I have had the following problems in the last two years and every time I have to renew my domain names:
1. Double billing on each domain name
2. No one available to answer my calls
3. Poor answering service that you can't hear on the other side
4. When my call was answered through "Sales" the connection was poor and the individual could not hear me or spoke English
5. No response to my submitted ticket even though they advertise a 24 hour response time. I have submitted one each year regarding my billing and never got a response.
6. No assistance regarding technical support
7. Although my account shows that I renewed my domain names I still get invoices stating that it was declined and the amount is still outstanding. Still no response to my outstanding phone messages and submitted email tickets for clarification.
I think this company is a fly-by-night.
I am in the process of switching my accounts to another company that has a great reputation and will answer my calls.

Verdict : I am a Webserve customer for over 5 years. I signed up for both, hosting and domain forwarding from day one of my quite long-term business with Webserve. I have never faced no difficulty on communicating with company's stuff, whether on billing issues or at technical level. They are all on top of what they do. Issues and questions are rather addressed swiftly. Services and servers' downtime has never been an issue to be worried about or it has been notified in advance by the tech people (mostly for migration or maintenance). I am very satisfied!

Verdict : Well, the best and easiest way to put the whole story of 5+ years of hosting my website with Webserve would be : All I needed to do was signing up and paying the initial payment. The rest has been being taken care of, ever since, by Webserve's people!
I have never come across situation that could not have been addressed by these guys, would it be a small discrepancy on billing or a server-side problem. Their customer service lines are always up and easy-to-reach. Their prices are up-to-date as per the market's demand and quite unbeatable. Simply put: Webserve knows how to serve its clients!

Verdict : After four years of having my site hosted by Webserve, I received email confirmation that my domain name and hosting plan had been renewed and that I had been billed $126.50 for these services. Two days later I typed in my domain name - gone, snapped up by eNom. I can no longer log into my Webserve account and have not been able to reach them by phone. Their "24 hour call center" is a message stating that you should call their 25 hour call center. I'm in agreement with other recent reviews: this is a case for the BBB. I'm not optimistic about getting my money back.

Verdict : These people are incompetent. We renewed our domain and dns handling (renewed mind you) with them - but they screwed it up and we might be able to get the domain back when it comes available again, in several months. Their handling of the issue was inadequate, and they offered no feasible solution.

I recommend that anyone needing a domain seek it elsewhere.

Verdict : When i started off with webserve it was a decent company. The technical help was very quick and i rarely had any downtime. Initially, the only problem I could see was that their email client was terrible at filtering spam, so i forwarded it to gmail and the problem was resolved that way...

I have now sent a complaint to the BBB after noticing the billing practices are way out of line. What kind of company charges your credit card without sending you an invoice first? I looked at the date of my last "invoice" (more like a receipt since it arrived in my email the day after the charge was made). The invoice was created on march 13th, and the due date for payment was set for march 14th, a day later. Wow. Way to give me a lot of time to prepare for that, Webserve!

I doubt I'll be able to get much of a result even through the BBB because it seems that webserve is an abandoned castle - the phones are ringing, but nobody is home. They ignore the BBB as much as their customers it seems, but it's still worth a shot.

I'll just have to cancel any further service after my next year (oh god, a whole year) is up, and eliminate my c-card from their records (and hope that they don't have it stashed elsewhere)

If anyone has any success stories on getting VISA to reverse charges due to bad business practice please do tell, because that's the next thing i'm going to try to do.

Verdict : Webserve used to be great until fall 2008, when everything went to heck. My website was down, customer support was poor (the live help thing never worked and still wasn't working the last time my website went down in March 2009). It took their accounts email months to reply back to my first email about closing my account (after giving them a second chance, it only took a week for them to reply). I just really feel angry and ripped off by them, so I packed up and moved my site to another host with better reliability.

I have been without a website and email for a month. Their explanation is the control panel is down on the server!!! LOL! Man these people are ridiculous.

Terrible customer service. Can not get anyone to answer your questions. Can not get anyone in management their. Can not get to my email or website or even know when I will be able to.

