This company's uptime record is poor, and their support is almost non-existant.
My site often goes down for a week or more at a time.
Right now, my incoming mail server is not accepting e-mails. This situation has persisted for almost 2 weeks already and I cannot reach anyone there to talk to them about it.
Their phone number is in Central America (an international call from the U.S.) and rarely does anyone answer the phone, but an answering machine answers so I get charged for the call anyway.
DO NOT USE THIS HOSTING SERVICE! IT STINKS!!!

These guys really are the pits. Can not reach them via email or post to renew my 4 domains. Support is virtually non-existent. Servers are always going down. DO NOT USE.

I had initially signed up with "freehostingweb" before they were acquired/merged/reflagged as aaa-webhost. The service was about what you'd expect for $35/yr, and all things considered they were fairly reliable. I had no serious complaints.

Following the acquisition/merger/reflagging with aaa-webhost, the service slid rapidly downhill. Regular outages of 30 minutes to an hour became the norm, bi-monthly catastrophic crashes wiping out all data, little or no response to help tickets, inaccurate and out of date info on the main company page, you're getting the idea right?

I left aaa-webhost in January 2006 when they experienced the most significant crash I had witnessed to date. For two weeks websites hosted by this service (and indeed the services website itself) were offline. Email inquiries (After three years I had a few direct email addresses that didn't go through the main domain) went unanswered, everyone sat in limbo waiting.

I was able to regain control of my domain and switch to another host. The cost is approximately twice what I was paying aaa-webhost, and it is WORTH EVERY CENT.

USE THIS SERVICE AT YOUR OWN PERIL!

If I can help anyone to steer clear from these looser, I've done my job.
They started out OK - minor glitches here and there but for the price it
didn't seem fair to complain. Then my site would be down, then my mails
get lost then their whole operation crashes like once every few months.
Sometimes it would be DAYS before they rebooted. This time it is over a
week. My website isn't important but I feel bad for anyone whose
accessability of their website or mail is crucial.
Customer Service you ask? I have NEVER gotten a reply to any email
I've sent them. If you call the 800 number you get an answering
machine.

Once again, my website is down. This time, my other website (also hosted by them on their other server) is down too. What's worse, THEIR website is down now. I haven't been able to get e-mail for several days.

This is not the first time my site has been down. It has happened at least 4 or more times before; usually for several days at a time.

Their phone number is somewheer in South America (Costa Rica, as I recall), so it's an expensive long-distance call (and not one that can be made for free from a cell phone).

The last time this happened, they said their server crashed and they had to set up a new one. but when they finally did get it back up, all my files were missing. I had to re-ftp my website to their server, and who knows how many e-mails I lost. Don't they do backups???

If at all possible, I will move my domains from them and never return. I hope I can get them registered with someone else before they expire (in about 6 months).

If this form would allow it, I would rate them 0 out of 5, not 1 out of 5. They don't even rate a 1.

They are the worst hosts anyone can ever have. After taking you payments yo are on your own.they do not reply emails and support links on the site are dead links. My time with them was a nightmare as the site was always down and they could not be reached. my site was once down for 4 weeks and i sent over 50 emails with no replies.
After doing my research and reading reviews on them, i discovered that there were so many others who had fallen into their clutches too.When i tried to leave ,they wouldnt release my domain name. I had to do this through www.dotregister.com who they are resellers for. Anyone hosting with them who has encountered such problems should complain to www.dotregister.com andit will be sorted out in a few days as was done in my case. They helped me transfer my domain ,all i paid was $15 for renewal with dotregister.

No reply in one month. They did reset my password but no comments from them and the site is still down. FTP down and their own web site is falling apart. Has anyone telephoned them?

Where to begin... I was with aaa-webhost (also freehostingweb.com) for a year and they were fine. Then they got an "under new management" sign on their site, and just tanked it.

Their site broke - in particular, the support URL was broken for about 3 months, at which point they just *removed it*! That's right, no support. Outages were frequent and long - after being down for a full week I started pinging them every 15 minutes, and over the last 6 months with them uptime was 85%. Email was not answered. And, the renewal price that is advertised as $35/year suddenly becomes $50 when renewal time comes up. I almost lost my domain name because they would not answer email to do the transfer.

This place is a total loser. Stay far, far away from them. I find it hard to believe they are still around - google their name and find what people have written about them.
