I was with them mainly because I was solving most of my own problems most of the time, but whenever I needed support, it would take weeks before my problem was solved. I would give them 0 for customer support if I could. My server was down at least once a week for about 2-3 hours per week. The services are weak, and did I mention the customer support stunk?
After 14 months I am moving on. They also DO not offer unconditional 30 day money back in most cases.
There are many other web hosting companies out there that offer more for a comparable price.
I can not login to my WHM Panel, but after disable Broadband Speed Test addon for Firefox then I can login. WHB security standard very high and this needed for seriously reseller.
Only need 1 hour (after my payment received by 2co) my account is active. I wonder how fast WHB create my reseller account. And next another 1 hour my private NS ready to go plus WHMAP license. Fantastic!
Response time very good, the server very stable, so I don\'t know why some people say that WHB is bad, I think maybe: they have poor computer knowledge for a reseller or they have bad internet connection (I use ADSL here) or maybe they don\'t read WHB Knowledge Base. Some people always asking but not read the KB yet.
Again, please read all welcome email from WHB and KB before you ask for help! The welcome email contain VERY important information about your personal login.
The packages offered by Webhostingbuzz looked pretty good, so I decided to take a reseller package. That turned out to be a mistake.
The registration went ok, the welcome email contained errors in the urls for whm and cpanel, but these were easily corrected. After creating a few subaccounts, the sites were all very slow. And in whm I could see that the machine load was huge, and this was an 8 core/8GB machine so what was going on? They said all was fine and ignored my error reports. From time to time I got time outs, connection refused and even internal server errors! I'm not talking about very small php/mysql test sites that did almost nothing.
After submitting tickets and posting in their forums, all I got was the suggestion to upgrade to a virtual private server. They said the reason my sites were slow is because I was on a shared machine(!) Yes, that's why we call it reseller/shared hosting. Obviously Webhostingbuzz thinks that's a good reason for the unacceptable bad performance.
I waited two months, having nothing but time outs, slow sites, internal server errors, connection refused and submitting many tickets and forum posts but nothing was done about it. Webhostingbuzz was accepting the situation as it was. In the forums, there were several other resellers complaining as well with the same kind of errors as I had.
I left Webhostingbuzz and turned to Hostgator.com And what a difference! Those Hostgator people really eat the competition, 5 out of 5 for Hostgator. It's just that they don't offer the very small packages, but calculated per GB it's almost the same. Hostgator is the real reseller company for you.
If you want to know more, anyone can mail me at desloopkogel@gmail.com to verify that this review is sincere. Again, don't join Webhostingbuzz.
PS. Even their own website is now giving an error, can you believe it..
I have been with these guys for a while now. They were recommended to me by a friend and I can certainly say I would recommend them myself. I have had minimal downtime and quick responses whenever I contacted customer support. There are cheaper companies out there, but you get what you pay for here. Good quality service. I know I wouldn't trade that for a lower tariff. From reading the other reviews I think it's more common to write a negative review than a positive one as a bad experience encourages people to write in, but if things are running smoothly there's less incentive to do so. Anyway, I think these guys are great and I'm sure a lot of other people who haven't written here do too.
I have this webhosting for 1 year, but like 8 months i didn't do anythig on it.
When I've started to build I site here are the problems:
1. for 2 weeks site down at leest 2,3 times a day
First they told mee that they have told me:
"We recently experienced some server overload issues, causing a slowdown. The source of this problem has been located and addressed. Server performance should now be back to normal."
OK I've told them.
After one week the problem was still there
They have told me:
"We unreservedly apologize for the service outage that you experienced. This is unlike us, we'd some hardware issue with server described on our forum"
What happend?
... ???
2. The problem that made my write this review.
I have a hosting of 200 GB and this morning (02.04.2008) when I've open my CP surprise
"Sorry for the inconvenience!
The filesystem mounted at /home/mysite on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operations have been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition."
no worning nothig befor this happend!!!
how can i fill 200 GB this is crazy!!
i think "maybe my database (200 MB)" but how can I have access to my Databse if I don't have access t my control Panel
I've been more than satisfied with Webhostingbuzz for the last couple of years.
What makes me write this review now is the speed and readiness to offer immediate assistance with bringing my site back up even though the payment didn't come through yet.
I will of course pay for the service because I am more than satisfied with it, but wanted to share my huge appreciation and delight with a company with such dedication. Thank you!
