Verdict : I used to love these guys and now I want to poke my eye out every time i have to event see their name.

What used to be great service (quick response, problem solving) has turned into completely unreliable and unresponsive service. I have emailed the CEO many many times with ZERO response! At least once a day my site goes down. Ridiculous. Look elsewhere.

Verdict : My church started in 2004 and we looked for a good provider with decent workable aplications that would be consistant for the best price. We were disapointed in what we discovered. In fact we struggled with our hositng company for over a year and finally gave up and started to look around for a better solution. We found webHost4life and have not looked back. They have been consistant and reliable for the duration of our time with them. Outages are extreemly rare and most importantly, they have communicated with us if there were any concerns that they were addressing. We are very satisfied with Webhost's service and the quality of the product.

I am an on-the-side website developer. I have a few customers I've had for year. I was using a service that sounded like all the others. But they did not deliver. In fact, they finally were down for days and I couldn't get ahold of them... and I lost the customer. That was it. I searched and found webhost4life. I signed up for the MS Web 2008 Advanced Hosting Plan and they had me going in one day and after two more days when the changes took affect over the internet, I cancelled my old host service and it felt great. Webhost4life has fast/knowledgeable customer support, great service, and great up-time. And they even saved me money. You can't beat that! I love 'em.

Verdict : I have been with WH4L for many years, but recently started moving everything away from them. They have officially jumped the shark. Chat is a joke: "Sorry for the unconvienenced, please check back later". Just horrible in many ways. The helpdesk isn't much better, though on rare occasions you get someone who knows what they're doing. It takes weeks to fix an actual problem. I had a site that ran perfectly for 5 years, but then suddenly without so much as a peep from WH4L, all their servers were upgraded which forced me to scramble to get my code updated. I would have gladly done the upgrade if there had been some notice.

They oversell the heck out of every server, web, sql, and then expect that the user won't recognize when there aren't enough resources to function properly for the workload they are dumping on the servers.

I would NOT recommend this service to anyone else, though in the past I have recommended them to my clients. They've seen a good bit of business because of these recommendations, and though I entered their referral program, never saw a dime for my effort.

Email the CEO? Bull. I actually did have the displeasure of receiving an email from the CEO when I first started having problems. His customer service stance is worse than the support staff. All I got were empty suggestions, and then blame for the performance of the site due to bad coding. That site is on another host now, and it runs beautifully.

Run to another host if you're currently using them. If you're lucky enough to have seen these posts before climbing into bed with them, DON'T!!!!

Verdict : Customer service is absolutely horrendous. Chat live gives you an individual who 9 out of 10 times can't answer the question. This results in a trouble ticket to technical support who at best responds in half of a day. If you have a problem they need to resolve, with the many questions that they ask one at a time, the back and forth of emails can last up to a week befor your issue is resolved.

Recompiling time on Basic Service is a scam. Even a single user of such a site is not going to want to wait as long as it takes to have a screen appear after updating a WSS site.

Oh also, I sent a request as posted on the site both to escalate to manager and to CEO, CEO request led to a quick response that said someone would be in touch with me and alas, no one ever did contact me.

Going to cancel this service and hope for better luck with another provider, i would pay 5 times as much just to get compentent support and up time.

Verdict : For several years I had a MS hosting account with this company. The service was ok, but nothing special. In December I added a Lunux account and have only had nightmares dealing with their tech support. They oversell the servers and cause constant outages. I've suffered through google delistings because of slow response times and outages. I will never use their company again and more over, would not even recommend my website competitors to use it. Well.. maybe my competition would be the only ones I would wish to use WEBHOST4LIFE. All the smart companies/people/domains should STAY FAR AWAY. They'll take your money, not provide service and waste your time with support. GO TO HELL WEBHOST4LIFE. You treat your customers like shit, you deserve to go out of business.

Verdict : Have half a dozen sites hosted on webhost4life for over 8 years.
After trying other which gave poor to fair service, or none at all, webhost4life was a breath of fresh air.
They've never failed to help me with techical problems and now that they've added live-chat help it's even better.
The file manager system is easy to use. Would suggest anyone looking for a host give this one a try.