Verdict : This year, the service has been very disappointing. At least 2 times, the server in Webserve that host our email hosting has crashed or down. And in both situations, no one informs us that the path for our email server has been changed to a different. I think in both cases, they probably forgot us and it's after our contact with them that they start setting us up again! I understand that server can go down, but Webserve needs to contact their clients if service are being disrupted and tell us what is the next step!! Also, in both cases, the technical support person seems very confused. They don't seem to have any idea of what is going on at the beginning. They either gave us wrong info or don't know the answer until much later. In both cases, contacting technical support has been very difficult & frustrating experiences for us. Sometimes I wonder if this company is actually in someone's basement, because the service that I've received was very unprofessional.

On top of that, in the most recent case, I logged tickets with the 7/24 center and asked people to contact me back and they never do!! And after many many tries, phone call conversation always ended up with Webserve hanging up on us.

Our organization as a result has lost many emails and people were not able to contact us as a result.

Very disappointed!!!! If you have 0 out of 5 for rating, I'd pick that. Doesn't matter how cheap the cost is. They should deliver the service and they haven't. period.

Verdict : Their service has been terrible over the past few months. My site was down for a full month and they would not or could not fix the problems. Their "Technical Support" toll-free number is nothing more than a call center answering service that told me "you're not the only one upset" when I called to voice my displeasure with the way my numerous requests for information were being handled. Communication...terrible! Resolution of THEIR technical issues...terrible!!! Recommend to friends...absolutely not!!! Recommend to my competitors...heck, Yes!!!

Verdict : I also have had endless problems with this company. Billing - over. Service is terrible! I mean it doesn\\\'t get worse than this. Call and get hungup on, disconnected, a recording saying the number is out of service, and in the end \\\"leave a message\\\". When I do leave the message no-one returns my call/s. Yes calls. Not a single returned phone call- ever.\r\nI have tried to cancel and no one returns my emails! Im fed up with it but they hold my domain.\r\nA word of advice to newbies - I learned the hard way. NEVER have the registration for your website at the same place you have it hosted! NEVER. Because when you do - they hold all the cards.\r\n\r\nadded note - I have typed this while on hold for WEBSERVE. Still on hold after 20 minutes.

Verdict : I wish they let you use a 0 instead of a 1.
Don\'t even get me started. When your business relies on email and for over 2 weeks your email and your website are down...you can imagine the effect.
They will not answer your calls, etc. You can create a \"ticket\" but the only response you get is that you should not create more than one.

I am trying to cancel my account - 4th attempt, no one answers the phone, emails accomplish nothing.

I signed up for 1 month of website hosting on July 30, then cancelled the next day - the one month was intentional as my client\'s regular host had temporary problems and webserve.ca was just a stop-gap. I was immediately disgruntled by the fact I couldn\'t call their office (was doing so because email response to my question was useless). Calling (regardless of whether selecting sales, support or billing) meant being on hold for 15 minutes (the usual \"we\'re busier than usual, please hold on\" messages intermittently) and then getting a message instructing to leave a message. No response to my voice message, naturally. This happens every time you call - 3 times for me now.

Another point of disgruntlement: The only time I talked to someone at webserve.ca was before I signed up - I asked the young man at webserve.ca how many clients they host (for me bigger is better) and he advised \"about 75,000\". B/S, I later found out (using DomainTools) it was less than 15,000.

Fortunately the regular host straightened things out the same night I signed up with webserve.ca. I cancelled the next day (July 31) - tried calling (same hold thing) and so I sent an email advising I was cancelling and instructing to delete my account. Though I got no response, this was consistent with their lack of service and the email did not bounce back to me so I knew it was delivered, and left it at that. Indeed, what else COULD I do?

Then in early October I received a \"paid invoice\" email from webserve.ca, and found that my account was still active according to them, and they had charged my credit card $16.79 (monthly charge) on both Sept. 3 and Oct. 2 (true to form, their system had failed to produce a \"invoice paid\" email for the Sept. charge). I immediately sent an email advising the account was supposed to be cancelled, to do so immediately and refund the Sept. and Oct. charges. No response. I sent another email Oct. 22 reiterating the above and requesting confirmation of cancellation. Their only response was a stock email of \"tips to resolve your problem\" - the link to click on for questions about termination of service only yields the \"currently unavailable\" browser error message (tried it various times).

And today, I tried once more to call - same dead end as described above.

NOTE: three weeks later, I finally reached someone at Webserve (5th phone try) - after they had once again dinged my credit card for another month and despite almost rampant attempts to cancel. I was advised to go to their Support webpage where I had to MANUALLY type /cancel to get the page with the FORM to actually cancel. How ridiculous is that!!