I was slightly nervous about going with this host, since their reviews were spotty, at best. Since I've been with them, however, I've had little or no trouble. There was a period of instability, but it was short, and I have had perfect reliability for months now. I've hosted many sites with them now. I have had no trouble- even with streaming video, or uploading TinyMCE over ftp (over 400 files), and their customer service is great. Even though it's just a ticketing system, I've gotten all my problems fixed right away. Why was adding a subdomain causing my cPanel to freeze? 11:20PM I submit a ticket, 11:45PM it's working. Route remote.mywebsite.com to the computer in my dorm room? Done in half an hour, at 1:00AM, no questions asked... and I'm using their cheapest shared hosting package.
I have been using WebhostingBuzz service for more then 6 months. I have to say that I didn't have any single trouble with them. Maybe because of my easy web site or maybe the service is realy stable.
sory for my pooe English.
I run a nuke-evo site and have had luck using these guys. I'm still on the basic shared server package and haven't run into too many issues. My site has over 50,000 posts and over 1500 members. My site loads much quicker than other nuke-evo sites.
I signed up for this host and i was surprised that it went smooth. But when i finally got setup, i saw that there was a file limit. You needed to have 20 GB stored of HTML-linked pages to host some media files that are more then 500 kb.
Just rubbish, bad support, they ignore your tickets when you want a refund. They say i abused them.
I filled the server with 270 GB of files below 500 KB, following the AUP. So i had 30 GB over for my other files right.
I was banned, i couldnt get my account back. They stole my domain unless i payed 15 $ again.
1) Rippers
2) Bad support
3) Just don't get hosting here, it's soooooooooooooooooooooo bad!
affortable price, yeah... but lousy service as well... is ok to have a problem, nothing is perfect. but they just have way too much problems.
not only giving a lot of wrong information, but the way they solve problem are worst.
they will ignored, closed and deleted the submitted ticket while you are waiting to be 'help'.
they even asked the same question again and again. even though is handle by different people, but can't they read back the previous tickets to understand the situation?
i'm using other hosting company plan in my country, brunei, which i consider it's bad. but web hosting buzz is worst.
i won't think it's value of money even though the price are kinda affordable. because i'm not sure in these 2 months i'm consider using it or not. i just used web hosting buzz service for 2 months...
my first month mostly wasted on the dns setting, which they also admit it's their mistake. come to 2nd month, which mean now, i face the problem with the email account it's been around 2-3 weeks already and yet the problem still haven't been solve.
if anyone wanna use their service, better not. if not, u will just end up like me; everyday waiting for their help and replying the same question again and again. in simple, wasting my time and money
These people seem absolutely great on the surface, but this is just another example of a DIRTY COMPANY.
They say they give a "money back gurantee" but that is a load of crap. What they give is
a money back gurantee, with many strings attached to it. You will get about $20 docked
from the amount, because of conditions they lay in the FINER print (not just the FINE print!).
Avoid these people at all cost! Use HostGator, they're a bit pricier, but totally
legit.
This is the worst hosting service I've ever paid for.
I've paid for 2 years when I knew their pricing, it is the only good thing they offer, and it was a regretable decesion I've taken.
At the beginnig every thing was ok, except for low spead at sometimes, after 2 months they've suspended my account without any warning, just said your site abusing resources so we've suspended your account, and you need to upgrade to a dedicated server plan!
My site visitors were ~100 daily, is it really applicable to pay for a dedicated server for such very low traffic site?
After some hours from chatting with their support they unsuspended my account and after two months they suspended my account again for the same reason without any more details.
I've asked them many times to explain the problem for me to be able to solve it, they were saying its your resposibilty.
How is it my responsibilty? I can't know the problem with the server because I can't access it, they can do this, but I doubt they have the experience to do it.
After that I didn't receive any response from them at all, I asked to give me a backup for my files and database, no response!
refund my money, no response!
Unsuspend my account to use it for the remaining 20 months that I contratced for, no response too!
Till now I didn't get any response from them.
I advice every one to not waste his time and money with them.
I'm sure the majority of their good reviews are paid for, because I was one of them, they offered an expansion for bandwidth and space for writting good reviews at the hosting reviews sites, and I did, but didn't get this offer too.
Watch out for these guys, they use dishonest and deceptive sales practices. Case in point:
They offer a "monthly special" that supposedly includes 5 domain registrations. You go to their sales page, and then go thru the process of signing up, you get your 5 domains, everything is hunky-dory.
Then after you've paid them, you try to get your domains added to your account and you email their tech support, which tells you to use the control panel, but the control panel says you need to contact tech support. So you go round-and-round like this a few times with the clueless tech support guys and finally they tell you to read the fine print: You don't get the 5 domains unless you pay for a whole year upfront. Nevermind that it doesn't say anything on their sales page, nevermind that the ordering page lets you configure your order for monthly payments & 5 free domains.