Verdict : In the past few months, the reliability and performance of the server(s) hosting my site has been going down the toilet, so much so that some of my clients have gotten fed up and gone elsewhere. Planned outages are not communicated via the support forums or email broadcast. Technical support is slow in coming and consists of canned responses devoid of acknowledgment of an issue, explanation of system problem(s), or expected time of return-to-service. There are only so many times I'll accept "please try again later".

Stay away from WH4L if you care about reliability and support.

Verdict : I've used WH4L for 6 years with up to 6 domains. They have set the bar for web hosts....and that bar is exceedingly high. I truly believe I can't find another host as good with the value added for as low a price.

Name it- they provide it. I've watched them grow and improve in all aspects of their business over the last 6 years. I've never waited more than a day to have a problem resolved...and there have been very few problems- unlike other hosts I've used. They certainly strive to maintain their promise of 99.9% uptime. They've even willingly, professionally, and efficiently helped me resolve problems that I was the cause of.

I'd recommend no other!

I had been using Webhost4life.com for 5 years for about the first 4 years I didn’t have any problems except for at the tech support level where you would state a problem and you would get a response from support that often was not relevant, misunderstood or a canned answer. It would normally take 3 or 4 efforts for webhost4life.com to understand and solve my problem. But I could live with that, however as my business grew the problems with them mounted.

One day without any notice they cut off my email service and wanted me to send a letter stating that I do not send spam. I told them I don’t send emails to anyone but my clients and those requesting information and that their own records should be able to show that I do not send mass mailings. After a couple of days with no email they had my mail service back up. This was an omen of bad things to come with Webhost4life.com.

Months later again with absolutely no notice webhost4life.com shut down my website because they said my site was using too much resource (that is another way of saying too many people are looking at your website). I immediately sent an email to the CEO stating that this was very unprofessional to close me down without any prior notice and that I needed to be back up immediately, because I am a small business and this would damage by business. Well the CEO never responded to my email or my next 2 emails to him. It’s incredible that they would state on their website “NOT satisfied with our service? Email our CEO” only to get more dissatisfaction from trying to contact the CEO.

And this was not just a one time incident that my emails to the CEO of webhost4life.com were ignored. A previous time I had sent the same email to him six times over about six weeks and forward the first email with the original sent date and ensuing dates reminding him each time that he had still not responded to my email and problem to see if this method would get a responses from him. But no the CEO simply does not want to get involved and never replied. Webhost4life.com commitment to customer service is a crock and it is hard to image a company treating their customers like this and still being in business. What kind of lead does this provide to their customer service personnel when the boss is not even customer service oriented? Well let me tell you.

My first response from tech support for their abrupt shutting down of my website after 2 hours was simply to state the exact same information that was emailed to me when they interrupted my service which is “your website is causing high system resource utilization”. This was their only response to an urgent ticket. They did not tell me what needed to be done or when I would be back up. Ten hours after sending them my urgent ticket and repeated emails to them I was told I had to move to a more dedicate server. Ok, no problem with this accept the link and method they gave me to pay did not work and it takes another 12 hours before I can pay them for the extra service since I had already had 6 plus months credit for the current service. They then tell me the migration will be done “ASAP” but they won’t give me any time estimate. No matter how hard I tried to get some time frame they just wouldn’t tell me. All Webhost4life.com repeatedly tells me is they are sorry for the “inconvenience” and I keep telling them this is more then just an inconvenience this is my livelihood, but that concept wasn’t registering with them.

After 4 days of lost business and me sending them many email, chat messages, and help tickets they final put me back up on my old server which I had been requesting many times for them to do until they are ready to move me to the new server. However back on the old server I am being inundated with server errors and service unavailable errors. I am now spending a lot of time responding to my own customers complaints about the difficulties they are having accessing my web pages, and unlike Webhost4life.com I respond back to every one of my clients. Twelve days after paying for the new service and server and receiving a message that my “payment is verified” I receive a notice, “Sorry for the late replies, for this case, I will forward this to our account department since there is some payment issue need to be settlement before activate the new account. Once again, sorry for your inconvenience.” Now at this point can anyone not believe you are dealing with a bunch of careless clowns running Webhost4life.com. You would think an accounting issue could be solved in one business day the only accounting discrepancy was that they had not given me credit for the past service I had paid or for the back days delayed in moving me to the new server but expecting a prompt response from Webhost4life.com is a far fetch dream.