Verdict : Server is down at least 2 days a week in the past 6 months. Tech support is non-existant - they have a live \"answering service\" who can take messages only. Not once has anyone ever responded to my phone messages or emails. I\'m beginning to wonder if they have any staff at all. They offer \"live support\" on their site - again there is never any response. If you look at their page giving the \"current status\" of the servers...it\'s out of date! This ongoing problem with Webserve has impacted our daily business and we are now looking for a new host.

Verdict : I have had a client site hosted on Webserve for a couple years now and have encountered many problems, including downtime, server side program issues, FTP issues, and the list goes on. We have also seen the server go down on numerous occasions.

Their technical support is all but non-existent. I have attempted to use their \"live\" service only to have the operator close the connection immediately after I stated the problem we were having. I have had tickets submitted with no response. When they do chose to respond, you do not get an email notification of that response, you must log back in to their support site routinely to check for yourself.

I have suggested that my client look elsewhere and that you do too.

Verdict : I have been webserve since February, 2008. What a huge mistake.

My site has been down a minimum of 8 times since I\'ve registered with them, and in October, 2008, I have been without email for 10 days. November, 2008, I\'ve been without email for 1 day. And today\'s date is November 1st.

I\'ve lost huge amounts of business, makes me sick to my stomach to think about it as I deal with high-end celebrities and A-Listers. Sick Sick Sick.

I cannot get an answer from anyone, tech support emails me a minimum of 4 or 5 days AFTER I\'ve managed to track somebody down to talk to on the phone. When I email support@webserve.ca (or any webserve email address), it bounces back as rejected by their servers. I want to switch hosts, but cannot get my EPP from Webserve as nobody is getting back to me! This is a nightmare. Don\'t even think about considering them for your hosting requirements!

Verdict : Ok so where to start.

1) we started hosting our sit with webserv strictly because they were a canadian company and affordable. Big mistake within 2 hours our site was offline and the only response we got was 4 days later. " your account was accidently deleted" along with my databases and all my files ( thank god for backups )

so I let that slide as we had already paid and might as well use up our term so we moved our main site to another host and started hosting some of our smaller sub site on webserve didn't take long for them to start dying ( losing connection to mysql php misconfiguration etc ) so we totally canceled and gave up on them hoever it didn't end there despite the fact we canceled and recieved the conformation that the account was closed they still keep sending us invoices to pay for services we don't even have. ( more on this later )

so 2) the other night we decided to renew our domain name and as we went with webserve in the first place we decided to just use them for the registration again as we had no issues on that part the first time. That was a big mistake. I registered ( renewed ) the domain paid them right away and waited... and waited.....and waited..... contacted live help and asked why is it taking so long to register response " please a few hour" so I waited and waited..... next morning I contacted them again and asked why it was still not registered. response " please wait few hour " I at theis point explained to them that my competitors had been trying to steal my domain for years and if this happened they would be held responsible.

2 hours later domain is registered at goddaddy so I gain contact webserve ( not slightly mad ) and ask for an explanation as to how they can register a domain I already registered with webserve " response "because you order was not processed yet " so apparently it takes a few days to register a domain now. so I asked them what they were going to do to fix this problem and got hung up on go on live chat and Alex" keep answering and leaving chat so I phone back and get told the reason the domain was not registered was because I had an outstanding balance for my hosting. yes that's right they didn't register my domain because they were billing me for services I canceled months earlier and had sent daily emails about asking them to stop billing me and fix the problem.

so after I explained my feelings to them about how happy I am to be losing thousands of dollars by having to register a new domain remake my website have new letterhead and logo made up as well as the hours spent contacting my customers what do they give me? $16.95 ( price of registration )

the next day I opoen my email and what do I see?
an invoice for the hosting I canceled.
but oh what's this?
AN INVOICE FOR THE DOMAIN I LOST BECASUE THEY DIDN'T REGISTER IT AND THEY REFUNDED ME FOR!!!.

still trying to deal with this ( however have just handed it over to my lawyer.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAQUE!!!!

Verdict : I have a reseller account. Their servers died two weeks ago and ever since my sites have been down and I have had no ability to log in to reseller account.

For two weeks I have been strung along. "Your problem is fixed" nope.

