I’m currently with their Cloud Servers plan and everything seems great so far. The price, the uptime and server responsiveness are all recommended. Definitely one of the best in unmanaged hosting.
Their Cloud Sites is somewhat expensive for me right now, so no clue how good or bad is it. But the reviews I found on the Web seems mixed with positive and negative ones. However, there’s merits that I can see from them that are not found elsewhere such as:
1. The support goodness backed by RackSpace
2. Linux and Windows hybrid hosting
I may stay with them for a few months or so to see if it survives with all my sites that are for now hosted by another hosting company. No clue at all what the hell 10k computing cycles can do until you try it.
Fantastic. True they had some growing pains but every new company does. What they are doing is still a very new technology. Not many other companies offer this. Their support is beyond any out there. That is a fact. LIVE TECH SUPPORT via phone or chat. 24/7. Plus you can run windows right along side of linux. No one offers that.
Downtime is pretty much a non issue. last two months equalled less than 2 hours downtime.
Avoid mosso like the plague. The sales pitch of cheap clustered hosting sounds good, until your sites all go down for 6 hours at a time, ruining your day/weekend and possibly your business or career. Their support is good, but they are extremely small and their infrastructure is simply unstable. To see for yourself, check their status blog (http://status.mosso.com/) and pay attention to the frequency and length of serious problems. Their forums are full of angry customers who are bailing right and left, for good reason. You get what you pay for, and at mosso that isn't much.
