Verdict :
A very unreliable service. The only positive points are it is easy to contact support by phone or chat session, but often the 1st line support has little tech knowledge.
Faults have happened every few days since starting the hosting. It has been so bad, there is no common failure, it seems faults keep happending affecting everything from emails to server page failing to load.
As a business I am now at the end of my tolerance, one more fault and I am moving to a new hosting company ... on recent experience it suggest I will be with new hosting very soon. The only reason I am not moving straight away is the pain of moving hosts.
The hosting appears to be great value, but it is just too unreliable. Hosting kept falling offline. FTP kept stalling or crashing altogether. Even Cpanel login was failing at one point. Maybe a glitch, but can't risk it...
As the reviews before, their reliability has been poor and patching has caused me problems.
The final problem was them not renewing a domain name after I paid them. I have now lost the domain and all the work I did. They squirm and play blame games instead of admitting errors on their part which has been very frustrating.
We are a web design company. When we first started using Webhosting 2 and a half years ago, their support was second to none.
However...
In the last 6 months they have gone down the pan. I can never get hold of anyone who will help. When you do get hold of a techie they put the blame on you. We had at least 50 different websites with this company. Now we have none. It has taken some time to move away, but it has been worth it!
My advice to anyone thinking about using them is...DON'T DO IT!!!
You will wast time and money. Also Customers!!!
The servers get slower as they fill up with more an more websites. Support is nil and actually they are not the cheapest!
I am a small business owner who is lucky enough to have business booming . I needed a website up fast and easily. Although none of the templates available on the external design tool really met my needs. The Tech support team of webhostinguk was more than helpful with getting me to create my own banner and upload it so it worked with the tool. No question was too small or too stupid. The tech support team is so friendly and all English speaking really helped me through. In this day and age where tech support is difficult to get and then at times even more difficult to understand...in motion is getting it DONE! I am happy with my site design and support they all have given to me, They give you the best service always .i truly appreciate their concern towards their client queries i have with them .The help you with their best knowledge base and technology
I am using webhosting UK hosting services from last few months and it allows faster access to my websites of my project, and also provides more flexibility in hosting any kind of website based on any technology, it allows me to add applications and databases, and provides greater flexibility in managing resources. They also provides reliable and professional tech support which is ready to help 24x7 with great uptime to keep alive my website all the time.
No really im not picky but the first few months with this host they were great and after a year they have provided such a bad service i have lost all yes all my clients for hosting it is a complete joke please read this and save yourself money and time becuase i wish i hadnt ever bothered with them.
Now looking for a realiable vps or reseller hosting provider, good luck folks!
Worst web hosting ever, about 5 days in a month my site is down or taking too long to respond.
They only fix it when I claim else they leave my site slow and crap, I am glad my plan is finishing and I am moving into a new company that fit my needs.
The price is right, the support is quick but the uptime is appalling.
We have ~6 sites with this company (Windows Shared Hosting Package + SQL). Over a course of a typical week two sites will go down with either IIS issues or SQL issues, 95% of the time we notice the errors before they do, we spend so much time trying to keep on top of our sites we can't focus on our day jobs...
I have been with WebhostingUK for a number of years now, they have assisted me along the way from basic knowledge to full SSH / Windows administration knowledge.
WHUK have a brilliant 24/7 support department, unrivalled to any other company out there.
I'd definitely recommend anybody to WebhostingUK, you can even find an excellent community over at their forums.
One minute everything is fine the next disaster, they susspended our account without any notice, made server changes which stopped our ability to update and maintain our website on more than 1 occassion and we have also had several incidents where our site was offline for more than a week.
Support is awesome if and it's a bigt if you actually get someone who is A: Interested and B: Able to resolve issues.
I spent a couple of days trying to find a windows hosting company with good reviews but it seams only those with bad experiences can be bothered to leave feedback. Well I have been with webhostinguk for a couple of weeks now the price is relatively low so I wasn't expecting much technical support but I must say I am very impressed I had a few issues migration my database in the end the support guys at webhostinguk restored the database for me, they responded to my emails promptley and even spotted a typo in my query string and corrected that for me. Excelent service considering the price.
My site has been hosted on WebhostingUK for over 6 months now, and I've not had any bad experiences with them. Setup was almost instant, The domain was up and running in less than a day! They have really good customer service, helpdesk and support system, and they get back to you quickly. They come highly recommended from me!
Many Many problems with this company - they tried to ban our own IP address from the site, the stopped us receiving email confirmation or orders due to wrong security settings, so we were receiving payments and no idea what for, site offline more often than online, very bad support - they ignored most emails and online support always said to email support. We have had no less than 20 different problems from hotlinking to site down for ages and each time they deny problem is theirs until we can prove that it is - they still deny site goes down despite us having dozens of screenshots of it - they also tried to say that us using 1Gb was causing site problems at our end (despite us paying extra for 3Gb bandwidth usage), they then said was isp problem until we supplied emails from customers saying they cannot access site, and now they are back to denying it is a problem - WE ARE MOVING!!!! Worst company we have ever encoutered and very unhelpful - I would give 0 OUT OF 5!!!
Unbelievable. Manage to get themselves into the top results in Google, and yet the most terrible service and risible support. They have an automated billing system which never tells you what they are billing you for and seems to randomly generate bills for nothing, they managed to loose their server when adding windows patches last year and loose all the pages that were hosted on it. they do not fully respond to support tickets, they are still advertising Livestats, a program they completely failed to support or understand and didn't work. Unaccountable, amateur, arrogant and basically rubbish.
Ok, so they offer you free hosting when they keep loosing your site and not answering questions, but lets face it, you don't want a host to be your pal, you want them to host your site responsibly and support you properly if things go wrong.