Now during this debacle where my business is being severely disrupted the volume of emails I would normally get is drastically down. Even when we send emails within our own network to our own domains the emails are not going through. Many of our emails are not making it to the receiver. When I bring this up to Webhost4life.com they say, “We are working on the issue already. Please wait and check it later.” Yet 4 days later with untold amount of emails not reaching us and being permanently lost we hear nothing else from them. All told it was almost a month before we were running smoothly on the new server.

Now I will say this I was an idiot for not leaving Webhost4life.com after what they did because six months after moving to the new server they shut me down again without notice late at night for “running high IO constantly”. After many attempts to get some clarity of what is wrong they say I exceed my limit of 200 GB and to look at my stats. I did look and told them I used less then this last month and was running at a rate of less then 200 for this month so what are they talking about. But Webhost4life.com would not directly answer my questions they simply told me to purchase an upgrade. When I asked to talk to someone they gave me a phone number where I got a recording saying there will be about a 20 minute wait. At about the 20 minute mark the phone disconnected, three more phone attempts got the same results a long wait and then disconnected. When I paid them that night (my urgency was to get my site up quickly) I sent technical support the receipt with all the information showing my payment. In the morning I get an email saying they did not start the migration because I didn’t show paying. This is after sending them a copy of all the details of their receipt to me showing I had paid and webhost4life.com responding back to message with all the detail that I had paid. Incredible! It took 7 days before my ordering system was up and running because tech support would take anywhere from 6 to 24 hours to respond and this was after telling webhost4life that I was losing money due to their delays.

Webhost4life.com is completely unresponsive and uncommunicative to critical customer needs and ownership could care less about the problems they give you. Webhost4life.com is a disaster hosting company for a growing business oriented web site. It was with great relief that I left this arrogant company. Webhost4life.com will sabotage your business. Imagine having your web host shut you down 2 times without any notice because they want you to upgrade your service and then take their time with the migration so you are down for weeks.

Verdict : Absolutely the worst technical support/customer service experience I have ever had. Almost nothing their tech support did worked the first time, most didn't work the 2nd time and some never worked at all. They advertise 24/7 tech support but if you have a server issue or frontpage issue or IIS issue or ASP.Net issue their immediate support can't do anything but create a ticket. Then someone else who can't actually solve the problem suggests all the obvious solutions and then dissapears for hours or days. Nothing about the setup of the databases or deployment of the website worked right the first time. I could not be more dissapointed with their service.

Verdict : I have been with WebHost4Life for almost a year now, and I have been very impressed with the service, ESPECIALLY their customer service. I have not had many complaints, but when I had questions, I was able to resolve them quite quickly using their ticketing system. I also had a chance to use their live-chat option tonight, and spoke with Elainey, who was very patient and helpful. With all the options for hosting and domain services out on the web, my interest always rests on how good the customer service is. These guys have it!

Verdict : I was with another Website when I decided to try WebHost4life based on their 45 day moneyback guarantee. I found the quality of their Website far superior, their support was 24 hours on-line (which I appreciated lving in Australia) and the pricing much, much cheaper.

Most of all they really made an effort to resolve every issue including loading my database and solving an issue with my configuration file. Really expert service.

Verdict : I have been with them since 2004. It is hard to transfer websites and now I am in the process of moving all of my sites to another hosting provider because I can not handle this downtime and slow server. It is so ridiculous. When you call for support or email, they act like you are crazy. They never give you any real answers or eta and they are always having what they call "routing issues". I have not switched and have been with them for so long only because I don't want to go through the hassle of moving my sites. But they have backed me into a corner. DO NOT HOST WITH THEM.

