Great web-hosting company. The control panels always work, everything's up. Good communication and support. I've had a couple of sites hosted here - and the pricing is very very competitive.
Top notch. Seth and the RWH team respond to my PITA requests with speed and understanding and I've gotten them to make changes to things I've screwed up on my VPS. I don't think I'd ever look for another host for my vBulletin forum, Wordpress blog and static html site at any price.
Since we've grown over the years, my VPS has morphed into something that's so customized I can't even find it in the available packages... 20 GB storage, 2 GB RAM, etc.
Great people and great service. I think the only downtime I've had was when they moved, (I was informed ahead of time) and when I mucked up my memory usage and started swapping to death.
I've been with RealWebHost for over 6 years. I wish I could have given them 10 out of 5, as they've ALWAYS gone out of their way to render service and support well beyong the call of duty.
RealWebHost is quite reliable. Tech support can be slow and sometimes it takes a few iterations to solve an issue. The one negative experience happened when our term had expired: they used an out-of-date email to remind us to renew; when we reached our expiration date, they simply turned off our service. Had they tried the alternate email/phone, we would have had a better experience. To their credit, when we discovered the problem, we called them on a Saturday night, and they restored our server within minutes.
The first positive for RWH is the owner, Joey Moses, is very available on any issue. I swear the man rarely sleeps. If there is an issue he needs to address you will genrally hear from him in a few hours.
The second big positive is their tech support. In almost all instances you get a response from a tech in less than 1/2 hour. These techs are knowledgeable engineers who can diagnose and solve most issues quickly. Even issues that are not strictly hosting related, such as configuring a package, or a script issue, they will help if they can. Many hosts wouldn't even respond to such questions.
I was pleased with their pricing, speed, and reliability.
Their hosting packages include WHM and Cpanel, which allows you to control most aspects of your account easily on your own.
The cons:
I ssemed to have more problems with hackers than I ever had with other hosts. When these problems happened I would find out from users that my site was displaying an ugly "This account has been suspended" message. RWH made no effort to inform me before suspending my site, they just suspended it. The first time this happened I contacted support and they turned it back on. Then I got a nasty message from the owner saying if I ever unsuspended a domain he'd turned off I'd be banned. The next time it happened, months later, again, my main web site was suspended without notice, I learned about it through my visitors.
If I was a server expert I'd be running my own. I run a small advertiser-supported web site and host a few accounts. Being suspended with a chance to correct the issue made me look very bad. On top of that I didn't appreciate being treated like I was doing this on purpose. In both cases the problem originated from packages that came with the hosting account.
In both cases they offered help resolve the issue, but only after I contacted them. You can have a great experience with RHW, but if your web site is critical to your business you might want to do some more research on hosting companies. The attitude is totally uneccessary.
What would be helpful would be some documention on hacker issues, how to prevent them and what to do when you're attacked.
I would give RWH 5 stars if not for the hacker/suspension issues and attitude over it.
They are excellent. Ive been there just over 1 year now and I am very satisfied. As my site grows they have moved me to different servers and helped me through any problems. There support is the best there on any problems very fast, not some other hosts I had. You deal with Joey first hand alot of the time. Any issues Ive had were resolved right away. Thanks for the great work.

