I was with dr2 then Mesopia (actually Netbunch.com). I have a small account,only pay U$ 20/year for 100 Mb in disk and unlimited subdomains, databases, etc. My experience with this host provider have been very good.
All my site is building in flash, php and Mysql. My email system is "Hivemail", it uses php and mysql for storing all data (messages, users, passwords, etc). I also use "flashblog", it's a blog in flash, php and mysql. I have installed a wikipedia (php and mysql) and phpboard (php and mysql). I have more than 120 users and in 3 years i've never used thecnical support. May be I´m a lucky guy.
My only problem now is the space, for that reason i´m reading reviews to find a new cheap host. |

Absolutely horrible. I bought a domain and it had an error right from the beginning. Every time I contacted support, if I DID get through, they would come up with a different excuse why it didn't work. No phone support; you can leave a message, and nothing will come from that. Online chat, when available proves to be pointless, and they will close the chat if they feel they've answered you to what they feel to be satisfactory, even though they may not even touch the issue. In using the forums, I have been in touch with the owner for months, and despite the higher frequency of response, am nowhere. It has now been MANY months since I purchased my domain, and it still isn't working. The owner offered me a refund, which I am still trying to get from him. I have a strong feeling that the switches/rebrandings from DR2 to Mesopia, and now to Netbunch is to flee from their trail of unhappy customers. |

Don't use mesopia, they are slow to respond to support tickets, and their servers are overloaded. |

For those using php/mysql scripting, don't use mesopia.com. They are slow, and they change the configurations so often that you need to always check to make sure your dynamic web pages are working. Of course they don't let you know when they make major changes (not surprising though, I probably wouldn't do so myself ;) |

I had the worst experience in the world with these guys! They never responded to my tech support requests AND, be careful about registering a domain name with them! I took them up on the offer to register a domain for me when I signed up and was upset to find out that, not only did they charge me for the registration, but they registered themselves as the registrant/owner of the domain (and in all the contact fields) entirely ignoring my information. They now own my domain! I am trying to get my money back from them but, of course, they're not responding to my support requests. |

My review is for dr2.net, but since they have merged with Mesopia, I guess Mesopia has to take the blame. I've hosted multiple sites with dr2.net in the past year, and I must say that I will probably stay away from them in the future. The pricing is decent, but not worth the uptime and email trouble. Dr2.net has been having reliability problems for a while now, and have stated that they are focusing on imporving their support and reliability. We'll see how the merger affects their current customers, which hopefully I won't be in the near future. C- in my gradebook. |

I Have no issues with them apart from there support ticket system but if you go to there support forum you get an answer within an hour normally |

Mesopia was the worst company in hosting - everday they had a problem with their dns and nothing was working correctly - they never replied to my problems and when they did the messages did not make sense. |

1) Never registered the "free" domain name that came with the account
2) Constant issues with DNS not resolving (not my fault, my domain works fine through Hostdime now thank you very much)
3) Never responded to request for prorated refund since there services are too unstable for me to offer (reseller account).
Check their forums, I haven't touched my account there in two months and they are apparently still having DNS problems. I find that to be unbelievable. I'm out ~$120 because of there poor reliablity. |

Mesopia.com provides great support. Everytime I've needed support it has been dealt with promptly. The uptime is well over 99.8% every month and any server issues are communicated well in advance. I would recommend Mesopia.com to anyone looking for a quality web host at an affordable price. |

While mesopia are a cheap, and semi-decent webhost, there are a few things that arent up to scratch. Most noticeably is their support, which is lousy. Their helpdesk ticketing system doesnt work (it loses support tickets), and they take their time replying to problems..It can be a couple of days before you recieve a basic reply to a problem (most of the time their reply is "this is now fixed", about 2 days after its been fixed!) and they rarely answer all questions you ask in the support ticket. Also their reliability is questionable, the hosting of the site has never gone down completely, but certain parts dont work some of the time. For example their MySQL database system has problems which means that the databases are inaccessable - in my time with mesopia this has happened EVERY MONTH and has taken hours to fix. Recently the exact same problem has happened only days apart! I dont recommend mesopia to anyone, infact their service is so bad im now looking for a new host. |