Pathetic support and they are only in it for the money grab. I suspect the owner made his cash and his exit strategy is to let the company self defacate.

I recommend you stay away from webserve.

Verdict : I originally siged up for service on this site b/c 1. there where close to the local where I lived so I figured support would be better than trying to reach someone across the ocean for a cheaper alternative, thus I didn't mind paying more. 2. I did not have my own web server running yet.

Now I have my own web server and will be pulling my account from there site asap.

Problems with Webserve.ca
1. you can never reach anyone for tech support by phone, I have only
ever reached the 'accounting' person who said that they'er
not in or "busy"
2. the online support is a joke. The status shows that they are
"online" all the time and the fricken site say 24/7 support
What a joke that is.
3. For a web hosting company they should have support over a long
weekend through rotating shifts, but no, they're closed until
the Tuesday after labor day.
4. I can't get into the control panel to make changes, so I click on
the option to have my username or password sent to me, I have
yet to see this.

It's a sad, sad realization when a company that may have had good service and support at one time, gets too big for their own good (maybe they're not big) and service goes through the floor. I'd me more than happy to service web hosting at a fraction of their customer base and give quality service to customers. When will companies like this learn.

Verdict : The first two years were fine but within the past 2 months my website has been down on several occasions. I understand that equipment does fail... the problem is that my site has been down for over a week and I have no one to contact, no response to live-chat requests and no response to numerous emails.
The Customer Service is so weak I have to question their level of interest in their own business.
Be that as it may I'll just move my account.
I cannot recommend this service provider to anyone. In fact, I have to recommend that you avoid them.

I picked them almost 3 years ago because they are a local company and the price seemed decent. But the service seems to work only just long enough to make me forget about the previous problem.

The server has now been down for 3 days. No website, no email, no support. This is infuriating.

I called their service line and they said that they could take a message but someone wouldn't contact me until the next day... it was noon. And she said I could call another number, which had a busy signal.

Looking over my ticket history, it seems every 4-6 months there has been a critical problem with the server hosting my website.

If you want reliable service -- if your email is important to you and you can't tolerate having no access to your email for days at a time every once in a while -- don't use Webserve.

I like to think I"m a very patient person, but I have none left for this company. I'm switching.

Verdict : Reliability has always been marginal, but has deteriorated sharply now. My website has been down for the last week. Repeated requests to Tech Support eventually bring it up, only to have it go down again within hours. (this is not a complicated site). Emails are being lost. Even when the site is working, I am unable to log into site administration or ftp. I have numerous messages from Support indicating that they have fixed the problems, but they're not fixed.
And as icing on the cake, their Security Certificate has expired!
Needless to say, I'm looking elsewhere.

Verdict : This host has been a nightmare for me.

At first it was great, but about 6 months into my hosting problems started appearing. First it was slow loading pages, then their support staff took forever to answer tickets (2 to 3 weeks for a single response). I got tired of them and moved to another host, but there was 3 months left in my pre-paid year of hosting and according to their website, they have a money back guarantee. To test this "promise" i contacted one of their sales agents via email pretending to me a new potential customer. The sales agent responded that in my example (which was exactly what i was going through at the time), i would be eligible for a refund of the remaining 3 months left that i paid for. I sent this information along to the support person who was slowly answering my ticket. They never sent the money (which was around $56.00). I sent a complaint to the Better Business Bureau of British Columbia (where Webserve offices are located) and the host still didnt send the money. In fact out of all the correspondence in the complaint, Webserve only responded twice and they ignored all questions the mediator had. Over 2 years have gone by and i still have not received my refund.

Recently though something new happened. I have 3 domains hosted with them. I emailed them over 2 weeks ago to send me the auth-codes so that i can transfer the domains to another registrar. They haven't responded. Yet again.

THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES, STAY AWAY FROM THEM. SURE THE SERVICE IS CHEAP, BUT THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND. THEY SHOULD BE IN JAIL.

P.S. I moved to LunarPages which has much better service. Good luck trying to cancel your account if you move to another host.

