone call.
The straw that broke the camals back for me was when one of my customers tried to order a product that my company no longer sells. I wondered how this customer even knew about this obsolete product. When I logged on to my site, I discovered that a six month old version was being displayed. I still do not know how this happened. My theory is that Infinology had a major crash and when they reloaded the servers, they used an old backup. I never received any communication from Infinology about this incident.
Using Infinology to host my business site has cost me untold thousands of dollars in lost sales. Even though I still have about six months prepaid hosting service on the books with Infinology, I have come to the conclusion that staying with this host a day longer puts my business in serious risk. I will be switching to another host immediately.
Infinology is unacceptable as a hosting service. Do not even consider this company if you need a host that offers reliable service and support.
I came to this host over a year ago from reading some good reviews, but not anymore, some problems are
1 poor and slow servers at least the one I was on,
2 poor value for money, there are better plans around that have better servers and more space for what you can pay infinology, I have now switched to another host and currently have problems canceling my account with infinology, it has taken three emails to get a cancelation form
However saying that I never had many complaints with the customer service, I would get any issues that I had delt with pretty quickly, so for me thats was the only good point
so now I have switched to another host, anyone wanting a cheap but full of features hosting package, then look else where, otherwise upgrading your acount or adding stuff on top will cost a bomb
final word avoid like the plague
I've been with Infinology for a couple years now and I'm frustrated enough to leave at this point. The main issues are that the Unix host does not send mails any longer from my forums (SMF). I've mailed their support and they didn't fix it and blew me off. People try to register in them and they never get the confirmation e-mail with the link.
Also, the more recurring and annoying issue is that quite often people get 'connection refused by host' when accessing my site. The whole site is down for several minutes to hours at a time. This happens almost daily it seems.
I've found that their phone will ring forever when my site refuses connection or if they do answer, they lie about it. Sometimes they say they'll look at it and say its solved and a few days later it's refusing connections again. ARG! I just checked today and there are about 350 web sites on my web server, which I understand is too many. I don't know for sure if that's too many or not. I do suspect they over subscribe their service.
In general I found the MySQL DB to be highly available though. No problems there for me. One bright spot in their hosting. I never lost any data in my database, or any of my web files for that matter. The thing is they limit me to 20MB of DB which is just not enough for my needs. I like the PHPMyAdmin panel, it works fine.
The webalizer stats really suck.. They are counting my .jpg and .gif loads as page hits and all sorts of other useless files! The stats are useless. This wans't true for the first year or so until I moved to the Unix host. I e-mailed them to fix it and they didn't touch it.
When I was on the Windows server, I had constant, never ending problems FTP'ing files to the site. It was a pain in the.. The Unix server is fine for FTP.
I moved over to Unix for PHP support, and it's been good for PHP. They seem to keep it up to date (patched).
The site hasn't been hacked to my knowledge so Infinology seems to be good on that front, from what I've experienced.
Why go with Infinology when there's so much competition? Thing is, it's VERY hard to find a good ISP! Why is the hosting industry so bad?!?!
The site has only been down for short periods this year. Seems responsive most of the time but sometimes it is very slow. This may be the fault of my blog (wordpress) or their servers.
Customer support has been pretty god. Not too impressed by their control pannel and file manager. Had to submit some pretty basic questions because it was not totally intuitive. Wish they had fantastico, a recent imp, cPanel, and some other standard components instead of inhouse/unpolished ones. smtp email servers have custom authentication. Wish they just had user/pass.
Am planning on switching this week. I need a provider that has better mysql servers, ssh, and a little more suited towards programmers.
For the first a few months, the speed and service were still ok, however once my site's bandthwidth flow grow up, the service quanlity drops dramatically. today my site can not be accessed at all and till now no response from their technical support. Whatelse we can say about such a bad service provider? Suggestion is that never host your wbsite there.
I'm planning on switching hosting companies this week. The customer support has not been bad. Many things aren't or weren't working as they should. I had to submit a ticket to get Perl running. Protecting a directory worked fine last May but not anymore.
Had good experience for just over a year. Luckily I didn't need very much tech support, so everything seemed fine. I have three websites hosted with them and suddenly, BAM, I've been falsely accused of spamming and suspended, strangely enough, just after they'd taken my money for another year. I now appear to be at their tech supports mercy as to when and if my websites are reinstated. I have been found guilty until proven innocent with no prior contact until the day I got suspended. They have now made my 3 business websites about as professional as they are.

Unbelievably unprofessional and unreliable!

Pros: none
Cons: Extremely unprofessional and unresponsive customer service; servers consistently down
I run a content site, and when I launched my site in April '02 I signed up with Infinology for a relatively high price ($20/month) given how many really cheap web hosts are out there, but thought it was worth paying more to avoid some of the hassles that...