Verdict : If you search online for web hosting ratings, you will see some negative comments about webhost4life. But I can tell you that don\'\'t believe those ratings, try it yourself. YOu will see how good and flexible Webhost4life is! I have accounts with 4 Windows-based host companies, Webhost4Life is clearly the best. I am especially impressed by the flexiblity it allows for site managers. For example, you can easily upload a backup file and restore your SQL Server database without having to submitting a ticket and waiting, as I see with other compaines. Their FTP service and Web Stats tools are first-rate. Their customer support is very quick. They know what they do!

Verdict : My experience with webhost4life is recent but that in no way minimizes the value of the folllowing comments.

I develop customized DNN sites for customers who want content control but generally don\'t have the technical expertise to implement their own sites. I do not offer dirt cheap do it yourself websites. I know my customers personally. In that light I need a hosting provider that I can depend on.

Over the years I have used three previous hosting providers. The last was for two years. This company provided a reasonably affordable product and adequate support. As my business grew it became necessary for me to consider dedicated hosting. That was too expensive so I was excited when my provider offered Virtual Private Servers (VPS). I jumped at the opportunity. That mistake jeapordized my client relationships. The performance was awful and the support was atagonistic.

Unfortunately we cannot pro-rate refund VPS servers as there is a very high overhead for us in setting them up and we do not charge setup fees for VPS servers.

With that response I spent the weekend searching for a new hosting provider. Thank goodness I found webhost4life. I bought a shared hosting account and throughly tested the service and support of webhost4life. During the next week I purchased an Advanced VPS and moved all my clients. The performance, support and even control panel have been exceptional. The value for my dollar positions me to offer my clients unparalled service and support. If you are looking for a hosting resource that lives up to its advertising then webhost4life is my recommended choice. While this is my opinion, it is based upon my experience. Thanks webhost4life.

Verdict : This company is completely unreliable. I stuck with them for almost 5 years before I realized that nothing would change and my site would continue to crash and burn. Shame on me for being so stupid. Really if you are looking for a good host go anywhere else.

Verdict : This company caused my business to go bankrupt. Enough said? Totally unreliable, server crashed monthly and in the end what sunk us was they had no \"daily backup\" so lost all data and eventually my clients.

Verdict : WebHost4Life is garbage. Do not even think of bringing an ASP.NET site to this company.

The limits imposed make this webhost NOT DNN Freindly, though they advertise they are a DNN host.

Limits include: 50MB Resource allocation and your app pool will recycle (this is insane, your application will get recompiled every time someone visits, causing load time upto 1-2 minutes).

Customer Service seems to be responsive, but are not knowledgable at all.

They don't have IIS setup properly, which causes horrible response times.

They have shared servers for database and web.

They put about 100+ websites per server and do not manage them properly.

They force recycle application pools every day at 11:30PM EST. This is prime time for the rest of america for my website.

I have alot more bad things to say, but it will get to long.

The GOOD: The ONLY thing, and I mean ONLY thing, I like about webhost4life is thier control panel. I do not care for HSphere which is why I went to webhost4life, but I'd rather deal with the lack of features in HSphere than a horrible webhost.

This company needs to go out of buisness so others aren't stuck in the predicament I am in.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT host your site with this company.

Verdict : I've hosted my site www.avalonbeadstore.com with Webhost4life for 5 months now and have had numerous occasions of long term downtime, especially during peak hours of the day when our business is booming. We've lost plenty of money due to this repeated downtime and after several attempts with their support to iron out the problem (which they said EVERY time was due to someone abusing server resources) we are at our wits end. It's a lot of work to research new hosting companies, select one with everything you need, and move your site, but at this point we are willing to do the work. After emailing the CEO very cordially but sternly about this problem, we have received no response but from support saying "Oh, the site is fine. It's up and running." WELL WHAT ABOUT THE HOURS OF DOWNTIME EVERY OTHER DAY?!! The point is these people really don't care whether your site is up or not. There's only so many "No response from server" errors you can get before you have to make a decision to change hosts. We're not looking forward to this.

Bottom line... Don't bother with Webhost4life. It's NOT a lifelong relationship.