Verdict : I started web hosting for my business with webserve.ca mainly because it was very reasonably priced. Within a month, I found that clients would call me back saying emails to me were bouncing ot me. I would then find out that web site has down for hours. I would then go to webserve.ca and even there own site is down. So now I would call webserve.ca customer support to report an outage but CS rep. would direct me to website to open a support ticket. The Customer Representative was rude and actually started shouting at me when I asked to speak to a manager. The TERMS OF SERVICE has a clause in which they can charge peoples Credit Cards automatically for RENEWAL OF SERVICE. In my case, they charged my CREDIT CARD anyway thinking I may not even notice the charge. I had to dispute the charge and provide PROOF OF CANCELATION that I had sent webserve via their website. I declare webserve.ca as a fraud and scam, please go to other web hosting places, don;t waste your time and money with this place.

I firmly believe they are just out to make a quick buck from newbies or something? - being a newbie myself, I thought I would go Canadian for my hosting - webserve was on some top canadian webhost site (Yeah Right) - I used Paypal - NOT my credit card to pay for 1 month as a test, it took them 2 days to setup my account, it took me two hours to figure out something was horribly wrong with this company ;) 20 - 60 second pageload times for the control panel? I quickly requested my money back the next day, (summed it up to them as an issue with me on the east coast, them on the west for the slowness) - they refunded me within days (i'll give them that, but thats it :)) I have since realized hosting in Canada is just NOT an option, I will gladly spend my money south of the border for good reliable hosting, - Pay the extra 3 or 4 bucks and get yourself something thats actually going to work, work well, and provide good support - don't fall for this company, and certainly do not provide your credit card to them, or purchase anything beyond a month (if you feel obligated to give them a try lol)

Verdict : Very poor customer service. Their support techs are not very knowledgeable. When asked about poor page load times within the domain management pages, they said, "it is normal for the page to take 20 - 50 seconds to load since its hosted on a shared server". Some support requests have gone unanswered for a year (still no response). Webmail doesn't allow users to change their own passwords. Service is often down with no explanation.

Many of the reviews on this page are from the same people. Search for IP 66.199.162.12 to see what I mean. Perhaps they're trying to up their own ratings.

When I first signed on, the service was decent, the live chat was in operation (though I suspected at many points that I was actually dealing with a bot of some sort), and my site was quick to load.

That seems so long ago.

The live chat is gone, my site loads slowly (up to 10 seconds), and as of right now, clicking on one of my pages shows a Windows " There is not enough space on the disk" IIS error.

In the spring of this year, they went and migrated my MS SQL db onto another machine and kind of, umm, forgot to tell me.

Round about the same time, they forgot to renew my .ca domain name but remembered to charge my CC.

I only gave them a 2 on Customer Support instead of the -14 they deserve out of respect for the two techs I once dealt with who actually knew what they were doing.

Run, don't walk, to any other host you can find. I'm switching this afternoon.

However - I will say that the price was half decent (for CF/SQL hosting) AND it was nice to have the live chat support for those 1am support issues - even though it took 40-80min to get anything resolved. PLEASE - avoid this host at all costs.

Verdict : Webserve Canada started out being a decent, if not perfect, service.

However, over the last six months, the situation has deteriorated to a point almost beyond belief.

The two sites that I have hosted with them are constantly down. Their "network status" page has been broken for months. Tickets are either not responded to, or responded to with ridiculous "the problem is fixed" responses when it is apparent that the ticket hasn't even been read.

Their "24/7" live chat support never responds anymore.

I have switched one of my sites to another company, and will be switching the second one if they don't clean up their act soon.

I DO NOT recommend this company.

Verdict : Chose this site when I started my business, based mainly on price. At first it was pretty good, some minor problems but quickly resolved. Ever sincethe beginning of 2007 the service and reliability has plummeted. Tech support now won't even reply to emails, My email client successfully logs on and "sends/receives" but nothing is sent or received. It is as if the emails are now floating in cyberspace. they moved my site to a new server in May, and things improved until the email fiasco. Signed up for 2 years, but will bite the bullet and choose a new host in the next couple of days, based on reviews from this site.

Verdict : Right from the start their service was sub-par but relatively cheap. Website up time was never that great and email is exceedingly slow. Since April of 2007 I have not been able to send email, I can receive email but I cannot answer them. Tech support has not been able to resolve this issue. They claim that my ISP is blocking, but I confirmed that Shaw does not block ports. I also tried connecting through Telus and it still did not work. I will be discontinuing service.