I have used for several years now. The reason I am writing this is because I want to share with you a positive experience, and if this somehow benefits YOU then all the better.
First, I am both a professional Web developer and site owner with experiences from small hosting companies to large ones. In my dealings with various clients and their needs has placed me into many different scenarios with many different objectives.
While I am tempted to share the more distasteful engagements – that would take away from the point of this post which is to provide a good review.
After an exhausted search for a decent host for my OWN web sites, I was referred to a company called Real Web Host (www.realwebhost.com). I was reluctant at first because I never heard of them, nonetheless, trusted the source that provided me with their information.
I have now been with them for three years where I run my own personal sites. I haven’t a SINGLE complaint about this provider -- in fact, the reason I am writing this is because I am THAT pleased with their service. And perhaps, this is my small way of thanking them.
Whether some conflict I created of my own, or a simple problem I need help with – they have been excellent both in their support and their response time.
The owner there is very personable and is very much involved with his company.
For anyone looking for a provider for small, medium or large hosting plans… as a professional in the industry with over 12 years experience, these are the folks I recommend.
This place has been a huge dissapointment. The worst part is the sickening amount of downtime and slooooow servers...and the fact that they won't even admit there's a problem. Let's see...then there's the time their tech guy (Vinu...not kidding either) deleted an entire PHP based website I had been configuring all day...without asking, before a backup had been made. Oh and just FYI, the owner of the company puts all domain names in his own name, so you have to email him personally to get anything done. Oh and to top it all off, their web hosting reseller prices are really high....even if they didn't suck.
Bottom line, this is the most unprofessional host I've ever used, terrible service/downtime. Stay away like the plague.
I have been constantly surprised and impressed by the customer service at RealWebHost...in addition to top-notch hardware and very competitive prices, they have ALWAYS answered my calls and gotten a resolution in minutes or hours instead of days....We've been with them for 16 months and in that time, the server has only gone down once...the power supply blew out and they had the the PSU swapped out, and the machine tested back online with 2.5 hours....That is service!
We started out okay, but then they began to have problems with the server that they couldn't seem to get fixed. When I would contact Joey about it, he copped an attitude. They move us to a new server but then our site ran sluggish and slow. It eventually got old and we figured they just couldn't handle a busy vBulletin forum so we left.
I recently left realwebhost after only 3 months' hosting with them. Their reliability leaves quite a bit to be desired. I run a vbulletin site and almost every day would have a period of time ranging from a few minutes to close to an hour where mysql was unavailable.
My hosting was also moved twice in that 3 months to different servers, requiring DNS changes which caused outages for users until the DNS propagated.
When I contacted them to cancel my account, it was cancelled without any identity verification at all.
I have been with Real Web Host for a little over a year now, and the service is as excellent today as it was the day I signed up. They always response quickly (within minutes!) and are available via instant messenger whenever I need to ask them a quick question. I can't recommend them enough!
I have been with a few web hosts in my time but none of them compare to RHW.
RWH are an excellent all round host, good value for money and excellent customer support.
If you ever have a problem then you can be assured that RWH will have it fixed in the quickest possible time and they even go out of there way to help with problems that technically are not theirs and there are not many hosts that will go to those lengths for there customers.

Easy setup and everything has worked great so far. I set up my service on a Friday afternoon and my account was set up by early that evening. This may not seem that big of a deal, but I was told the company was moving their offices that weekend. I do not remember the Tech's name that I spoke to, but I thank him.
RWH has to be one of the best if not the best web hosts on the internet today.
There customer support is excellent and they go out of there way to help you and solve any problems you have, they even try to offer help with problems that are not necessarily theres, to me that shows what a great hosts they are.
RWH also offer excellent value for money with lost of great features for what I consider a very reasonable price.

I get nothing, no discount, anything, for this but feel that praise is due where, praise is due. Realwebhost earned that praise a long time ago.
I can not say enough good things about RealWebHost.net The support I have gotten has been second to no one! I use vbulletin for my software. When I was installing some hacks, I created some problems because I made an error in my coding. The webmaster helped fix my problems and got me back up and running.

Our site has never encountered slow-down nor has it ever been offline without explanation. This is a common pitfall with other server companies as they tend to lump sum huge groups of web owners onto one disk and never secure any of those same web sites, which usually results in a compromise of your site's valuable files and data with very simple means of reveling this data.
In short, you will never find a better company on the net for your web hosting needs.
I have been hosting my website with RWH ever since it opened. I can't tell how good this hosting company is and how great the support is. One major thing that other companies lack for sure is support, and with RWH that is not a problem. As for their plans, the cost is good for what they have to offer, they through in a lot of extra stuff in the cpanel area which is very useful, for example, fantasico, which let's you install many useful scripts by filling out a small form and hitting a submit button. Overal I highly recommend this host to anyone.
RealWebHost is a very solid host, with great customer service. Reliability, in my experience, has generally been good, with a few interruptions here and there. The only reason that I would not sign up with them is the price. Although they are not the most expensive host out there, there are definitely more inexpensive options for the basic (500MB or less) user.
Sorry cannot give 10/5 here for support, shame. I cannot speak highly enough of realwebhost.net. I have total of 3 sites and 2 forums with them and backup and support is quite literally SUPREME.

