WOW......where to start. support ticket after supposrt ticket. I have had one timely support ticket everything else takes forever. Their 24/7 icq support hardly ever replies and there is no way to get into contact with a human.........before you develope your site........find another hosting company |

I have been with Lypha for quite a long time now.
My site includes my Kennelīs website and my personal homepage. Nothing else. Traffic is small. Space usage is very small. Payments are always done properly. I actually think of myself as a "Dream Customer"!
Problems always existed (downtimes, etc), but I decided to stay.
In the last two months, however, I start to get MASSIVE problems with Lypha.
For some reason they start to mess with my websites, change lots of my files permissions without any advice, LOTS of unexplained downtimes, etc.
Two weeks ago they just deleted the two directories where I store most the the images that composes my site (all of them about my dogs, and necessary to my webpages).
Then my site was down and I found out that I had to upgrade Xoops and B2Evolution. That is, they put me down without any warning. Apparently they donīt give a SH*** about the problems that downtimes cause to my business (and my companyīs profit).
I did the upgrading that they suggest, and fixed all of the problem.
Now they have suspended my account, again, without any warning, any explanation.
I contact support but they failed to explain why. The problem has been escalated and I am sitting here, writing this review, and waiting to see their explanation. |

I have been with Lypha for almost 4 years. My site and needs are basic, and for most of that period I was satisfied.
However, in the past two months, I have had to submit 8 written complaints regarding my business clients not being able to reach me via email, or the site being unresponsive. An average of once a week! Most recently the site was down, so I sent the trouble ticket. I received no response, so after being down for at least 7 hours, I sent another complaining about the site still being down and I had not gotten a response (other than an automated response acknowledging receipt). So now I have a -second- ticket tracking number.
It's now been over 11 days and I have yet to get a response to these two trouble tickets. I even utilized their link to a service called "Responsive Supervisor Priority Care," and unbelievably, after several days I have gotten no response to THAT!
They claim to offer 99.998% uptime, but take a look at the current month's uptime stats for the server I was unfortunate enough to be assigned to:

I see today they are offering 2 terabytes of space and 15 terabytes of bandwidth for $4.95 -- ya think they have a problem with overpromising and underdelivering?
I am soooooo outtahere. I'm in the process of switching to a responsive webhost (according to posters here) that happens to be a lot cheaper than Lypha. Life is finally good again.

Easily the WORST host I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. NO support, TERRIBLE service, AWFUL uptime. They outright lie to you if you do happen to get any response from support. Sites go down randomly for DAYS until you pester them about it.

After my first couple months with Lypha I started having a lot of problems. Addon domains wouldn't work right, there was a lot of downtime, and they kept banning my IP from the server. I had to keep emailing them to get it removed. Then for a while things smoothed out. There domain problem wasn't corrected but the major downtime had subsided. Then everything came back with a vengeance. In fact just had to get a big subdomain problem fixed (they weren't adding right).
For those claiming good uptime, it all depends on the server you are on. As you can see from the url another reviewer posted uptime dips as low as 98.6% on some servers (a lot actually).
The one good thing I can say about them is that I have never had too many problems with the support. They've always gotten back to me in a timely matter even if they didn't always solve the problem. |

THE WORST HOST...... EVER!
Massively Oversold. Live chat support took more than 4 hours to get a agent on live chat, on more than 3 occasions. Emails and Tickets were replied to more than 2 days. Uptime is terrible. Slow servers. Broken Sitebuilder page on signup. They claim 24/7 support but NO emails are answered after 4pm when there phone support leaves.
PHONE SUPPORT NEVER PICKS UP. I left 3 messages in 3 different departments and never got a call back. They do NOT pick up.
Massive problems are replied to with one sentence answers. The Chief Sales Manager could not answer a uptime question.

Subsribing to this hosting is truly a nightmare. When my site is down and seek for support. The support will tell you your site is ok on their side. But you just can see your site loaded on your machine. This can happen few times in a week. Downtime is high and the support cannot resolve your issue. The best thing they can do for you is tell you that your IP is not block and the site is ok from their PC. Not recommended. I should have know if something sounds too good (the hosting price and bonus) to be true, it is. |

I've been using lypha for a while now.
My first site went ok, even if the more you use it, the slower it gets. Sometimes it's really useless.
Some of the promotions are not available (such as SUBMIT PRO)
The nightmare comes when you want to add one domain to your (ULIMITED DOMAINS account)....
Really you get obstacles one after the other, like 20 mails to get the DNS properly configured,
than the forwards do not work, then the mailing list do not work...
I mean...really poor service.

I tried to change web servers recently to Lypha and I am facing problems
before I could even start.I made a mistake of not reading the reviews!
ike all other review writers say- server is down and that is what I am facing. And I went for live chat support and this is what they had to say
I am simly not believing it!

