Stay away from this hosting firm !!!
I had purchased a reseller account in oktober 2005. First everyting seems to be okay. The support was good and fast.
Last week I noticed that the server on which my reseller account was located was down. I tried to reach to helpdesk several times but no one reacts to my helpdesk tickets or my e-mails. After a week I still had no reaction and the server is still down. I decided to move the websites and leave unithosting.net
I total unithosting has about 6 different servers, currently 3 of them are down for at least a week.
I you host your websites by these guys my advise to you is: get another host.
UnitHosting is one of the WORST webhosts out there, don't be fooled, they may be really nice and have good support in the begining, after a while they start to ignore emails and provide really bad services, the servers are often down (i am on server 7 btw.) here, look at the siteuptime link (http://www.siteuptime.com/prem_statistics.php?Id=214&UserId=1977), their uptime is at 99.0% and they promise to be 99.8% too.
And you know what else they do, they change information on their website so even if they gurantee something, they can just change it and take out the service and when you go to complain, guess what, they just say they didnt even gurantee it.
LASTLY, I can tolerate all that except for one thing, We had two reseller accounts with them and wanted to centralize our payments with just one paypal account, after weeks of waiting for them to reply to our emails, we cancelled of the the paypal accounts and paid them twice with our "centralized" paypal account. GUESS WHAT. Two days later we get an email saying BOTH of our accounts were terminated, then they finally issued us a refund and cancelled BOTH OUR ACCOUNTS, with all our users/clients files in it, we are still suffering from this loss, so if you plan on hosting an important site, DO NOT USE UNITHOSTING AT ALL!!!
I have been with Unit hosting for almost a year and during the last few months things went south to the point that I just about walked away from my prepaid balance as I could not handle the stress of my sites being constantly down. Don't look for it in the forums as they have selectively removed listings from the forums detailing the painful experience that the users had. The stat times are Dred and can not be believed....you get what you pay for and my money is looking for a more reliable solution
