I'm unhappy with my entire experience with PowerVPS and i will try to explain myself with my horrible english.
They say they don't outsource support. How do you call it when you assign to people not present at your office or at your data-center ?
Every time i asked from their so called 24 hours chat assistance only thing i ever take as an response is we will notify the support team , they will update you in the ticket , bla bla bla...
Not only they outsource the support to but they are unable to face a potential problem. Whats the meaning of your live chat if all they do is to "transfer" my requests to support guys?
Why not email them directly to the ticket? This is more a parody of chat support rather a real chat support
I have one server down for almost a day and they respond to my ticket after about 5 hours that they intend to forward to Parallels. How many times i have seen this scenario i really don't know.Every time and i mean every time they have to face a complex issue their typical response is we will forward to parallels.
Ok you cant deal with a problem. Why you kept me waiting so long with the server down for hours just to tell me you will forward it to parallels? They open a ticket there and they waiting sometimes between 12 hours - 1 day for a reply.
Why is that? Cause they don't want to spend money oh phone support to them? ( cost for 1 phone incident: $19.95 ) Why bother and waste money. Some time eventually server will be up...
I have many vps with them (although i have transfer a lot to another hosting companies cause of their bad support ) and i can assure you that every time i face a complex issue my server was down for a unacceptable long period of time.
Want to loose money and time? Try them.Only don't tell that you weren't warned about it
These guys are just proffessionals. They can face everything and on time. The most stable VPS provider i have ever seen. We've been doing hosting business for over 4 years and have tested 3 VPS providers. If you can afford their prices, which are a little expensive (their job is a big pay off though). Now we are planning on buing the second VPS from them. Their plans are a little tight but if you don't standardise the VPS plans then you cannot work as a provider. We know it because we experience it in our own company. Well Done PowerVPS and keep up the good job.
The best VPS hardware available after checking 50+ VPS providers ( Dual Xeon and Dual Opteron based servers with 10K SCSI HDīs using RAID 5 or 10, Equinix datacenter ), full managed VPSīs with excellent and fast support, excellent uptime ( one of my VPS now has un uptime of 199 days :) :), daily and secure backups ( with RAID6 ), 4 panels availables, Linux & Windows VPSīs, Virtuozzo Power Panel, ....
Disadvantages ... Power-2 VPS plan is more expensive compared with other providers with the same specs, and I can add disk, bandwidth or IPīs to any plan ... but no more guaranteed RAM :( ... when they can offer a little more customized VPS, will be extremely very difficult to surpass them.
I prefer to have several isolated VPS instead of one with more resources, and also I like to have several "isolated providers" by security :) ... but Power is where I have installed my master domain.
Why didn't I find these guys sooner? I just moved to them after a total nightmare with Equivity, and everything went great. It's now been about 3 weeks. Every ticket I have submitted has been answered and solved very quickly. My VPS comes secured and optimized out of the box. I couldn't ask for better support and knowledge.
I also found out that they are in the same data centre as Yahoo, Google, Microsoft and other big players. Why they don't use this as a selling feature I don't know. It impressed me, and also shows in speed and reliability. These guys are the real deal!
Excellent in vds/vps services, they are really profesional and they know what they are doing.
Staff support is really awesome.
Their plans arenīt cheap but they have great quality/price.
If you want a reliable host go with them.
