If they had a negative rating on this site, I would choose it. You get what you pay for though.
They suspended my entire account which hosted several domains because of a "claimed" phishing scam operating on one of the domains. This was A COMPLETE LIE, the most that site did was subscribe to an RSS feed which was cached with a one hour expiration. They feebly re-enabled my account after I wasted hours of my weekend arguing with them, asking over and over again for the proof to their claim which they could not provide. The support people were complete morons. Now, weeks later, the web root of the particular domain that was flagged for the phishing scam is set to 000 permission out of nowhere and the site is inaccessible and I am unable to reset the folder permissions. They aren't telling me what happened, but apparently they just decided to F-CK me over. !?!?! DO NOT EVER USE EHOSTPROS!!!!
Here is a follow up chat conversation and another reason not to go with ehostpros.
Tom: Welcome to EHostPros.com 24/7 Live Support
Tom: How can i help you ?
Luke: yes, one of my web folders has been stripped of permission
Luke: my domain name is lujosolutions.com
Tom: Can you pllease provide the error what you get ?
Luke: /public_html/chippewa50 has d---------
Luke: ftp or cPanel does not let me access the folder
Luke: in cPanel when I click the folder I get "Internal Error, can't find that folder"
Luke: and in cPanel when I try to change the folder permissions to 755 I get "[a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]"
Luke: in my ftp client when I try to access the folder I get:
Luke: COMMAND:> CWD /public_html/chippewa50
550 Can't change directory to /public_html/chippewa50: Permission denied
ERROR:> Requested action not taken (e.g., file or directory not found, no access).
Tom: Please hold let me check out.
Tom: Ok
Tom: Can you please tell what permission you need ?
Luke: 755, or drwxr-xr-x
Tom: Please hold
Luke: ok
Luke: hello ?
Tom: Thank you for waiting.
Tom: The folder does not allow us to change the permission.
Tom: Please open a ticket to support@ehostpros.com
Tom: we will work on the issue and update you once we fix it.
Luke: how do I open a ticket?
Luke: just email them?
Tom: Yes.
Luke: how soon can this be fixed?
Luke: and why did ehostpros lock me out of that folder?
Luke: I have not touched it myself
Luke: aren't you support ?
Luke: if so, why do I have to open a ticket to fix it?
Tom: Sorry for the inconvenience.
Luke: people are waiting for this site to come back up and this is the second time you guys have done something like this to me
Tom: We also do not touch any data of the customer with out their permission.
Luke: them somebody hacked into your system because only root can do what happened to this folder
Tom: I am sorry Luke |

After one year, my account was suspended for failure of payment... I never received a noticed that my renewal payment was due. I renewed using my Pay Pal account and my account was reset. 8 months later, I canceled with EHostPros and switched to another web hosting company. Since then EHostPros has charged my credit card for a one year renewal, and when I contacted support, I was told that it was a mistake and that I would be refunded. To make things worse, my pay pal account was set for automatic subscription renewal with EHostPros so I was charged for a second time within 4 months for a yearly renewal. I send a request to billing asking for a refund and they replied that this in not in their policy. After insisting that I wanted a refund, they told me that someone in ADMIN would get back to me ASAP, and then I never heard back from EHostPros. I am able to reach live support, but they simply tell me to email billing and that someone will get back to me ASAP. Note that the last time I talked to live support, it took 30 minutes of waiting and finally they once again told me to email billing. EHostPros is simply doing nothing and not replying to any email. So as it stands, I was charged 2 times for a yearly subscription and I don't even have an account with EHostPros, and they don't want to give me a refund. I recommend to stay away from EhostPros. If you do decide to use them, never give them your credit card, and if you use Pay Pal, make sure you remove your pay pal auto-renewal subscription if you decide to cancel your account, otherwise, good luck in getting your money back. |

