Avoid at all costs.
This company sums up all that is bad about the internet.
I have paid for a junk filter that has never been activated despite numerous requests.
As they insist on keeping your credit card details on file, then they automatically renew your subscription without any notice or warning and when you challenge them about this they still refuse to co-operate.
IN MY OPINION THIS COMPANY IS OUT TO MAKE A QUICK QUID AND THEY TIE YOU UP IN THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
AVOID.

I have been with Streamline for a while now and think it is good value but now they seem (as of march 2009) to take around three days to reply to each message i send. so you can wait around 1-2 weeks to get down to the real issue. They may be cutting back on email support as it used to be good and take less than 24 hours as they claim. You don't know who you are dealing with as they end the message with 'StreamlineNet' and i have had a few replies with a rude tone to it which is not what you need when there is a problem. They seem to over pack there mysql databases which can slow things down a bit so overall i am not happy at the moment and hope they can resolve these issues soon as they are very easy to solve. The way forward for companies is to make it easier on the customer. If they do i will be back to say so... |

I've been with Streamline for 3 months or so, and am already leaving them due to their bad service. Although they may dominate Googles' adwords when you type "webhosts" - do not fall for it! Their service is infact not up to standard.
The limit of 2 MySQL databases lets you down. On top of that, you need to ASK them to create a new database, and you're not the root user! You're more a power user. If this isn't bad enough, the difficulties I had with the database are shockingly high, and the database was full of errors.
The next thing that lets Streamline down is the control panel. From it, you can choose only 8 options. Stat viewing costs an extra £10 per month! You can manage e-mail, password protected directories and the FTP password, that's about it.
Personally, my time with Streamline was not enjoyable. Their support was fast, but bad.
Do not be taken in by the low prices, VAT is not included in them, and your invoice doesn't even include it. Only when you look at your card statement do you find that you were ripped off.
I'd give Streamline 2.5/10 - only take it if you are on a tight budget! |
