Have maintained a reseller account for several years and their service regularly "does not respond" - is "not found" and generally is very poor. customer service runs through cycles, sometimes responds within 1 day mostly several days. They also do business as www.247-host.com. Stay away from these folks unless you want lots of headaches. I only kept my account because I had a couple of accounts who used the service for only personal use and uptime was not a serious issue. they have now left me for better service elsewhere. so I have now closed my icannahost account.. |

All my sites are at this moment in the midst of the second major downtime in just a couple weeks. This company does not meet up to either of their advertised uptime guarantees - 99% on their website and 99.9% on their ebay listings. They do not respond to their emails. They will not issue refunds for not meeting their uptime guarantees. Any other hosting company I've used has sent out downtime/estimated return notices via email, or at the very least they've posted this information on their website. This company does nothing of the sort. I've stopped referring people to icanahost, and I'm searching for a reasonably-priced replacement - any recommendations? |

I have been with these people for about 3 years or so, I'm not going to say there perfect.
They could be a bit quicker on answering email for support problems, as this is a little slow.
I found them on ebay and buy reseller space from them, we have had a few outages with them from time to time with a few email and Sql problems, but the do get back to you in about anywhere from 1 hour to 6 hours.
I have had many other reseller accounts with others and these fella's are not to bad to be with. |

Great Host! Been with them for 1 year now. I would highly recommend them. By the way, there prices are amazing. I use to pay hundreds of dollars for hosting and now I pay a fraction of that cost.

They do not answer email surport for days if at all. Simple things like why are your servers down again.
They had 2 major outages/crashes in the past month trashing whole servers of 100' of users. They even had to create new pw for all acounts. On 10/8-10/11 you could not use cpanel and they had to go off line for more than 36 hrs to fix.
Stay away!!!

As of August, 2006, I've not had any problems so I'm very happy with iCanaHosting. The price is right and the speed is excellent.
After reading the comments below, you know what I would like to see? Live Webcam pictures of the actual hosting site. Boy, wouldn't that be a shock to some of us. Those data center pictures of some hosting companies are obviously so bogus!

These guys STINK, I have a reseller with them, and like everyone else has been saying about these guys 99%downtime 1%uptime. I'm almost tempted to complain to ebay and paypal. They better be giving my money back, I've only hosted with them for 2weeks or less. Best thing about these guys is there 30 day money back guarantee. So hopefully I can get my money back, what a waste of time and business. |

So far very good! Not sure why thier are bad reviews. I have had hosting with iCanaHost for over 1 year. By far the best compnay I have dealt with! I have recommended them to several of my friends and they have had no problems either.
I would not waste money on other hosts. Hosting companies charge so much these days. When I ran into iCanaHost, i was extremely suprised with the low cost. Now I am amazed at their service. Much better than I exprected.
You should give them a try!

I had a reseller account with this host and I have to say I wish I never got an account with them, their support is slow, it said when I first bought it from eBay that the support was 24/7, I got a reply every 12 hours or sometimes less and it's as if one person is running the whole company.
At first the sites were going down regularly and were going slow a lot, then recently I'm told that their server was under a DDOS attack and thats why all the sites were down for hours, so a few days later I'm moved to a server that I thought would be a lot better but it went down a few hours after it was up and then told it was just because of the DDOS on the last server, surely they should have some sort of DDOS protection afterall they have a lot of servers that are all broke but still there should be protection against this sort of thing. I emailed and emailed about the server being down and a few days later I'm told that I should use the correct info which was another server they moved me to, this was going down a lot too, with all the downtime I lost customers and they were annoyed. I've now cancelled my account with iCantHost and I do NOT recommend anyone serious about business to go with them, they are the worst hosts ever and can't even keep their own servers secure.
I still wonder how they get away with all this after all the bad reviews. |

Great Hosting! Had no problems with them. I tansferred over humdreds of sites to them. Since they are ver reliable, I am taking teh time to praise them. I have not found a signle host better then them and i have hosted for over 3 years now. 24/7 support and response time is quite good. No problems with mySQL or any other services. Fast Hosting as well, spped was quite good. The bes tthing is their prices! A must Try. iCanaHost is oe of the best!