I am a "newb" to the web hosting world and undertook a small public website service - manual directory and a forum are our biggest points of interest.
I have to say - when things are good with ehostpros, they're GOOD. When they're bad, you're glad you work in an office without windows or you might just jump out. They have no telephone contact so no way for you to REALLY harrass them when you have SERIOUS problems with your website.
The forum is the part of my site that generates the MOST traffic, and in effect, the most income for my site. In the last two months, I have had considerable MySQL errors in my forum - according to ehostpros, they are not my fault but the fault of someone else who is hogging the MySQL connections? My forum has been down once a week. Their customer service staff is NOT apologetic (unless you explicitly say you are disappointed that they have not been apologetic!) and ignore my questions about whether I will be reimbursed for the loss of business. The support they boast to have available "24/7 - 365" has been non existant for the last hour. When you submit a ticket, they waste precious time asking for information that you have already filled out in their ticket submission form (such as your user login for cPanel!).
Customer service is POOR. Do not try and run a small independant business off of ehostpros. You will regret it! |

I've been with eHostPros for over three years now. It has been a bit of a struggle but overall I am satisfied with their service.
In the beginning things were excellent. Then, in 2005, their service went downhill in a hurry. My domains were hacked and while they DID resolve the problem they did NOT restore any of the .html files that were defaced during the attack. (I had to manually replace more than 400 index files, plus subdomains and ftp accounts.) I also experienced a great deal of downtime in 2004-2005. To add insult to injury, customer support actively ignored my chat requests on their Live Chat system. (If I tried to chat with them via a different computer IP address they would eventually answer, thinking I was a different customer.)
I'm happy to say that since November of last year things have gotten a lot better, as far as my service is concerned. My domains have experienced only minimal downtime since January, and they are all monitored by http://siteuptime.com so I can say that with complete confidence. The staff at eHostPros have been very helpful as of late. I'm glad I stuck with this company. |

F We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices.

EhostPros (www.ehostpros.com) is one of the worst hosting companies I have ever come across. Their lack of support, ability to configure their servers, and the fact I cancelled my account two months ago and have not received a refund, has led me to this conclusion.
I hadn’t purchased a hosting account since 1999, and due to the new technologies that have emerged I was a bit clueless on what hosting company and services I should seek. I found EhostPros using a search engine, and the page seemed great for someone who was in my position. I ordered an account and it was setup in around 48 hours and went from there.
At first I was tweaking my coding skills and didn’t use any advanced functions like mySQL, PHP or CGI, but when it came time to implement such features and use them, I was at a loss due to restrictions placed on the accounts. I soon found out that most of the configuration settings, except a few you can use via the CPANEL must be set by a service professional. So I contacted them using their online chat service to request the features be implemented.
The person who answered the chat referred me to their support@ehostpros.com email address. I received an automatic response and then had to wait a few days for them to respond, telling me they need to contact their administrator to setup such things. I waited and they were eventually setup.
When these features were setup they used really old versions of the programs so my newer scripts wouldn’t work. I had purchased vbulletin and then contacted them using the online support. Again I was referred to the email address, and then again told that I had to wait for the administrator to fix the problems.
Once I had vbulletin up and running I would experience server side problems almost twice a month, resulting in down time due to someone on their side messing up the configuration. During this time I never received a solution using their online chat, was always forwarded to the email account, and half of the time had to wait days for their administrator to fix these issues.
During the entire duration of my web page being online they had to reset the entire account four times, and each time leaving me to reset file permissions, and reconfigure a countless number of other configuration settings that were wiped out. This only added to the downtime of my network of web pages.
Needless to say I got tired of the lack of professional support and sought out another host. When I found one, I cancelled my account with Ehostpros and was told I would receive a refund for my unused months within 24-48 hours. After this time passed I questioned them about it and was told that their page stated it would take up to a maximum of 14 days.
After 14 days passed I asked where my payment was and they said it takes 14 business days. This is not what their refund page said, but to my surprise a few hours later it was changed. At this point in time I found this a bit odd, but decided to wait the four more days for the refund.
Once this time frame had passed I asked again where my money was. I was given the run around and have been getting the same old excuses for over two months now. It is now nearing Christmas time, and due to my disability status I cannot work and was planning to use the refunded money to buy what little I could for my family.
I have now sought out the help of free legal counsel, and I am hoping the bank’s who's debit card I used can get the money back for me sometime before Christmas.
If you’re shopping around for a hosting company I would stay away from Ehostpros, as unlike their name they are one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with, and their lack of refunding my account clearly shows they do not give a damn.
For reference, their administrators email is anand@rsanetworks.net. They do not give any contact information other then a P.O. BOX address and a fax number. |