Infinology is awful

Pros: Control panel has a lot of features
Cons: Frequent downtimes, incompetent customer service, hard to get live person
I just wanted to agree with ralphphillips' review. Infinology has steadily declined in service and appears to be getting worse. They have frequent down times and a terrible, incompetent and rude staff--if you can actually get someone. You can get through...

I ordered a dedicated server from Infinology about one month ago. The deal seemed good and the bandwidth was generous. After filling out their online form to order the server, I called Infinology to confirm the order. First bad sign, no one answers the...

Infiniology is INFINATELY BAD.
by ralphphillips, Oct 06 '02
Pros: Nice account interface
Cons: frequent down-time, poor customer support
You get what you pay for. I used to keep my sites at Dreamhost (a fantastic host), but I was
lured away to Infinology by low prices, increased storage, and access to a CGI-BIN. Big
mistake.
The first couple of months,...

Changed my IP withOUT warning - KILLED MY BUSINESS
by Kent_Nelson_dt1, Dec 10 '03
Pros: You will appreciate OTHER HOSTS after this experience.
Cons: TERRIBLE customer service. Just DO NOT CARE. Awful.
Nightmare. Cost me $500 a month in LOST BUSINESS. Why? Because totally WITHOUT WARNING, they changed the IP address of my server. I couldn\'t figure out the problem at first (who could?). Everything just went DEAD. My submitted support ...

Infinology is a scam
by btoombs,Sep 22 '03
Pros: nothing
Cons: They lie, the mislead, they ignore, the provide nothing. They will steal your money.
I signed up for a web host package that included "free" domain registration, but all I got was a bill for $130.40 (including $35 for domain registration) and nothing else. No service, no response, no answers, no domain, no nothing. There is no link to you account and they don't tell you how to log in. I think that's because you don't really have an account. Just a big bill on your credit card. After 6 days I was still able to registered my domain with a different (and much more reputable) domain registrar.
Repeated requests to cancel my account and reverse any charges have gone unanswered. I'm forced to file a dispute with my credit card company to make sure these scammers don't get any money from me.

Infinology is horrible, and they are liars besides
by mistersam07,Jul 07 '04
Pros: No need to exerc ise to get your blood pumping.
Cons: E-mail, support, FTP, anything you can think of
I subscribed to infinology before there were any posts on this site, and found good reviews somewhere else. They were obviously planted.
E-mail was unreliable at best, I had to constantly change settings whenever I receieved responses from late or nonexistent customer support. Why did I receive 30 e-mails from some spammers and not any from my business contacts and friends? Must be the e-mail program and/or a bug.
Why is my page not loading properly?
Why doesn't the FTP work?
Why are ALL the problems happening that I'm having?
It was never their fault, and putting it mildly, they were short if not rude.
Thank goodness I only paid for the one year at $88. I switched to TextDrive and whaddaya know...EVERY problem I had with infinology went away!!! No more super-bulk spam, no more missed e-mails, and wow, my page comes up on google again to boot!

I feel very cheated
by arctriton,Feb 03 '04
Pros: I can't think of any.
Cons: Numerous and troublesome.
Everything the others have said matches with my experience.
Lack of access to my website for an hour or two each morning. My website and the Infinology website have been down all day today. I've had no reply to my request for assistance. Slow loading of pages etc.
This was the first time I used a webhost and I knew going in that it would be a gamble, so I researched and read numerous reviews on webhosting review sites. If only I had read some consumer reviews instead. How are they getting these high ratings and rave reviews from those websites? I can't understand it at all unless they have some connection to these reviewers.
I can't recommend them at all.

Unbelievably unprofessional and unreliable!
by sleah, Aug 25 '02

Infinology is awful
by GLADKOV, Oct 07 '02
Pros: Control panel has a lot of features
Cons: Frequent downtimes, incompetent customer service, hard to get live person
I just wanted to agree with ralphphillips' review. Infinology has steadily declined in service and appears to be getting worse. They have frequent down times and a terrible, incompetent and rude staff--if you can actually get someone. You can get through...

I am presently a member of infinology.com - their whole system is a fraud.
1. Ist offered 2000 free subdomains - then af6ter you join - they change it to 500
2. they were free sub domains - then when you get 20 - they want to charge you $10 each for set up fee - that was not the prior contract
3. the techs lie about their names , ect ect
4. i had the 1400 host plan
I really liked Infinology for the two years I was with them. Until I needed ASP.Net. I was on a Windows plan, and was informed they had no plans to goto ASP.Net. That was not to bad. Then the microsoft spam virus hit and I was informed that Infinology did not run Virus or spam software and had no plans to. Well After receiving 400 emails viruses a day then I decided to leave.