Verdict : Signed up for their Unix Plus hosting plan because it looked like a great deal. After signing up with them, I began the transfer of my accounts from my previous hosting company. I waited a week after receiving my welcome emails and still did not have my web space or email accounts activated. After a couple of calls, I learned that they simply had never enabled my account. It was a case of each customer service rep not bothering to go beyond their basic duties to find the cause of the problem. One of their customer reps, Sharmila, has consistently provided the best service.

On to the problems:
- I have had down periods on my website and email accounts during critical business hours. Down time ranges from a few minutes (they decided to reboot the computer), a few hours (they decided to do maintenance), over 24 hours (was told they were experiencing a distributed denial of service attack).
--> I have never received a notification email warning me about scheduled downtimes or maintenance work.

- Changes to my web hosting server. Recently, Webserve relocated my server instance to a new physical machine. During the move, my hosting environment changed. The end result is that functionality on many of my web apps is lost.

- Technical support around this issue has been consistent. I call them, they attempt to solve the problem and then they pass it off to one of their senior techs. I will receive an email later asking for steps to reproduce the problem. In previous email communications, I have given exact error messages on my web apps, precise instructions on how to see the problems live and possible causes of the problem from my own research. It has been a week now that this problem has persisted, I'm now beginning to look at new hosting options.

- I do not receive all of my emails. I've had people contact me and ask why I have not responded to their last email. After some confusion , I've had the email resent showing me when it was originally sent. This really concerns me since most people will not follow up to find out why they did not get a response to an email.

On a positive note, on a previous call to customer support they extended my plan by one month free of charge for the downtime.

Verdict : I signed up for a VPS account with these guys and the account came very bare bones. I had to contact support to activate features that should have been ready to go. After contacting support over a span of 3 days to get things set up their support just stopped responding. The live support on the website no longer was active and my support ticket went completely unanswered. I wasn't even successful at getting up and running with these guys! It's a shame because they have great potential and are from my home town. Based on all the reviews I've seen along with my experience I don't have faith that they can be a reliable, long-term hosting service for me.

Verdict : Unreliable and unknowledgeable tech support. After hosting with this company for nearly I year I had frequent site outages. It would go down for an hour or two almost every week. Verdict : I gave these guys a 1 because negative numbers were not an option. Easily the worst hosting company I have dealt with in the past 8 years, bar none. Downtimes of 24 hours+, multiple times a week were commonplace. Turnaround on support calls was 24-36 hours at the best of times, and email responses were negligible. Telephone support does nothing but apologize for the downtime. I cancelled my account over 12 weeks ago and have yet to receive the refund that I was promised. If lousy service, zero support, and a website that is down over 50% of time is what you're looking for, webserve.ca is the company that can deliver.

I have since switched my site to LFC Hosting and have experienced better than 99.8% uptime. Website traffic is up over 85% and sales have gone through the roof.

Verdict : Our experience with webserve since we upgraded our account to include reselling has been nothing but unacceptable. Our server is down more than it is up. Getting an answer or resolution to problems is a joke. If there are any good reviews on this site about webserve they are either from an employee looking to save his/her job or they are so old they don't reflect reality.

I would not recommend webserve.ca to anyone. I am here looking for a reliable supplier to move to. My concern is that webserve has received a far higher rating from this site then they deserve, so I'm not sure how much value to put on the ratings of other sites.

Verdict : I've experienced many problems with this hosting company.

Email would be down for hours, or delayed by hours. Sometimes POP3 would work, sometimes not. Same for the webmail interface. Now, my site is up 50% of the time, and takes about 5-10 seconds to load a php page. My company's image has suffered.

The live chat techs seem to have canned "Thank you for your understanding" and "This issue will not happen again" responses. Live chat works only some of the time, because they must be overwhelmed (everything must be crashing).

I'm just ahead of the 1 month notification limit, so I'm going to switch. Pay a bit more, and get less problems is my lesson learned.

Verdict : I have had problem after problem with them. Many they create them self.

June of 06 they installed an update to the ensim server and gave me less then 24 hours notice. Their email said they would be down from 6pm to 6am (did not specifi PST or EST) I am est 6am they were not back up. Tried to chat with a rep who said "Sorry, Give us More Time" promised to have it up in an hour, the hour comes and goes and they still dont have it up.

I had paid for a google, and yahoo pay per click campaign and lost thousands of dollars.