I purchased a reseler account from icanahost.com
They are also 247-host.com ;-)
They are so stupid that they have one of 247-host.com's pages on icanahost.com's site.
I cant believe that anyone can be happy with these guys.
They couldnt even get my account to work when they set it up, and then when I needed support I never got it...LOL
They also spammed my email address that I used to signup with and I am in the middle of reporting this so that their IP addresses get listed as spam addresses!
If your business depends on your host, like all internet businesses, dont waste your time, and money.
Just step up and get good hosting in the first place, and skip these beginners.

I know this is going to sound like im an angry former customer warning others to stay away from Icannahost.... I AM.
Yes, just like one of the previous poster said, all the positive posts sound more like ads, which leads me to believe that they were written by icanahost staff.
They are always "forwarding your problem" to their non existant
data center. I say non existant because nothing gets corrected, so it does`nt matter whether they exist or not.
I`ve been with them for about 2 months. The first week was great, despite some of my php scripts not being compatible, so I remotely hosted them with another company.
Then the constant downtime began. MySQL always going down, server speed down to a crawl... september was terrible with the downtime and my business suffered because of it.
If you`re with them, periodicly check the surver status in your cpanel, and you`ll see that they`re over crowding their servers.
Because uptime is crucial to my business, I ended up having to contact support almost every day...twice a day or more. Dont believe me? I saved all those sent emails. Response was very slow as they forwarded my problem to their "data center". I know they are`nt resellers, but they sure act like they are, especially because of the slow support.
Finally, the other week my site got hacked from the server end, and they acted like it was my fault! Saying that my site was compromised and that they dont allow that on their servers. They also said that they could`nt restore my files, and then charged me for another month! All the while my site was down.That was the last straw. I canceled my subscription.
Well it`s a new day for me. Im tired of their rubbish excuses. No more cheap hosting from ebay for me.
My business is my livelyhood, and i`ve learned my lesson and im now on a manages dedicated server.
In a post below. one of "Icannahost`s staff" mentioned that they`re starting to offer VPS hosting. Oh really??? Are those going to be partitioned off their already over crowded servers??
Icanahost may be good for personal webpages that do not use databases. But for business use.... Stay away from them. |

Hello,
I think they are an amazing company. iCanaHost rocks. Have had over 40 saites hosted with them. they have 99.9% uptime. Their features are also great, with cpanel/fantastico. Its too bad people are only critical and never write good reviews. I think there plans are also amaizing as well. Considering this, they just started selling VPS servers, I am considering purchasing this as well.
In my opnion iCanaHost is by far one of the best hosting companies.
The best value for you dollar.

This is a terrible hosting company. You get what you pay for. Problems galore and 99% downtime. All they ever do is tell they will forward your email to their supposedly owned data centre and problems never get fixed. Does this sound familar "icanthost". They tell you their will switch servers course the one you have is faulty. I think all their servers are faulty.
The postive comments made about "icanthost" - i can't host - are written by icanthost (icanahost) staff. You will notice how the comments are more advertising inclined.

I have been with iCanaHost.com for more than 3 years. What a great host! They sell on Ebay and I have never seen a better host then them. They have superior 24/7 email support. I think they are the best company I have ever dealt with. All thre plans come with unlimited features.

Purchased a Reseller account form them and it started out great. Within 30 days and after selling a number of web host accounts the Icanahost system started having problems. The initial problems lasted for several hours at a time and continued for several weeks. We were told after many exchanges that our server was bad and they would move us to a new server. We had all of our customers move their accounts to the new server and within a few weeks, the same problems occured again. We lost several accounts due to the unreliability of the old and the new server. I've now found a great hardware host and all of the accounts we have moved to them are so far, very happy.
Icanahost does not care about your problrems, they lie over and over and are horribly un-reliable. You address questions to them and they ignor them and maybe answer 1 of 10.
I would not reccomend them to a dog.

I have been with iCanaHost.com for more than 5 years now. They are by far the best company I have ever hosted with. Excellen 24/7 support and prices taht you can not beat and I really mean it! They have plans starting as low as $1.99/month.
Excellent support and they offer unlimited reseller accounts as well. A truely great hosting company! If you are looking for hosting, give them a try they are amazing!

I have used iCanahost for about 10 months and have had no problems at all, I don't have an online business or anything so I don't get a huge amount of hits or anything but I have yet to encounter a problem with them, their price is insanely cheap compared to other hosts, and they setup my site within 30mins of the time my bid ended on ebay, I haven't had to deal with the tech support yet but as far as I can tell a great overall host! A++ |
