Absolutely THE WORST customer service!! No direct contact, you have to submit a ticket, you MAY get an answer or not. If you call, you have to leave a message and they MAY get back to you. Their "CHAT" is a joke. If they don't like your question, they don't answer or they disconnect when they get to a point they decide they don't like. When I decided to leave and go to another host, HOST GATOR :), they WOULD NOT release my domain name, now the domain name has expired and I have to pay more to get it back! (It's been two months and I still haven't heard back from them!) This happened a couple of times with different names!! I had tried to contact them MULTIPLE times and when they knew it was me, they would suddenly "drop the call" or "end" the chat. Extremely, unprofessional! They make it seem like they are a big company, personally I think it is only 3 or 4 punks "running" the show. Don't bother with this host!!!
Not a good experience. Our site goes down a lot. Once for over 24 hours. Last night the site went down and was down for 14 hours. When I contact the support, they just sound annoyed and eager to be off the phone with me. And if I call again sometimes they don't answer. You have to send an email and get a tracking ID number before they have any clue what you are talking about. But they are affordable...even though you definitely get what you pay for.
Their technical support is terrible. Email was down for 4-6 months. Their claim for money back guarantee, is a lie. They claimed they would fix my problems and went on to tell me that they would give me my money back if I gave them a chance but they did not keep their word. Their support over the phone is terrible, if you try to cancell they send you to voicemails.
Server goes down about 3 times a week average.. NOT FTP or mail services, just HTTP!
No monitoring of server outages.
Symbolic links added by their admins not working, no advanced warning.
Massive delays within their own cluster - up to 1400 ms from their edge system to server.
Very poor spam filtering, no adjustments possible to filtering (either 'on' or 'off').
Human Support can only be contacted by phone between 9-7, mon-fri, Pacific Time
Emails to Support often eaten by their own spam filtering, hence many are not received by Support Group.
Repeated commitments to move site to another server never completed.
No way to retrieve email user/pass or mail list info (You are charged $25.00 if you want this data).