I can keep the story short: absolutely the worst hosting provider you will ever come across. Customer service is terrible, uptime is very average, they use every single RBL out there so 50% of the time you cannot send emails and so on and so on. PLEASE everyone, I highly advise you NOT to sign up with Lypha. What a nightmare! My New Years resolution, finding a new hosting provider, and quick!! |

I have to say that if you are reading these reviews, notice the pattern and listen to them. I should have done more looking before signing up with this company. It is exactly how these other reviews describe. I have had the account for less than a month and my sites were down nearly every day for at least an hour. All 11 of them!! I would put in a support ticket and I noticed they would respond just after they sites began working again without fail and the response "They seem to be working now." No lie! Everytime! One time a whole 8 hours after I put in the support ticket I got a "Well it seems to be working now" e-mail. Canned responses and they don't bother to look into it because its a "regular" occurance for them. Also I wasn't able to download my backups after one of these outages, most likely because it wasn't created. I spent a whole 2 days asking that they at least try it themselves and then they will see that it's not working. They kept telling me to do it when it wasn't peak hours but wouldn't say when peak hours were. I am usually up in the middle of the night so I tried at all types of hours and still it didn't work. Then they said they put the backup in the root folder for me to download but never admitted it was because it wasn't created before and still denied there was a problem. I'm just saying this so you can get an idea of the types of things support does. Also they admitted a lot of their servers were hacked one day and the fixes to their servers they made to keep from being hacked again caused a lot of scripts to stop working. Wonderful. Ignore people who don't think having a little down time nearly every day is a problem as some people with low self esteem will put up with anything and expect you to also. ;) I appreciate all of these people who put these reviews here and made me make a better decision about my hosting. I jumped ship with Lypha and now I'm at an excellent hosting company. Also, if you cancel before 30 days it takes them 40 days to give you your money back! I've never seen anything like it. |

Outstanding service, tons!! of features. Servers are fast. Network uptime is good. Only gripe is they are charging too low for what they offer and servers are down for a few minutes every couple of months but overall I would recommend Lypha web hosting. |

My website constantly goes down, 20 mins a time at least, everyday.
Also, I spoke to there live support, (yes, i managed to speak to live support).
Asked what Company they worked for.
His response
"We work for the imhosted and lypha hosting services."

Please people, be carefull with this company,
If you don't want LIVE tech support, any support questions answered, and you don't mind your site going down everyday, for a not so amazing price, then register with Lypha (read this carefully).

Lypha support is fast, their network has had NO downtime during the time I was with them and with regards to their features, they have virtually everything one could ask for. Their support replies are sometimes not to the point, however it was something that didn't bother me as everything else was good. Overall I recommend them. |

Well. I have had my webpages for more than 10 years and tried various hosters along these years. Some where BAD and some where VERY BAD. I moved to Lypha after a REAL horrible experience with Ipowerweb. At first I was attracted by the package of features, price, etc. After a few weeks, however, I started to notice a number of short down-times. At first I thought that there was something wrong with my own Internet connection. It just COULDNīT BE true, after all their guarantee promissed 99,9% uptime, right?!. Them I started to monitor and found out that there were INDEED LOTS of short downtimes and database problems. I discussed the issue with customer support. They were quick to confirm the problems with Mysql, and said I was being solved. The problem is that the problems continued. A few days ago I was contacted by phone by a prospect informing me that he was unable to place a US$ 2000,00 order because my site was down... again!!!! (Thanks Lypha for ruining my business!!!) The bottom line is simple: If you donīt mind having your site down for a few (or many) minutes almost everyday, Lypha may be a OK solution. For those in business I would suggest go looking somewhere else. |

Worst support ever. I moved to these guys because of there claims to fame website and pricing. Have had many issues regarding shopping carts and email downtime. If you ask an explicit question you never get an answer. Example how long has this service been down? They will never tell you. It tooks days to resolve an issue. Stay clear of them. |

I'm not usually one to leave comments, but I'd like to share my experience in hopes that it will prevent someone else from going through what I've been dealing with the past several days. I'm very disappointed in Lypha. I was lured in by their professional-looking site and their great promises. Too bad they can't deliver. I give them credit for fairly fast support response time (usually around an hour); however, when you do get a response it's useless and filled with "make the customer think everything is okay" babble.
They "lost" my database twice in 7 days. The first time, they told me there had never been a db on my domain. After showing them proof to the contrary, they restored from a backup ... that was about a week old. I lost close to a thousand posts and a couple dozen members of the forum I run. Less than a week later, the same thing happened again. They restored it for the same backup, now 2 weeks old. Luckily I'd learned my lesson the first time and was making regular data-only backups myself and could restore all but a few posts.
When I demanded an explanation after the second incident, I was told that the database disappeared because of a "MySQL server crash" and that they'd taken steps to prevent it from happening again. I did some searching after the second incident and found numerous reports of disappearing databases on sites hosted by Lypha. I have no doubt this will be happening again and I'm working to get my site moved to a new host ASAP. |
