Oh my GOD! I\'m having the exact same problems. I\'ve been with the company since 2005. And I couldn\'t understand why my websites were going down. I paid one developer after another and still the sites were going down. I must have spent about $1,000 worth of developer time and within 2 weeks, the site is back down again. It has gotten to the point that I just give up. Leave the site down long enough to the point I can afford to pay another developer to put it back up again. Just three months ago, I found out it was not the developer sloppy programming (I YELLED AT MY DEVELOPER). He warned me that it could be my hosting company and I ignored him. This happened before I spent the $300. It\'s a shame. The site had so much functionality to it and now nothing!!!! |

At the begining the service was OK, but nowdays they have a problem after other. DNS problems, hacker atacks and so on ... (any other excuses).
My web sites are going DOWN frequently. I have some emails problems, and now they have stopped some of my scripts without even sending me a notification. So they kill my websites and they don't even send me a notification or explanation about the problem. I'm very, very disappointed with WebsiteSource. I don't recommend it at all. Save your time and money and look for some other hosting company.

We have found their tech support to be TERRIBLE! We were ignored (5 phone messages, 25 online chats, and 50 support help requests) for an entire week on one occasion! No one has ever returned our phone calls-we had to keep calling back. Their tech support usually responds 24 hours later, 2/3 of the time you can’t reach someone by phone or online chat. This week their mail has been down for 48 hours for the entire company! Do not use this company! |

Ive had really good experience with this host. Software allows you to host several websites on one account. Its pretty easy to set up your additional sites with their software - you do it on your own without their help. I have url's registered with networksolutions. I can set up the site with the websitesource software, set the pointers at networksolutions and wah lah, the next day the new site is working.

so far so good. fast customer service. you need to spend time to be familiar with control panel, but once you learn it is easy to handle. |

I've been with WSS for many a year now. I have had a great many hosting sites on their servers. Additionally, my clients have also hosted with a great deal of other hosting providers. The simple truth is that every hosting provider has a downside.
Over the years, WSS has had some DOS attacks, the occasional backup process running that slows down your machine, and have had some minor blunders. It's to be expected. BUT, they adapt, which is more than I can say for other hosters.
When one of their datacenter's in Maryland died due to fire (not their fault. they were merely renting space in it. A lot of other hosters went out too), within a couple of weeks, they had moved servers over to a more robust facility. as example.
PROS:
They're control panel is good. It allows a lot of things that webhosters like me want to use. I don't care about easy webscript installation. I want an email control panel that a monkey could use.
Their billing system is good.
Their VPS is great.
Their ticket system is very good. And their live chat is pretty good.
Most of the time, the people they have on their support staff are pretty knowledgeable.
CONS:
Their servers can be a little slow. Probably because they're hitting the cheap hosting market, which I think is a bad idea for them. They should raise the price and put less people on each server. Or at least offer a plan that does that.
Also, DON't use WSS as your Miva hoster. Their mediocre at best. But then again, Miva is a mediocre product. And only a select FEW hosters can actually run a Miva site well. And you pay $50/month ofr every one of them.
Lastly, a Word to the wise: Before you get cheap cheap hosting with ANYONE, just do the math to figure out how many cheap hosting sites that hoster needs to handle in order to hire JUST ONE tech person. It's sobering, and it should really put your expectations for cheap hosting into perspective. Go for a plan that doesn't put 700 people on one server. :)

I've been with this provider for over 3 years and my VPS server gets more reliable as my tenure increases. There were times where a support person would modify my Tomcat/HTTPD config files and upset my server but over-all I have no problems with this company.
My setup is a Virtual Private Server/Linux/Apache/Tomcat/MySQL. If your product is designed right you should have no problems.
Control Panel is a little off with starting processes, etc...but I'm a
command line person anyways.

Oh my goodness where do i start from a lie about dos attack to 99.9% Downtime. I lost 50% of my clients and probably a large chunk of change. My marketing went down the tubes and the support had nothing to tell me except its on your end. Well they rebooted their mysql servers and realized it was on their end. Just adding to my woes and never getting a descent page load time ever. AVOID AT ALL RISKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
