My site of four years has been down several weeks and I can not contact RCTHOST to learn what they will/can do to get it back up from backup. I fear they do not have a backup and will just let me dangle in space. Till now RCTHOST has been OK for what I use it for but it is often down and often mail is lost or just not forwarded.

My sites have been down for nearly a week (yet again) after they switched to new servers. They have even managed to lose all 3 of my sites, and now say they have no backup. Completly useless, avoid like the plague I plan to bring this lot down as they are slowly managing to ruin my business. Shocking.
During the first 6 months or so of using this host, service was pretty good, after that, service started to crap out, atleast on the server I am on. Beta is the worst server they have. As of writing this.. it is down and has been down for a little over 5 hours that I know of.
I do NOT recommend this host to others, do not go by price like I did, go by service and support.
So far we have had good experience with the company with minor down time and price has been real good for all the features we get. No complaints really. I just wished they offered dedicated server plans.
I have been with RCThost for over a year and most of the time my site has been up but more and more of late there are more outages and for longer periods, the latest being for nearly a week.My site is online but i have not been able to upload to it for about 10 days.Their reason is problems with the server and now we're informed that they are moving to a new server.If i was running a business from this host i would be dead in the water by now.Fortunately i am not but others should beware.Their statement "Are you tired of low cost hosts who lack in support, uptime, and features? We are a different kind of low cost hosting provider! " should INCLUDE themselves.Also they had a forum for other users to use. The forum exists but the only people able to use it are RCT. Finding a host is hit and miss but the old adage you get what you pay for still rings true!