After bringing this obviously deceptive bait-and-switch tactic to their attention, they just tell you to read their TOS.
This is one of the worst providers I have dealt with. They aren't serious business people; they deleted my account without notification that they had some problems with my payment. They are really bad: slow customer service, lack of technical knowledge (they didn't know how to setup private name servers), lack of communication, non sensitive persons.. stay away of them, it will ruin your business
My experiences with these guys have been unreliable overall. They failed to actually verify my account with them until three weeks into the time I paid for it. This meant that I had NO webspace, no domain registration, nothing, and yet they still took my money.
When I found out about this when I finally needed to upload my website about three weeks later, I had to go through technical support hell in order to get my site up. They have no phone support, and it's hard enough to get a hold of them with a ticket system to the point that I was tired of dealing with them.
I demand a refund after being with them for a little over a month and they flat out refused or ignored me and my situation. It's rude behavior that I have reported to the Better Business Beauru of America. I have as of what to hear from them if they're going to give me a refund or not.
Worst customer service ever. Whether they like it or not, they simply just suspend your site without notice, causing so much interruption to your online site. Unstable speeds, slow cpanel administration. More rantings and testimonials at http://whychoosewebhostingbuzz.blogspot.com/
I have been a customer of whb for several years and have generally been happy. There was a period of instability and downtime when they upgraded the servers a few months ago, but that seems to be behind us now. I am monitoring my domains and have been getting an uptime of over 99% lately.
Support is slow, but reliable. Issues are turned around within a day, though. The backups work - I had to get a site restored once and there was no issue.
Overall, I don't think you can get a better deal for the money, and for private or small business sites the service level is sufficient.
My warning is, "Avoid these people like you would the black plague" !!! I just did a "Google" on "Webhostingbuzz reviews", and found quite a number of people who have had my experience with them. I am going to try to provide "just the facts" !!
The first thing that I can warn you about is, don't believe ANY of their advertising, testimonials, or written material. You read many "Outstanding Testimonials" to these people, but I wonder how many of them were "paid for". During their early years, they paid customers (offered free renewals or extra web space) to write outstanding critiques for survey sites such as this one. I received a number of these !!
They have a "Server Status Board" [ http://www.whbstatus.com ] that is supposed to indicate the status of their services. Funny thing is, though, that even when the services are down, the status board shows everything as "A-OK". Right now my server has been down since 7 AM, yet they say it is up and running ???
I must say in truth, I am on one of their VERY budget plans, and for what I am paying, service WAS acceptable even with a few problems. I was planning on upgrading to one of their more expensive plans. Now, I am VERY glad that I did not. As far as I can see, now, there IS NO service. Yesterday I started doing a "Google" to find a new hosting service. I will be moving ASAP.
I have 14 service tickets dating from 12/04/05 when they instituted their "Online Help Desk" (there is NO phone support). There were MANY more incidents, but I soon discovered that it was a waste of time writing up a ticket. Either the problem was due to system overload (too many users) and resolved itself, the response would be some useless "idiot answer", or the problem was simply NEVER resolved.
A prime example was eMail. eMail response was terrible from the beginning, and grew continually worse. I finally routed ALL of my incoming eMail to a different service, and retrieved it from there, as well as using them for SMTP. There were also frequent cases of the Http server being unavailable, and then all of a sudden it was OK. A really strange thing was that SiteUptime would show it was down from one part of the country, but OK from other parts.
As Webhostingbuzz grew, their service, both servers and support, got continually worse, despite their "self glorification" about their new equipment, facilities, and "award winning service ?????????" It reached a peak the end of last month (March 2006). They supposedly did some major upgrades, and service has been down more than up ever since. I use a site monitoring service (SiteUptime). They show that since 11/24/04, there have been 95 outages. 2006 has 40. March 2006 has 25. So far April (today is the 8th) shows the 7th out from 10-3 PM and today out 7-9 AM, 9-11 AM, down again at 12 PM. My eMail has been out since yesterday morning, and as of this writing, all services are down. I have TWO open Urgent work tickets submitted, one since yesterday morning. So far -- NO RESPONSE !!
When my previous hosting company, Ankahost, went out of business, I quickly had to find a new host and so did some research that told me that Webhostingbuzz would give me what I wanted. They have great features such as cPanel and Fantastico, reasonable pricing and space etc. It all went well in the beginning, but in the last 3 months there have been many, many, outages raging from an hour to 12 hours in length. They have been caused by server crash, router problems, overloading, you name it!
So I am now forced to find a new hosting company and I am glad that I found this site! So much better to read reviews from customers of the actual companies than trying to get an idea by other means.