This is not the first time. The online chat is usesless. They say on their site they have 24 hour support but in reality they dont. They have someone answer the chat but more often then not they say they will forward the ticekt to an ADMIN. If these people who answer the chats are not admin to fix the problem, how can they say they hve 24 hour support?

Again and again the in many cases create their own problems

As a result of this behavior I have lost thousands of dollars.

Verdict : The email support sucks and is rarely helpful. Phone support is better. In 3 months my site was down 3 times. And the most recent problem (they patched their servers) and then restored from a 1 month old backup (so all my recent data was missing). And it was tough to backup the MS SQL Server database because they charge extra charge per month for MS SQL Server client connection. All in we save money on web hosting but it cost us several thousand in lost data and all this while we were doing a Google AdWords campaign. If you want cheap and unreliable, go with WebServe. If you want reliable go with another web host.

Verdict : One of the few hosting companies to actually have a live chat department - believe me it helps when you have a ticket laying around and need ANSWERS. I've outgrown their Unix Plus plan (moved into a VPS) but when I was with them, they were great.

Verdict : Our experience with Webserve has been very nice. They are a professional and responsible outfit. While their servers are extremely stable and uptime is very good, whenever there have been issues their support team is quick to react and give you the feeling that they know what they are doing. I would rate Webserve as one of the best webhosts in Canada if not whole of North America.

Verdict : I have been with Webserve around 4 months and have been a great working with the techs on chat and phone. The relaibility has been top notch. Even the hosting plans have great numerious features with and charges are inexpensive.

After that, my site and email server was down 2-3 times per week.
I had to contact support to fix the problems. (They were responsive, but vague and didn't spell very well).
The server my email was on became blacklisted, and messages I sent to clients bounced back. After a week of the site being blacklisted,
I cancelled my service with Webserve.
No money back after 30 days.
Tons of downtime with no explanation.

Verdict : 1. Their web building interface never worked properly.
2. My webspace amount was always listed as having a mystery 30 mb used somewhere even when I had no files on the web space.
3. They autobilled my CC for domain renewals and hosting even though I specifically had checked to NOT auto renew.
4. I had to update my CC to be blank and their site still tries to auto renew this blank CC daily.
5. They still haven't re-imbursed all these charges and their response states that they don't have to either because of some user agreement that they haven't produced.
6. I am connsidering using their webspace to put up an anti webserve site and seeking legal advice.

Verdict : 1. Misleading information on WebServe website and terrible support.
2. Billing and Invoice practices
3. Domain registration took 14 days!
There is no proper trial for invoices.
Invoices are cancelled and removed from system.
There is no proper way to verify if payment was received.
Total amount paid is wrong.
credit does not show on clients account.
Amount paid is not correctly applied to invoice.
If WebServe does not have ability to process interact payments they should not offer that option.

I think they are outsorcing their support and stuff is simple incompetent.

Verdict : I would have to say that my time spent with this company was less than pleasent since I have/had more billing issues than you can imagine.
1. Was charged once a day for a years worth of service. I was quite surpised to see $1500+ in charges on my VISA. This was cleared up after multiple emails with my VISA company and webserve.
2. They let my domain lapse, and since I had it marked on auto-renew, they charged me for it (later refunded). Had to go to another company to get my domain back (which cost me more money).
3. After shutting down my website (read #2 why), they charged my VISA for my inactive domain (just like the other review). Multiple emails and online cancellation forms filled out have resolved nothing so far but this is still ongoing...I will probably have to get the good people at VISA involved again.

Overall, up time was good, tech support was OK (being generous), billing and customer service absolutely horrible.

Verdict : 1. My site was defaced (hacked) because of thir server security problem. All files were lost.
2. Site was periodically down, sometimes few days in a row.
3. They deleted all info from mySQL database when they "upgraded" their software. All info was lost.
4. Online support is outsorced and absolutely useless.
5. When I called them, there was an impression that I was speaking with the guy who is at home and with the hungover.
6. After that I cancelled my service with this "company". But problems were not over. They are keep trying to charge my credit card for the next year, even though I specifically mentioned on my cancellation request (and they confirmed it) to not to charge my credit card. I got no explanations or apologies from them. I am just lucky that my credit card expired and I renewed it few months ago.
I filed a complaint with BBB. The BBB logo on their website looks like a sad joke to me now.
