Please stay away from this company. I have searched the web over and over for other reviews of them and no one has put up any information about them. Although they TRY to be good, they are not. It started when they bought out my old hosting company Quadrahost.com. They shut down quadrahost WITHOUT INFORMING me. I experienced major down time and had to figure out on my own what I had to do (which was as simple as changing the servers to point to their, BUT THEY NEVER TOLD ME WHAT THEY WERE DOING). Their 800#, and live chat is non-functional, they have 2 major crashes in the last 2 months, major downtime. To this day my website data and emails are lost. I have moved to Bluehost.com and hope that SSXHOST can still recover my emails (AT THE VERY LEAST). Their customers service is slow to respond, treat me like I SHOULD KNOW MORE THAN I DO, and very poor to GET TO THE PROBLEM AT HAND AND FIX IT, like restoring my emails, which may now be lost. One service rep had the audacity to tell me not to type in "CAPS" because it is hard to read. After losing ALL MY INOFORMATION, the last thing they should be worried about is me typing in caps. |

Ever since ssxhost bought quadrahost (which was my original host), there have been constant downtimes. Then, around the end of August, their servers went down completely. For 2 weeks there was no word from ssxhost, and no way to contact them as their site was down as well.
I went and got another host, and when ssxhost came back online (3 weeks after the crash), I emailed them to cancel my account. A week later I still hadn't received a response. What really burns my arse is that I was charged for another month of hosting at this time. I didn't realize I was on recurrent billing, and the money was automatically taken from my Paypal account. I wasn't expecting this, and happened to have only $3 in my account at the time, so Paypal withdrew $2 from my bank account to cover the cost.
Grr. So I've been emailing the sales department trying to get a refund, and it seems they're ignoring me. The toll-free line is always busy, the support link isn't working, in fact most of the links on ssxhost.com are still broken. What a sorry excuse for a hosting company. They shouldn't even be in business. |

SSXHost helped me with everything I needed! I always called them and asked for support, and they were always online. When they were not online, I sent an email to them, and they responded in a 1/2 hour. There was some small downtime at first, but they said the will move me to a new server If i wanted to, and I said it was okay, and they did that within 6 hours! After then, the uptime, was beautiful, and support was still always the best around!