I have been building websites for years, and have gone through many web hosts. This is the first which has not once yet let me down. The personal attention I have received is astonishing, given the number of clients any web host must have; I have received personal phone calls from the staff whenever issues were too complicated to work out through normal channels; I have received prompt service and advice; they regularly send out notices about possible service issues and equipment upgrades; they do a good job of keeping their terrific suite of add-on scripts up to date and maintained. I am very happy.
RWH is most often very responsive and accomodating. They have very good pricing and repond to my requests for new or updated services like php5 mysql and Imagemagick. Let's hope they keep the strong record going!
OK - anyone out there looking for ease of service and exceptional customer support, try realwebhost. I've been at directnic for 8 years or so and needed to update my webpage with some forntpage extensions, etc. which were not supported on directnic servers.
Did some good research I thought and chose IPowerWeb to host our business page. I knew it could be a hassle to change hosts but after 24 hours - 4 password resets due to corrupt files??, frontpage that couldn't be loaded, having to load my site via FTP, site was up for maybe 30 minutes, then down for 8 hours and this was just at the beginning of my switching. I thought not a good sign.
Came over to webhostjury and read endless reviews. Decided prior to any more headaches I would switch to realwebhost. All I can say is my expectations of having my webpage back up in 72 hours was surpassed. I was contacted quickly via email, I changed my nameservers, uploaded my frontpage website within 30 minutes and my site was online in 1 hour. I couldn't believe the exceptional speed and EASE all this took - thanks so much Joey. Customer service today is lacking and I thank Joey for bringing it back here!
I've been using realwebhost since last summer and they're fantastic. I went with them because I needed a dedicated server and their prices were a LOT better than anybody else. Plus, when I called them with questions, they actually picked up the phone. They keep everything running smoothly and any time I have questions I just AIM them and someone is there waiting. I haven't noticed downtime since I've been with them.
I run big websites so I've had some bad experiences in hosting... two companies in a row kicked me off because I was using to much of their server resources and it didn't matter to them how good a customer I was, they just decided they didn't need my business. realwebhost actually values their customers and has worked with me to supply whatever I need.
When my previous web host with whom I was extremely happy, was bought out, I was leery about whether or not to sign up with Real Web Host, a company I knew nothing about. After all, I run a business where online storage is critical to my business' success. If I don't have a good host; I don't have a business, it's as simple as that.
I had heard nothing but good things about RWH from my previous host and was assured of the same extremely high level of service. After hesitating a little, I decided to take the plunge and sign up with them, and...I'm glad I did.

The web host I'd been using was going downhill fast. Although they had increased space and bandwidth, customer service was unresponsive to problems, going from bad to worse, even denying there were problems, inspite of evidence to the contrary.
I had put out a feeler for a new host through WebHostingTalk. Joey Moses from RealWebHost was the first to respond, by phone. After discussing my needs, he worked out a plan just for me. I visited their website, browsed their forum, did searches for anything about their service. All was good. Although I received a dozen responses from other companies, I chose RealWebHost. And I'm a happy camper.
The few times I've had problems, response has been quick, and fixes effective. They've got an active forum, and a ticket-based help system. The response time can be measured in minutes, not hours. Everyone is friendly. Recently their data center suffered a disastrous power outage. We were kept informed on what happened.
I am very happy with RealWebHosting, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Pricing was good and the account was setup promptly with everything I needed. Any questions I had were answered within a couple of hours.
I only had a few problems with reliability but the owner worked with me to resolve them. The problems were very circumstantial and never reoccured.
I've tried a few web hosts but few work with their customers (or even respond to their customers' emails). I would recommend this service to anyone, from people just wanting a small personal site to business setting up database driven sites where features and security matter.

Wow I just read some reviews from other RWH customers and I realized I am not the only happy customer. Like they all said response is VERY quick no matter what kind of question you have. If it's a tech question or if you need any kind of help they will help you in any possible way. I was very surprised when I received a phonecall few minutes after I filled a trouble ticket. They even use forums which they monitor and answer right away so that means they have nothing to hide.
They let you know in advance of any maintance they have to perform and I've only experienced very little downtime during the 5 months I've been with them. Keep up the good work.

They've hosted my site for nearly 3 months now. The site is always accessible; the price is quite reasonable given the plethora of features; customer support is excellent - quick response time and friendly people. I've tried many different web hosts and RWH is my favorite so far.

