Seth Baumgartner talks the good talk. He does not provide 24/7 tech support as advertised. His idea of proving that is to have a way to email him. He boasts a 99.9% up-time, yet the tracking site I use indicates that he is barely breaking 88%. Sites with SV1hosting.com or sv1.us tend to go offline without any notice, and they can stay that way for a week or more. Any attempts to contact Seth are fruitless, as he does not return email until he is good an ready to do so. This last service outage was the last straw. My site has been offline for the better part of a week. Not only that, Seth's sites have been offline as well. I finally found a working phone number for him, so I called him at 5 A.M. to find out what was wrong. His response was, "It's 5 O'clock in the morning!" I said, "Yeup, and I've been offline for over 96 hours now." I also told him that I was taking him up on his offer of 24/7 customer support. He told me that the site was offline for upgrades, at least he says he thinks that is why. After a few more phone calls, I determined that Seth has not paid his bill, therefore his accounts are suspended. Perhaps Seth will awaken to the ways of conducting business professionally and eventually run a quality hosting service. As for me, I shall not return. |

What started out as a decent host turned into a mess. Web site quit working for days at a time. Support emails only produced 'we are working on it' replies. At no time was I ever given a notice or explanation of what the problem was. The site has been down completely for weeks now. Live and learn I guess. No way would I go with this host again or recommend them to anyone. |

People BEWARE!!!
Horrible Web hosting provider, will NOT reply to your emails, and for sure they don't have any telefone customer support.
Don't waiste your money and time!
My website was constantly down, and I had this hosting for almost 3 years. I mean it was really DOWN for more than 24-36 hours.
Finally in July my web site was down for 7(!!!) DAYS!!!
After multiple emails to customer service and few support tickets it worked for couple days and quit completely, until now, July 23.
It means my webhosting does not for for more than 10 days.
They charge me monthly fee, and no service at all, no one replies to my emails.
I already switched to andother company INTEGRA-NET, and I am very happy with them. It is little bit more expensive, but I save my nerves and time and I now my clients will not have problems visiting my web site.
People, FORGET about SV1 - the worst web hosting provider company!!! |

CRAP went down for 5 days, came back up for a week, now has been down for 6 days, no answers to emails, ignoring me, i have no idea what happening, and i cannot do a bloody thing about it!! GRRRRR |

I have been with them for over a year, and I can't complain about anything. There was one small hickup with service about a couple weeks ago stemming from the Hurricane that hit florida - but they transfered my account to a new machine at a new datacenter, and downtime was very minimal. Support requests are fast, and you can't beat the prices!

We've used this service for at least two years for many sites, both professional and family. Our corporate site is hosted there. SV1 has provided great service and reliability. This is not to say that we've not had problems over the years, but they've been resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. For the record, we have also used Aussie Hosts and GoDaddy and find SV1 at least as good, if not better than both, especially in pricing. |