I must be using a different ehostpro then the other reviewers or else I've just been very lucky. I have 4 personal websites hosted at ehostpros. They are low volume sites. For this reason I may not know about outages and intermittant slow operations.
With this said my experience with their tech support has been VERY good. I open up a ticket on line for support. In every case I've their tech support had the problem or request handled within 10 to 20 minutes. Their response was just as good at 2am EST as it was during the afternoon. I AM disappointed that they do not have a phone number you can call for support but so far this has not been an issue for me. The other reviews make me a little nervious about recommending ehostpros but all I can say is for my level of usage ehostpro has been very good. - Frank |

DO NOT USE EHOSTPROS!!! Their customer service is TERRIBLE and they have been holding on to money they owe me for MONTHS! After repeatedly contacting their tech support department, then billing, then was "forwarded" to a non-responsive "admin," I opened up a dispute on PayPal to which they have not responded to for over 2 weeks! This is rediculous. I've never had any problems like this from any other host I've used. Don't bother.
I use Siteground now, and not only are they more responsive, they know how to use a phone! |

Discovered my domain was spam blacklisted recently. Why? Because ehostpros (bless them) hadn't heard of server security procedures, and had allowed their server to be hacked into and used to send out mass junk mail. After weeks of complaining, what had they done about it? Nothing. They refused to reply to emails, forum posts etc, and so I had to move hosting company just to release my own website from spam blacklists. Oh, and to boot - their allowing junk mail to be sent resulted in all users of that server to be inundated with mail delivery failed reports - several hundred a day. Avoid, please. |

This company has had poor customer service since I started with it year and a half ago. Very difficult to get in contact with someone and they don't give you much control over your own domain names. I cancelled several months ago and they have yet to cancel the account and continue to bill. DO NOT use this hosting company. There are several more out there that provide a MUCH better service for a better price. |

I've been hosted with ehostpros for nearly 3 years now. At first, their support and service was great for my sites- 2 personal, 1 business.
Recently, I've noticed that their support has nose-dived. I've experienced outages. Surly tech support people, that is, if you can even rouse one. Their servers aren't regularly backed up and have significantly decreased in speed lately.
They also can't seem to get my email straight to save their lives- each year they've sent my billing information to an old email address, then canceled my accounts for several days after informing me (via my old, no longer valid email) of upcoming account cancelation- this even though I've updated the billing information 3 times or more, their online billing control panel seems to lose it each time. Then it takes several days for them to re-instate my accounts after I clear the matter with them.
I've grown tired of their increasingly bad service- I don't want to stick around until it degrades past the point of non-useability. I do NOT recommend ehostpros to anyone looking for trouble-free hosting- not anymore.

I got what I paid for. An inexpensive host but only for personal sites. I absolutely could not recommend this host for any business, period. Crashed servers, hacked sites, abysmal email services, lack of tech support, and overall poor services. During a 2-day episode for someone else's hacked site they downed and restored the entire server leaving 4 sites down and they barely updated the forums, would not respond to email, and 'live' chat was DOA. Then some of our sites came up with hacked pages left in the root folders. A proper restore should have gotten us back up in a day at most and not included files that post-dated the backup. I'm currently moving all my domains(12) off this host because they have absolutely tanked as far as service and reliability in the last 2 months and my clients take a dim view of my choice on this one, can't say I'd argue. Don't risk it. |

Ehostpros worked fine for the first year or so. Downtime here and there, slow loading sometimes, etc., but nothing extraordinary. When I was hosted on Dreamhost previously, we were always upgraded automatically anytime they upgraded the plan we were on. With ehostpros, we had to e-mail them once we noticed we weren't getting the space and bandwidth upgrade all the other customers were getting for the same price we were paying. That was a little frustrating to me. But that wasn't even that bad. The worst part was, after a year and a half, two years with them, the site just started timing out randomly during the day. It wasn't just once in a while, it was for 30-50% of the week for weeks on end, and when it wasn't timing out, you really had no idea if it was going to load or if it was going to give you some weird error message saying that the url had reached its redirection limit and you might have to reset your cookies and then take you to a Forbidden error page. They're definitely not worth the hassle and their prices aren't low enough to put up with it. |