Excellent overall service and customer support. There was a time of instability a few months back - of course at a critical time for my business - which is why they got a 4 instead of 5 for reliabiity and overall rating. Joey Moses - the email face of RWH - simply rocks and is most helpful.
I measure the level of reliability in a web hosting company by the amount of time I spend worrying about service, downtime, slow uploads, etc....... Apparently, the last time, and only time, I worried about RealWebHost was right after signing up. I always worry after signing up with yet another unknown hosting entity, which is silly, as it's usually the time that hosting companies are most reliable...... until, of course, when the nightmares begin. I'm happy to say, I never think or worry about RealWebHost. The only time I do is upon receiving emails advising me of server upgrades, maintenance, possible outages (none that I've noticed), etc. Basically, keeping me informed. My webs are always up with fast uploads. Tech support is excellent; quick answers along with technical assistance. A supportive staff that treats every dumb question (I had quite a lot) with standard professionalism. I'm extremely satisfied with the level of service that RealWebHost offers and would heartily recommend them to anyone considering a reliable and affordable hosting company.
After many bad experiences with 2-3 other "big" hosting providers (my favourite: my site was down for two weeks (zero hits per day), after which Yahoo told me "no it wasn't down, it had degraded performance", yeah...), I'm now a happy camper with Real Web Hosting.
RWH isn't perfect either, but they deliver on their promises, when something goes wrong they are honest about it, and have great customer services by people who know what they talk about, instead of some helpdesk ticket-driven dumbo's.
No complaints whatsoever. Had credit card issues (on my end) during signup, Support called me immediately to clear things up. I've gone through several hosts over the past few years (seems to happen alot when you are cheap), but I've started consolidating my sites with RealWeb. I have no doubts that Joey and RealWeb will be around for awhile.
They are the first and only host I have used. Zero reason for even thinking about going elsewere. Excellent support, they respond very quickly to any and all questions even in the middle of the night. They have never left me hanging. System problems are negligable and those that do occur are jumped on and quickly fixed. I have no hesitation recommending them. They deliver what they promise.
I was a bit sceptical about the support and service when I first switched to realwebhost after a bad experience with my first host. But that soon changed. The support is incredible, they are available 24 hours.
The site will sometimes be down for a few minutes (once in a month or so), but that is common.
I cannot say enough nice things about this service provider. They worked with me to answer all of my questions pre-sale. Their service and customer support is beyond any expectations.
An example: I wrote a CGI perl script to download information off of another site, parse the information, and display it on my site. Well I needed a perl module, that was not part of the standard perl distribution. I sent an email requesting this module be made available and within 1 hour it was, and I was notified that it was.
So far my experience has been very good with Real Web Host. I haven't had any problems, and Joey (the owner) has responded to each of my questions very promptly.
I transferred my domain to Real Web Host and everything was ready and moved within 48 hours. That's pretty darn fast, especially since it was over the weekend!

Webmaster gives top-notch support. Sometimes spotty connectivity to the SQL servers, but it is rare and to be expected of anyplace. Will stay here as long as the prices and service stay where they are.

May seem like too good of a review but it's true. I've been hosted by a handful of companies and RealWebHost is by far the most reliable and professional. Their customer service is top notch.

RealWebHost (RWH) is by far the best webhost out there right now. I had terrible experiences with previous webhosts, most of which was due to poor support. When I joined RWH, they treated me like a family. My site was moved over to their server very fast, and they helped with the move to ensure it was smooth. They took the time to give me personal attention, which went a long ways with me. The thing is, they don't use canned responses. I really like having a webhost, who you can talk to the "top dog", and call him by his first name. His name is Joey Moses, and goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure customer satisfaction. They have Forums, where you can ask questions before you buy, talk to current customers, and talk one on one with staff members. It also features a Alerts forum, so you can subscribe to it and be alerted of any possible server issues. (Though they will personally email you if anything big is going to happen.) When something breaks, they immediately tell customers what is going on, and continue to update the progress of the issue as it is resolved. Once it is resolved, they provide a full write up of what happened. The uptime is amazing. And best of all, you can order Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual or Annual packages. Therefore, no more signing in to a one year contract (prepaid). I'll always be with RWH. Definately a five star host.
This is an awesome webhost. My site is always up and has a incredible ammount of bandwidth. You can not go wrong with Realwebhost.net. Their support is amazing, they even go so far to have screen names on MSN, Yahoo, AOL Instant Messenger for support.
I've had my fair count of hosts. Globat was my first, but it overcramps it's servers to badly it's pitiful. The downtime was disgusting. At RealWebHost I have YET to have downtime and everything I run is as fast as I can imagine it to be.
The support has always been excellent with Real Web Host. The support is practically on MSN/AIM/ICQ every time I have needed something. The pricing is affordable, even to a student like me!
I have had some issues with reliability, most of which were solved on their own within 15 minutes. Those that lasted longer I posted on their forums and received a response and fix extremely fast.
I would recommend this host based solely on customer service. They will alert members if something goes down by posting to their message board. Most problems are fixed quickly.
Two big keys: they have an actual telephone line that is actually answered, and they even have IM capability. I had an issue with my site about two months ago, and I was able to IM them, describe the problem, and they had in fixed in 10 minutes.
For those that have played the hosting game, you'll know how unusual all of the above is.
Great support. I usually do it through MSN Messenger which works great but phone support works well too. Any change or anything you need is usually done in a flash!

Real Web Host was recommended to me, and I thank them. Their pricing is good, and the support is excellent. It seems that every time I go on MSN to ask a question, the support guy is on. The staff of Real Web Host is very professional, and have the courtesy to send an e-mail every time a downtime, upgrade etc. is in the works. They also offer an affiliate program and credit you with $10 every time someone signs up through you.
