Not very good host... I purchased it for one year offer... It took 15 days to transfer a .com domain... And after some problems with my credit card they billed me five times... I had to cancel the receipts on my bank and pay agian...
The host is quite limited, don't use it if your page has plenty of visits because it won't work...
The only great thing is the Phone support, it's free and you speak to professional staff that solves (or explains where is the problem) quick and patiently.

If you are thinking of using or are already are using Strato Hosting to register or host your domains, please read this post as it will save you lots of money and hassle.
I want to warn you, my fellow domain registrars, so you can avoid the hassle that i'm currently going through with strato-hosting.co.uk.
I have approx 100 domain names registered with 6 different hosts. So im no amateur to the domain game.
I recently queried an outstanding payment notice I received from strato-hosting.co.uk because it appeared that they were trying to charge me for 2 domain names that were no longer registered with them. Bear in mind that I have paid every strato-hosting.co.uk invoice faithfully and reliably for over 2 years.
Anyway, even though i was in communication with Strato Hosting they took it upon themselves to lock my entire account inc all other domains that i had already paid for and also prevent me from paying the outstanding amount which was approx £12. They then referred my outstanding invoice of £12 to a dodgy German debt collection agency called Intrum Justitia (intrum.com) who immediately slapped $40 euros onto the invoice of £12 for the rotten dis-service of sending me a threatening letter which in essence said 'According to German Law you are ordered to pay Intrum Justitia and Strato' or its off to court for you.
So there you go, the example above is how NOT to treat customers, i.e. increase their invoice 300% and threaten them for the pleasure.
AVOID STRATO HOSTING AT ALL COSTS!!! They are a TERRIBLE and cold company to do business with.
This message is the consequence for the their terrible customer service. Take heed.
Transfer all of your domains away from Strato Hosting ASAP.
DO NOT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If I had to write a full opinion and a break down of the poor services it would be the length of a short novel.
They have been unable to take payment for the services from me and have admitted they have a problem with payments even though I have changed my card details three times, they instantly put you on to a new 12 month contract without notifying you that the previous contract is about to expire, they hold you to that contract and will threaten you with legal action if you don’t pay up, they insist that you fax over bank statements that they are not privy too, they refuse to speak to me via email, they have issued me with letters stating they are going to take legal action against me even though they it is there fault they can’t take payment, when you speak to them (if you are lucky enough to get through) it is near impossible to get a straight answer from them and will do their up most to fob you off.
I have not just one site with them, but others that I update for other people……………………….as of yesterday all the sites have gone down, you can’t get on to their own site to contact them, I can’t receive emails and their so called “24 Hours free phone number” is closed from 8pm or you just can’t get through.
Does anyone know what is going on? It has been 48 hours since complete communication has broken down?
It took over a month to get a domain name transferred. Most of the e-mails i received when i tried to contact them came back in German even though i contacted them in english.
Our website is currently down and has been all day.. our emails are down. 4 other sites hosted by our IT guy are down...
THEIR website is down.. their email support is down.. EVERYTHING is down. and has been all day.
Telephone support is non-existant at present.. over 30 minutes on hold listening to 'your call is important to us' 'someone will be with you shortly'.. which is pretty much how their telephone support always is. 4 times ive called them by phone. a total of several hours on the phone!!! only once did i ever get through and the guy completely messed up what i asked him to do and i ended up emailing them for 3 more weeks trying to fix it.
There is NO way of finding out why they are down or when they will come back up. NO backup status page.. nothing.
We have clients sending us mail we cant read or reply to.
We never had these kinds of difficulties with any other host. We only came here as we were with lycos before they stopped doing hosting services for 4 years and they recommended Strato. Its been a disaster for the 2 months since we joined them. Nothing has ever worked properly. And our site has been offline more than on.
For a start I'm pretty certain that the glowing reviews on this page are fake.
Strato are by far THE WORST HOST I have ever encountered, and possibly even the worst comapny in general. I curse the day I signed up for their service - it has given me nothing but grief.
Customer service is completely non-existent - NOT ONE of my emails was ever answered by this company during the time I was hosted with them.
I tried to cancel the account but these emails and calls were ignored. It was automatically renewed for another year (at a much higher price I might add). When I refused to pay for the bill I received a debt collection agency demand.
I would not recommend this host to my worst enemy. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I've been with Strato (the original german branch of the firm) since 2002, when I shared a hosting package with a friend, but soon we split and I got my own.
I never had any downtimes, except e-mail which had been down about 5 hours all together in that time. Three too many connetion problems all solved within 24 hours, the last time so fast I had not time to report it.
They answer quickly and polite to all inquiries, whether it is per phone or per e-mail. New domains are registered fast and available within a few days, the features are constantly upgraded. If a hosting package got more features, you profit from them even when they weren't available by the time you made your order.
Strato might seem a bit expensive, but with all the security, backlogs and other services they provide, it's absolutely worth it.
I changed my host to strato and am very happy with their service. they are offering a good deal for christmas - one yr free hosting. without that the products are still cheap. they are the second largest in germany - true german quality and reliable.
Extremely competitive prices of complete packages with inclusive domain, web space, traffic, databases and much more. They have great technical support which is totally free of cost.
I have been using them since a while and have never experienced any downtime. The connectivity is super.
Plus, there is a 60 day money back gurantee.