Verdict : I can't say that this is the worst host out there, simply because I haven't tried all of them. What I CAN say is that I have never dealt with any company even half as bad as this one. We hosted several critical websites with them for a period of about 2 months in early 2007. In that period, they completely crashed and erased all our sites twice. On both occasions, there was no response from customer support for several days. In desperation, we wrote to their CEO because they prominently display his email and encourage customers to write directly to him. We never got a response from him either. Here are the three emails we sent him:

Hope you're doing well. We opened an account with you about a month ago and have been deluged with problems ever since:

1. Everything on your service is an add-on that requires extra money. MS SQL is there but reporting services cost $60 a year. Once you pay for Reporting Services, they are there but you need to pay $10 for an extra user ID so that we don't have to give our master account credentials to our Reporting Services users. Multiple domains are there, but getting a separate folder for each domain costs $15/yr. We started with a $9.95/month plan but have already paid about $240 for the year (twice what we bargained for) and yet don't have what we need. All this sounds like nightmarish fiction, but it's all true. If we had known before signing up that we would be subjected to this, we would have done better.

2. Your control panel is tedious and prone to crashing - it frequently gives the "session expired" error within one minute of logging in. We are used to HELM and that thing is fast, reliable, and super-good-looking.

3. Your service is extremely slow. We have mirror sites on another host and everything runs 10 times faster there. Only reason we came to you is that our other host does not yet support MS SQL 2005 (they have only 2000).

4. Your support personnel respond in poor written English, sometimes impossible to understand what they mean.

I could go on, but this is enough for a start. I hope you have some good answers. Thank you.

We cancelled the service within 45 days, but they only refunded $150 out of the $240 or so they had charged for a full year. Their excuse was that some of the add-on charges were non-refundable. Readers can make their own conclusions based on these facts, and yet I feel compelled to add: Please don't ever sign up with this company. If you are already a customer, please find another host before you suffer beyond grief.

Verdict : I've used these guys since one of my first development attempts in ASP, in 1999. I've run about ten different sites through them, most of them in development and preproduction. Over this time I have seen them get progressively worse in terms of their support of these sites and the performance. Finally last year I pulled some stats and I found that the server for one of my sites was dropping every third packet... no wonder the pages were hardly ever loading. Sure, they answer their support questions fast - but half the time it is complete and utter garbage. Everything is fine if you agree with them, but the minute you start questioning something they just keep repeating the same thing again and again... its like they argue with you by illogical conclusions.

Example: I requested a website restore for my forums as we had a problem with an upgrade of IPB, they kept asking for my credit card through their unsecure help area, I didn't want to and they didn't reply to any of my responses in the next 24 hours. Finally in desperation I restored the entire thing myself, and they had the cheek to charge me for the restoration (which never occured) without my permission. So I did a chargeback :)

If you are learning ASP and want somewhere to play around, then these guys give you that opportunity. But do NOT host anything here that you don't giving you awful performance. Also realise that most of what they tell you and have on their site is complete and utter rubbish, such as their uptime guarantee, their money back guarantee, and pretty much anything else you see.

Overall, despite the fact I have used these guys for eight years, I would not recommend them to anyone at all. Even if you have to pay a few more dollars, its nothing compared to the hidden costs you get charged.

Verdict : Webhost4life is very deceptive. They seem to have a great price, but once you become a customer you soon realize that you are being nickel and dimed to death. Things that seem free and unlimited on the main page, you actually must pay for.

It seems like nothing is actually up and running on your account until you try to use it and submit a ticket, then it suddenly works and they claim nothing was wrong.

The customer support is actually very good no complaints there.

The thing that killed me was upon my 1 year renewal. They actually wanted to charge me a renewal fee of $10. That was it I was tired of paying extra for everything. There was no way I was paying a renewal fee. If anything they should be giving me a $10 discount for continuing my service.

They aren't bad, but there are far better hosts out there. Webhost4life is very deceptive. Beware of this one.

Verdict : I have hosted numerous ASP.net websites here, with multiple SQL databases, it is a powerful user interface to manage your website and sql databases, it is cheap and reliable. The email service is also great and webmail interface is user friendly, anti-spam is pretty effective. No problems with these guys, they are great and I dont work for them! I am on another continent!
